Cool
Kurt talking about the Thailand adventure is known as Cobra Gold in the Marine Corps. Good times!
How come yall left out the most iconic scene in the movie.
#whenyourpushedkillingsaseasyasbreathing.
When are you going to do THE definitive Green Beret movie, Operation Dumbo Drop. (Also a good one to reflect on Ray Liota being a bad ass we’ve all had for entertainment for years)
Your co-host talks more then you. Please get rid of him.
Obviously he wants he's own show.
Let him do his own shit and stop talking all over yours please.
I don’t care what anyone says, the 2008 Rambo was the absolute best as far as violence and overall badassery.
Love it. As good as Rambo 2 and 3.
This movie was on another level
Fuck Tewa h .. prime violence in that one!
Have you seen last blood? I thought it was great but it was too fast. A little slow at first but then he just straight up butchers everybody in like the last 20-30 minutes
It definitely had the violence. But as an 80s kid there is no way I'm picking it as the best.
There was some very realistic depictions of combat wounds in this film to say the least! Don't get hit by a .50 Cal is the message!
Afgan vet told me that, he seen someone cut in half by one because they refused to stay back from a convoy.
@@pauledwards9493 If only the Internet existed so you could see what a .50 actually does to a human.
@@eriklarson9137 no thanks.
@@pauledwards9493 it's pretty gross, but you're not really cut in half. Effectively you are because your spine is obliterated, but never seen an honest cut in two.
@@eriklarson9137 My grandfather operated a 50 cal in Korea, he told me plenty about what they do, and it's not too far off from Rambo.
The only thing I disliked about this film was the fact the designated snipers choice of weapon was a barratt 50cal, in the jungle, on a mission that involves a lot of hiking….
Yep. At the time this was filmed, the Barrett .50 was all the rave in movies, but it would be so impractical in a jungle setting.
@@GhostDrummer yup. Same with the hurt locker
They at least used the smaller version.
But it’s so COOL
Stallone had one of the best answers to a question leading up to the premiere of this movie. I don't remember what he was accused of they were talking about the movie being so violent and did not promoting any sort of peace and his response was war is natural peace is an accident.
I guess violence is more “natural” than peace is, it’s a part of life clearly, but war is mostly a human thing. Not many other animals have large scale conflict in that kind of way. Animals coexist in mutually beneficial relationships all the time though.
It’s not like this movie is depicting war in an accurate way or exploring the psychology like First Blood, it’s just an excuse to be as sadistic and violent as possible.
Dude ants, termites, wasps and bees all go to war and wipe out other hives or different species of said type.
Russian SF were always big on these completely ridiculous acrobatics and tactical flips and sh*t. Prob because they got like 10 rounds a year to shoot for training and had the same action flicks on repeat since 1982
This react was not only funny as f***, but also very informative, with great stories. Not taking Hollywood movies seriously is the way to go. Great vid. Thanks.
That’s why I love this channel. They drop great nuggets.
If you like this type in “Val verde broadcasting Rambo” it’s a channel I recently found that does movie commentaries and these two on there are funny as f*** and also quite informative about the movie. Worth listening to same style of humour as these guys.
I carried an M82 Barrett around an amphibious assault ship a crap ton of times during a float. It was definitely a two man job considering the numerous ladder wells I had to negotiate. Hated that fucking thing every minute I wasn't firing it.
People never truly know how heavty that weapon is. Bet you got jacked from lugging that thing around lol.
@@FRANK45CASTLEthat the thing with these shotguns 308s and lmgs godamn heavy esp with all that extended etc long add sights laser even more
First blood is probably the movie that stuck with me the most since I was a kid! Great review boy's! 🤘🏼🏴
Nothing does change.
This reaction was even better than the Contractor.
Next we'll see Rambo hip-firing two 14 inch battleship gun turrets he took from the Arizona.
Arizona had 16 inch guns.
@@kendyer8761 Not according to this wiki article: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Arizona_(BB-39)
@@kendyer8761 the Arizona was a Pennsylvania class battleship (I think) that had 14" guns. The Iowa class ships that succeeded the Pennsylvania class had 16" guns.
Love when Kurt joins the party.. the two of you create a great dynamic, you can tell you’re having an awesome time hanging out.
I want to acknowledge your accuracy on the statement about the Barrett. I carried an M82A1 and that was for the purpose of punching holes through engine blocks (as Buck Rogers points out). It came in very handy during a very sideways mission, but humping that platform even in 2 pieces was terrible especially considering ammo weight. I hated the concussion report because it'd kick up dirt and almost always give away your position on a cold bore shot
I think I remember watching an interview with John "Stryker" Meyer from MACVSOG that they used some kind of timed fuse on a claymore when they had the NVA on their 6 giving chase. seemed like he said they would put a 30 second fuse and stick it and run. love the show guys. Funny stuff.
Time fuse exists so it's very possible. Time fuse is just not very reliable. My time as an engineer we always used it as a secondary initiator to our primary.
