Hey Crystal, loved your video - could you do more videos on using PDF files with the sawgrass 500 sublimation printer please. Thank you and happy crafting 😊
It is a good video but I tried it and used the cutting settings recommended by Siser and it cut all the way through the vinyl and carrier plastic then as I was weeding the smaller pieces would not stay on the plastic because of it not having any tackiness to it. I applied the mask and burnished it down as usual and went to remove the plastic backing which took about 10 mins because it did not want to release from the mask. After all of that I pressed it on the heat press using the 311 for 15 secs to only have it print just a part of my design to the fabric. I'm happy for those of you who can make it work but I will not attempt it again.
Hello, I have a little, what I hope is helpful information for people using the Siser Easy Subli vinyl, regarding the recommended printer for this vinyl. As a salesman's daughter, I advise that Siser recommending that this vinyl only be used with a Sawgrass printer is simply a promotion thing, usually when you see these types of promotions, it does not necessarily mean that only the Sawgrass is the only printer that you will give you good results, it is just that Sawgrass have chosen to partner with Sawgrass on this occasion. Sawgrass may, at a later date, choose to partner with a different brand of printer in the future.
You print with sublimation dye into the paper, the paper is a HTV. It's quite durable but hot during summer. If you live in a cold country it's not going to be a problem.
What is the difference between this and using 3g opaque paper?does the easy sublimation vinyl have the same feel as the opaque paper or does it go into the fabric ?Does the graphic last longer without cracking and fading?
Besides printing in other colors. Is there a way to print white on black shirts .. lol . Like the "staff" shirts or "police" in bold white letters.. how do u achieve that . Sorry . TIA
@@sebastiansanfratello1399 I wore it yesterday and washed & dried with my normal clothes today. Looks and feels the same as it did yesterday. It held up very well. I have to say that even though it is soft to touch, I could feel that I was wearing vinyl - it was heavier and hotter as the material didn't allow for air flow in that area where the image was applied. Hope this helps.
I printed this image on Siser Easy Subli. Then I cut it out with my Maker. After weeding the design, I placed the Easy Subli Mask on top of the HTV. When I peeled, the letters would not stick. It was a huge mess. I lost patience and just threw the whole hot mess away. What did I do wrong? Your video was perfect and I followed along with no problems.

I’m just curious, why is this process called sublimation when it’s just using printed heat transfer vinyl? I thought sublimation was when the dye or ink is transferred to the garment.
The dye is sublimated into the easy subli sheet. Easy subli is then heat pressed onto a cotton shirt. If you want the ink sublimated into the garment, you need to use a 100% polyester shirt, or at least a 65% poly blend.
