Hey Ramsey Siblings !!!! Your Dad is like everyones Dad or I would say Uncle !!!! I listened to him for 20 years on the radio when I used to drive a semi truck and your Dad helped me retire by the young age of 39 and 6 paid off houses now !!!! LOL !!!! Your Dad rocks !!!! He took me a 15 year old high school dropout and made me very wealthy and I take the wealth and start up clean and sober living rental houses that are called Oxford Houses. Your Dad is helping 33 people in 4 houses now !!!! He probably helps more people than you know. Great video and story and thanks for posting !!!!
It's the first time for me to see Daniel. Denise has been on Rachel's show a couple of times. You should see the videos that they played pranks on each in. Good stuff.
Rachel, PLEASE have another episode w/ your siblings. It is so good to see "your memories and getting along so well",.....great information for NEW parents
Money gives you confidence. I mean look at Daniel's demeanor, the way he sits with his legs crossed....He has this aura about himself that he knows he never has to worry about money simply because he knows the principles of money. I absolutely love that. I hope to one day have that aura...That money confidence aura of knowing I can afford it but don't need it. It's coming💕
The confidence likely came from his upbringing; money is not a good foundation for confidence. It can be helpful in building dignity of being able to not depend on others though.
@@SaltySaltySalty. Are you saying that a black person would sit somehow differently, with different demeanor and aura? There are two black guys on their team who have absolutely the same level of confidence as anyone else.
I didnt work during college, but always in the summer. The trade off was I was taking 6 or 7 classes a semester instead of 4 which was the minimum. Graduated early and saved money by early grad.
Love the sibling conversation! ❤️ I am the oldest of 4 and we were so blessed to be in classroom 4, as well. 👍 Thanks, this talk helped me to check-in and remember the great lessons. Now, I can determine what we want to model for our little kids! 😄🙏
Our kids blew us away. We were teaching them about money and they had to give 10%, save 40%, invest 40% and they could immediately spend 10%. Now the were pretty little. Our daughter was only 6 or 8 and losing her baby teeth. Well one night the tooth fairy came to visit and the next morning she gave half her tooth fairy money to her brother. We were shocked. We were scrambling to make change because it wasn't going to come out even. They made us very proud. They continued to do that for each other. And we in turn made sure we could divide it equally from that point forward.
Growing up my family always had money problems for different reasons which inspired me to pursue accounting and be on the path to manage wealth fairly young. You and your family’s story has been a huge part of that continued growth, for that I will be eternally grateful!!
I worked my way through college. What little my parents could do went to help my older sister. I continued to live with them and they paid my car insurance but I paid for school, clothes, other vehicle costs, most of my food, etc. I also continued to do chores to earn my keep. I had a job on campus during the spring and fall and a more lucrative hot, sweaty, summer job from which I saved to pay tuition and fill in the gaps for the rest of the year. I went on to grad school and continued to work and go to school. Six years for my bachelor's and four for my first master's. I did all ten years debt-free. I already valued work and I learned to value my education in a way I don't think my sister does. I got a second master's on student loans. Biggest financial mistake of my life. I wanted to get it over with because we were wanting to get married. My wife also had student loans when we got married. It crippled us financially for the first few years.
I totally agree with letting your kids know why you are doing what you're doing financially. Watching my parents be real and honest about what was happening financially helped me a) be grateful and b) be more understanding and c) made me realize the power of credit and debt.
My parents arnt on the ramsey level but my story is similar. We always had enough growing up food clothes etc but nothing new. Then when all the kids had moved out mum and dad started spending on themselves. New tv new cars. Trips and holidays. They did pretty well for themselves.
Wow ! What a great bunch ! No surprise tho. But look at this good looking, well spoken, wise, appreciative, kind, humble, confident group of loving siblings! Y’all are SO blessed ! ( I’m from New York & say “you guys”, but a move down South to NC is in my future … soooo YES !) . I never had what you have. I’ve learned to live with that & I never even mention it. But … just a reminder even tho I know you KNOW : you three are SO blessed to have each other !! Set up a w’end retreat or such soon ! Enjoy ! PS your parents raised you WELL !! Love, Liz
I would love you to have your sister back to talk about the charity work she does at Ramsey. You all mention it but would love to hear about it. Thanks great program today.
Great video! Its the values behind the decisions. Just as you all pointed out get out debt now to really enjoy later. Same principle applies to kids. Set boundaries and values now and later it will help kids be mature and responsible
This is so cool , in my opinion the one thing that might have drove the views down was the maybe perceived as overly dramatic tittle but if you all could tell us about how you found your spouses cause that is very difficult to do maybe if you went more int o your own money challenges
I'm a bit conflicted on the "pay for chores" stuff for the kids, doesn't that make them expect $ rewards for basic chores they need to do when they are adults. Isn't it better to go with "everyone has their responsibilities in this house"
Love Rachel but they need to stop this narrative of being disadvantaged. These kids are privileged to the high heavens. By the time they were adults their father was rich
I believe that is a system where a parent matches dollar for dollar what their kids have saved for their first car. I don't know whether Dave and Sharon did this or not but they may have. Ken Coleman I believe did mention using that system with his kids when he was on an episode of Rachel's show.
This is 100% my family... haha. My mom spends a lot of money on lottery tickets and my dad thought saving 30k in his Air Force reserves TSP retirement account was "doing good"... The only thing saving them today is my dad's military retirement pension.
On the topic of kids' chores, is it better to give them cash or money on their debit card? My kids are 9, 10, and 15, and the oldest two have Greenlight cards which we love. Is it okay paying them through the card instead of cash?
I have a hard time with the 3 envelopes with my child because she always gets gift cards. You can split up a target card 🤷🏽♀️. I wish people would give cash. Then when she gets cash it’s from a relative that tells her she wants her to spend it all on a gift. I have to then explain how we do money and be the bad guy.
You guys don't look alike much just like my siblings. Great to see this episode I think you should've just named the video MY BROTHER and SISTER special guest. I thought with was a married couple at first
I may not be the first person to comment this but im not scrolling all the way down. The audio for this video is awful. I guess it's during the early days of the channel.
@@areyoureyesstillblue okay I didn’t mention character. Ask any man and they will tell you they rather have hair than go bald. Why you think the hair piece /wig industry is so big?