It's on the tactical rifleman Rick lamb evolution of gear video
Hey, isn't 'Stryker' his actual middle name and "Tilt" is his call sign?
@@Twi11ig yes
It’s on jocko podcast. It was a 5 second!!! Fuse. Insane!
About time you SF lads reviewed the most realistic military film series of em all.
Kurt's the best, my favorite on BnB!
"Written by Stallone with a napkin" 🤣
I remember seeing this really obscure 37mm anti-material rifle once, wish I could remember the bloody name, it wasn't American or European, it said only a hundred or so were made (largely because I imagine they weren't practical for much) but the one thing that made me laugh was that it a bipod that in of itself weighed 15 kilos. Godzilla isn't even real.
YESSSS!!! I heard this movie has the biggest kill count of any movie.
Some of these scenes are brutal. Hard to imagine...
When I saw this in theaters I was happy just to finally see someone reload a belt fed machine gun in a movie instead of it being one long infinite belt of ammo
I've been binging these episodes. Good shit guys.
Personally I’m disappointed they went with Stallone for this franchise instead of their first choice of Danny DeVito.
Sunny fans will get it XD
That's crazy you mentioned that.... As a matter of fact I have a very similar experience..... I had just got out of Vietnam and I was hiking through Oregon when an evil sheriff approached me....... Oh God damn it I just mis- took my life for John Rambo's again.... I do that sometimes...,🤷♂️😉😁
React to 13 hours: secret soldiers of bengazhi, would be nice to know your opinion about situations like that one.
I love when Kurt makes an appearance on these, he cracks me up every time with his humor! Love these!
In tears of the sun the claymore scene, when it flicks over to the seal watching, he has a clacker with what looks like a Motorola walkie talkie antenna sticking out the top.
I enjoyed your review! I would like to suggest two movies to review. The 1989 Gene Hackman movie The Package. Gene Hackman portrays a Green Beret. The 1980 Christopher Walken movie The Dogs of War. Christopher Walken plays a mercenary who is sent on a secret reconnaissance mission to Africa and later organizes a coupe.
Awesome you're reviewing this movie....for some reason I watched it (again) this morning @ 6:00 AM! Got my day cranking.....
And by the way.....great review!
" he turned it straight he's probably missing now"fucking hilarious dude I spit my coffee out
PETA is gonna go after Buck for eating all the damn rat snakes
Thank you guys. That was a blast. "Nuh uhh!" , "Uh Huh!!"
We only used the .50 on the roofs lol I was down stairs and heard the .50 go off and then “Medic!” grabbed my bag and then “never mind” lol
The bomb that he blows with the claymore is mis-identified in the movie. It’s actually a Grand Slam bomb. 20,000 lb bomb 9,135 being made up of explosives.
I’m actually in a little bit of disbelief at how much I enjoy these clips. This is some of the funniest sh*t I have ever seen on UA-cam, or just about anywhere, for that matter. The interplay between Sean and Curt is absolutely golden. Keep it coming!
watching this guys makes my day. thanks. like i am hanging with my buddies i never had.
u guys r awesome with the breakdowns!!!! LOVE IT!
Every time I watch this movie I still get that "Ooohhhhhh" reaction at some of those kills/ scenes, for what it is it's a great one entertainment-wise. Looking forward to the reviews to come!
Blowing up the boat would be making a point telling the rest of them a don't mess with me because you're not going to win
It's over, Johnny! It's over!
Rambo 4 was actually the first Rambo movie I seen, got me to watch the others. Rambo 4 still the best imo! Rip Rambo 5 lol....
Sean,
The claymore is capable of being detonated with a non-electric blasting cap/time fuse system which can be initiated with an M81 Fuse Ignitor or a tripwire/initiator system. Our combat SOP on our ODA (1stSFG) during the 90's was to carry a Claymore in the top flap of your rucksack with a 30-second time fuse/non-electric system so that it could be pulled out for pursuit deterrent or for destroying your ruck if you had to ditch it.
The claymore could also be prepped to initiate using detcord which allowed you to daisy-chain multiple claymores together and fire them from a single initiator.
Modern claymores also have shock-tube initiation systems.
Makes sense to me! Thanks dude! DOL
The amount of fun I have watching these breakdowns, Keep it going ..
I feel like the Rambo and Rocky movies are very similar, they start out as drama's, then go to action films then revert back to dramas
Excited to watch this one just tuned in
Great stuff guys just watched this again! Keep em comming
Seen Rambo 2008 with my GF opening night, and it was absolutely violence at its best... Great Movie
You guys are awesome. I love these videos
To both of you "THANK YOU for your duty." Respect! Salute!
Can't wait for the next episode.
These are great Buck, always makes me laugh.
I'm really diggin watching these videos of you 2 talking story! Brings back so many memories from my RANGER days 81-87 #RLTW🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Kurt was hilarious in this episode lol
Hey fellas, just started watching your channel tonight. Instant subscription!! Great content great chemistry! Keep going!
