Our routine after pitching in a game is a mix of cold and hot. High School sophomore. As soon as he comes out (65-85 pitches) he uses his stim unit for 10 mins while in the dugout. Once we're home, he uses his ice pack on his elbow for 10 mins to reduce any swelling. Then he follows that up with a heating pad and his stim unit simultaneously for 20 mins. He is not required to use ice, but he prefers it. He is required to use heat and stim. We do other things afterwards, but it's irrelevant to the ice conversation.