Loved this. Rachel, next time bring Mom and Dad too. Would love to see all 5 of you in a setting like this!
Agree, that would be cool
So many families could benefit from listening to this no matter where you come from on the wealth chart!
Ramsey kids: "Mom and dad we want to get "X" for Christmas"
Dave: "What your household income?"
This cracked me up 🤣🤣🤣
Act your wage, kid! Did you read Rachel Cruze's "Know Yourself..." yet? She's a genius.
😂
HAHAHA
Ha! Classic
Nice seeing the whole family together.
Yea this was cool to see
First time I have seen the Dave’s other 2 kids other than Rachel. I’ve only seen Rachel and heard of Daniel and Denise thru the show.

So, in what position do you sit and what sort of aura do you have?
It is called White Privilege.

This was sweet. I enjoyed seeing them come together and solidify that sticking to a plan has helped them feel stable through their entire lives.
LOVING this sibling meeting - great job guys! xo
It’s amazing seeing all the siblings together!
A lovely down to earth family.
aww, that's the brother that saved almost $30,000 and donated most of it.

The American thing with tax no being in the price is crazy, is it done anywhere else in the world?

When did she use the word disadvantaged in this video?

What is the "matching at 16" for their kids RC mentioned?
I believe that is a system where a parent matches dollar for dollar what their kids have saved for their first car. I don't know whether Dave and Sharon did this or not but they may have. Ken Coleman I believe did mention using that system with his kids when he was on an episode of Rachel's show.
