WOW! The Crane example 100% sums up my experience. Back in 06-08 I would train on cranes until 60 and complete my job quest, but after that, the next mobs always had awful spawns and were much harder but also far less rewarding. Inevitably, I only trained an FS RM past 60 as the piss poor leveling system would deter me from playing other classes.
This was a great video on the differences. I still remember the terrible spawn nodes and long spawn times of mobs in certain areas. It made leveling difficult if even on other person was there. Glad they fixed this in this version. Looking forward to it!

I love the idea of balancing HP and spawns, I was honestly considering passing over flyff universe because fighting for spawns SUCKED on flyff pc. Particularly because I didnt always have a support, so I just solo 1v1'd, and the people who were trying to gather large aoe clusters would nullify my ability to grind. Not to mention how salty theyd get when I would use sneaker on my dex knight to steal mobs from them XD One thing that wasn't mentioned though, the frequently skipped mobs with higher hp that you are talking about ALSO typically hit significantly harder than other mobs around that level. That's one of the reasons why they were skipped. It felt like fighting a mass of giants instead of regular masquerpets, but the exp gain was so close to the other weaker mobs that it just wasnt worth burning through food and seemingly punishing myself to fight them. Thats why I, personally, always skipped them. I'd almost rather keep the difficulty the same, but increase the exp. Double health = double xp? It will take longer to kill them, but still be worth fighting to level up on. But - I guess the improved drops is a sweet deal as well. Speaking of difficulty/reward....the reworked giants - if you are increasing the difficulty, I hope you also modify the drops to the players favor. Scaling up the difficulty and forcing them to weave in and out of power attacks just to get no greens is going to be even more frustrating than it was on flyff PC because of all of the extra attention and (skill?) it will take to beat them in flyff universe. Adding extra rewards for them (guaranteed 1 green per giant killed???...or extra penya....) will balance the difficulty/reward.
Great points! Certain monster spawns like the Zombigers and Risems will have significantly lower HP than previously, but still higher than normal. They will also provide more experience per kill than other monsters their level to compensate. Also just a note, I do not work on this game! This game is developed by Sniegu Technologies in combination with publishers Gala Labs. A lot of passion has been put into Flyff Universe's development, and with an attentive and thoughtful team I think any balance concerns will be considered as the game progresses :)
Wow that was a little uncanny when you said the cranes are the last mobs people killed. I quit that game there in 2005, got back into game in 2009 and quit there again on a diff character. I hope to make it past there but it just went from pretty grindy to insanely grindy lol
I feel like this video had a lot of moments where what we were seeing had nothing to do with what was being talked about. Like at one point the camera was panning over the bang area while Blukie was talking about spawn densities but the bang area didn’t look any more dense than flyff pc Or while talking about the Iblis dungeon the camera is just flying over to the hobo area when it could’ve been looking inside the dungeon itself Some comparison shots between pc and universe during the last segment would’ve been nice too
Lol it was all just B-roll footage to have something to look at while listening to his narration. I'm assuming he spent a lot of time on n the script and didn't want to put in 10s of hours capturing footage with more hours spent then editing into place to match each individual thing he was talking about. (I don't blame em)
Great to see this was eventually thrown out in the trash with the Coral Island expansion... Small Artrox have more max HP and attack than Ancient Mammoth while giving less EXP, with a similar drop table. And for the other monsters on Coral Island, their max HP increases much faster than their EXP which doesn't feel great either. Please Gala/WeMade, stop pushing badly designed content and let those passionate developers cook, this video clearly shows that they know what they are doing!

It's one of the many catcher collect monsters for the collector system. That one shown is called Krasec. They existed long ago but were removed, but they're being brought back in Flyff Universe. You collect materials from them to upgrade items.,
Please make it so I can just stay in the forest killing boars, err.. stay near Flarine killing Aibatts for two months straight giving myself three hours of sleep each day to go up 50 levels whilst listening to "Live to Win" giving myself Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Kudos to anyone who gets the reference 👍

TheGreatestEver/Assist Master Lee was still alive or at least he'd have finished "Legends of Roika" before his untimely passing, he could have come up with such an Epic Weapon to add to Flyff's Fanbase developed lore. At least he was able to give us the fantastic "Pudding and TheGreatestEver" saga 😊
Flyff Universe still has one massive scaling issue: Starting at around level 60, it will take roughly 1000 monster kills to gain a level. This is honestly...completely and utterly unacceptable. Especially because there's no real alternative to grinding. Especially classes that don't do well by themselves, such as ringmasters, feel like a punishment to grind on. It's just not fun.

i like how much thought they invested for low level dumbulls, which will probably contribute experience to players only during early days of the game.

Item weapon/armor greens.
TLDW: rebalanced some monsters statues and increased the spawns
Who going play this fking fame if its the same as the old flyff its 0.01% per kill after lvl 75
I am currently at level 73 and getting .04 -.05% getting .01 is unimaginable
Ahh yes scaling; just add a very high blockrate to high monsters so the problem is permanently solved.
Jester/ranger with full buffed rm and pure Dex would nullify that high block rate.
Stupid power dices.. I want Oricalcum and Moonstones back.