Been listening to your videos, keeps my mind busy while on the road. Thank both you guys for your service from one vet to another 🤙. You should do a review on harsh times That'd be a funny review.
Super funny AND educational...great react video!
loveeeeee thissssss
10:21 that’s what was happening to the Karen people in Myanmar in real life, the rebels there adopted the Rambo slogan.”live for nothing or die for something”
Made my day!
1982- I remember being in AIT and going to watch the movie.
It is still one of my most favorite movies.
It and the Green Berets with John Wayne that set me on my path.
I'm laughing my ass off at the end of this video! great work guys!!
head space and timing .......perfect
Great video, brother! Sylvester Stallone has talked about taking Human Growth Hormone. He said that every man over 50 should take HGH, under a doctor's supervision. Again, great video, brothers!
Nah, no thanks. I just want Mitch Gaylord's body.
He was stopped in an airport, Australia I think. Carrying HGH and I think sex toys. He's been on gas since 83 maybe.
ayeee, more training stories in between B n B ( beers and breakdowns ) hahaha looks like y'all have some more funny stories to tell
I'm confused. Are you saying that doing a barrel roll in the middle of a field while shooting an AK one handed sideways isn't tactical?
Totes tactical!
Love that movie!!! You guys are hilarious!!! Great review as well !!
Best yet!
This was one of the best yet. Def do more ridiculous Stallone movies. I laughed a lot at this one
I delivered 50 cal ammo to our Scout Sniper platoon while on deployment, we made a stop in Isreal. The Ssgt of the platoon was cool enough to allow me to crack off a few rounds..what a weapon!
Best movie I ever watched.
Of all the reactions I've seen... the dialogue on a napkin is the best one I've ever heard. Spilt my drink so many times watching this. Love your work guys.
"All lives matter...NAH-UHH"
"YEAH-UHH"
"YOURE NOT GOING"
"UH-UHH!"
Just Epic
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Can’t wait for first blood review, best RAMBO.
At 19:22, I think you nailed it. After I saw this movie the first time, THAT was the scene I told folks about as I'd never seen anyone taking out dismounts with a Ma Duce in any film where it looked somewhat plausible for the effects of the rounds on people and softskin vehicles.
Omg u guys have me cracking up
FNG reviews are always better than the movie being reviewed.
Uncommon valor was one of my favorites growing up. It might be worth a reaction video.
Would love to see you do Apocalypse Now
Claymore can be used with timed detonator , often used in Vietnam by MAC V SOG
“He probably fucked him up for real” that part killed me
The way he made that whimper sound was great to. Fkn funny.
Couldn’t stop laughing and rewinding that shit back. Holy smokes. Can’t wait.
LMOA!!! You guys are fricken AWESOME!!!
thank you!
I saw the 1st Rambo movie at the post theater at Fort Lee. There were probably 500 privates watching. They were so hyped!
Hi Buck!!! I love you guys. 🥃 cheers.
Great vids
Best review EVER about this movie.
This was the funniest one 😂
You guys are awesome, pure fun! Your reviews are amazing. Always a great day when ya get a notification for a new flick review from the bro’s!!! 🤙😂👌
Beautiful beautiful work on the technical. That's actually depicting Acura damage for a twin 30 mm flak Canon or some pom poms... Bloodlust baby bring the rain
Lots of footage, real world, of .50 cals ripping haggies in half.
Man, that was hilarious!
Y’all never fail to make me lmao! Thank you. RLTW
I very much love this reaction boys lol
i saw in a mini documentary one time the Russian Spetznaz use the tactical roll, lol that would be funny to see you review !
There are 3 ways to set off a claymore that I know of. Command detonated - the clacker, Tripwire - set up as a booby trap, and I have never seen it but I was told you can use a timer.
Funniest react video I’ve ever seen. Do Den of Thieves!!!
Reviewing guns would be sick too
Re: Barrett, "In every way, f'ing no."
Completely agree. My buddy bought himself one for finishing his medical degree. Heaviest friggin' gun I've held (as a civilian). With a good optic it has to weigh 25 lbs.
it's amazing the kind of shit you can buy in America
so for the claymore questions, MACV-SOG in wietnam found out ways of making timed fuses connected to the blasting caps for when they where breaking contact from the enemy
Are you guys planning to do 13 hours? That's a good one you guys probably will like.
He burned the boat because the guy he choke slammed said he was going to report what happened. It may not have been in the version you're watching. I know there's one or two versions that have different/deleted scenes.
I think he burned the boat because the dude that he choked said he was going to report the incident
Really enjoyed your banter... the Karen kids loved this movie. Thanks guys. TBB 2011
On jocko podcast, Tilt talks about initiating claymores on a short fuse.
Loved this movie ( for what it was) Would of been tough to pull off a 80s Rambo today. Rambo saving the day was glorious to watch again. And him going home to the horse ranch was great. Should’ve stopped there.
