I'm so excited about this game launching. The new giant mechanic is gonna make it so much more fun to play with friends in a party. Your video is incredibly well-informed and your voice makes it x100 times better. Keep it up :)
Coming from FFXIV it’s nice to see them actually adding boss mechanics I’m excited to see how they improve on the concept in the future there’s a lot of mechanics I can think of from ffxiv that’d translate really well with this new system

This is definitely the right direction. One thing Flyff lacked were boss mechanics. The giants were very boring and not unique. This gives more depth to them. I would even like to see more mechanics. Something like having to interrupt certain casts would be amazing (though pretty hard to do since every class would need an interruption ability). It ultimately comes down to balancing, if they have mechanics that are not dogdeable or too many one hit mechanics, it would destroy the experience I think. This encourages party play, which is great. Now tanks and supports could be more relevant. But it shouldn't make solo giant farming impossible of course. I just hope that the whole game gets some bit of depth in combat aspect, personally I would love to have that 😁
This looks awesome and I really can't wait to get back into it. My only concern is that we're distinguishing the flyff versions by calling one "Flyff PC", which makes me feel that, although Flyff Universe is a multi-platform product, there will be a higher focus on the mobile aspect of it, which feels like it'll limit some design decisions in the long run. I'll still play it, on my PC, even if it's just for the nostalgia. Nothing will beat the feeling of logging onto the game, back in 2005.. but it'll be nice to come back to FlyFF after all these years.
Ideas for mechanics? DOTs, slows, disabling healing items, increase in cast time. Lasers as well as small points of mechanics could be included. It it's possible this attacks should have "walls" of red pointing to the sky at ends of attack because... well it kinda hides in ground.
I hope they fix those area damage indicators glitching below the terrain. 1st it looks broken and 2nd it would be annoying to get hit by something because that red circle was blocked by terrain and thus not even visible. Otherwise a nice addition to boss fights
I'm very excited for the release ever since I experienced the beta test. Also, this is a quality infographic well executed there. Good job! Maybe further down the road you can also create some tips and tricks, and how to's and mechanics of the game. That would be much appreciated by the new players and old players. Some giants especialy earlier giants have aoes that happeen almost instantly like the giant bang i was looking forward to showing some skill expression but it seems its mainly for the later bosses
Hey Tom! Stonehand and other stuns can be used against giants, but after a few consecutive stuns giants gain the "Shade's Blessing" buff, making them immune to crowd control for a short time.
this changes so much than before, might reconsider trying playing it but then again worried about the cash shop stuffss, the old one really turned me off

Melee Giant hunting gonna be hard or not viable at all, as a melee you need to dodge so less time to dps = more time & make a mistake dodging your dead
I actually played the Beta and it was Awesome it was really like back in the Day the Server was Full of new Player just awesome but my Question now is when will it finally come out ^^?
Can't you just jump to avoid it? I mean there's no dodge button here, it will be better if you can timely jump to avoid a certain attack or fly than moving away from the aoe
I do not like the red obvious circle that indicate an incomming dangerous attack. I would more like if the giant would give other signs that are less obvious like charging up or going slowly into a specific pose before doing a special attack. Giant Crane does this well i think, just remove the red circle, "make the charge up into the pose" a bit slower so people need to focus. Also i feel like the red circle is immersion breaking and looks cheap. Don't get me wrong, i still like the changes on giants alot (beside that red circle).
I think they should have at least some indicator of where the area of effect will hit. Otherwise you won’t know how far away to run in order to avoid the damage and other effects.
You ought to check out the dev blog on the Discord server for more information. They aren’t buffing exp rates dramatically but they are tweaking it somewhat!

Modified giants? Idiots.. Only Range can Kill Giant's. Hit and run. but for close range waste of time. Very bad server too expensive items. Money hungry
I love flyff but giant/boss hunting is kinda fckng boring coz it can only be accessable by a single or in party players only. Giant hunting could be more fun if it is accessable to everyone and the reward will go to the highest damage delt by a single/party player and that's where the competitive player starts to invest on their equipment for giant hunting. But with flyff giant/boss hunting mechanic, it's fucking boring. It lacks competition
I can vouch for community influence doing this. I’ve heard him say the proper way too, but I’ve always said “Fly-ph”. Just as languages have different dialects, even words can be pronounced different country-to-country. With that said, I really respect how passionate you are about the game. I got in mind mechanic for giant Boo : make him spread a cloud of poison/toxic that causes bleed damage to whoever is inside it.

Only Ranger Can Attack while Giants Changing there skills. Just keep the Distance.
