I just converted an Epson ET-2400 to a sublimation printer and printed on the Easy Subli without issue. I chose photo semi gloss paper and high quality for the color. No wheel marks and it turned out great.
I have a question about the Easy Subli. I just bought some over Christmas a long with a printer. Only issue is, it says there are 4 sheets in the package. There are 4 larger white ones the size of paper, then 4 smaller ones that are weird. There is nothing on the package to tell me what they are. I’ve been watching videos to see is someone will show them and explain them to those of us new at this, but no one is doing that. Help
I find that I can line up my image easier when I don't have to try to see through the backing. I can lay the EasySuli down onto the image and line it up perfectly.
I have tried easy subli multiple times and have screwed it up EVERYTIME being it's not exactly cheap stuff I gave up on trying but watching your video tonight changed my mind! I'm pulling out my easysubli and back at it tomorrow I'm SO excited now thank u for explaining everything step by step so well in ur videos!! Thank u thank u thank u!!
You're so calm, confident, creative, and great at everything do- I love watching your tutorials! But, I'm totally confused right now! When you sublimated the pattern to the lip outline, HOW did the EasySubli not get stuck to the parchment paper???
YOU ARE AMAZING!!!! I wanted to make hoodies for my grandson's hockey championship game this weekend and after watching your video I am SO PROUD to say they came out beautiful!!! You are great at teaching and explaining Thank YOU!!!!
Sorry but u got thumbs down cus u didn’t EXplain how u print it on ur Epson, n yes u can send it just like the sawgrass printer . I do it all the time. I just sold my sawgrass cus problem with registration mark, but good video. Blessings
Thank you! The tutorial in printing from Microsoft helped me have a way to print larger from Cricut without the pixalation I sometimesn had occur in other formats. I enjoy your channel!
A better tip I learned was to fold the shirt so you get LINE DOWN THE MIDDLE SO YOU KNOW WHERE THE CENTRE IS SAVES AL THE MESSING ABOUT WITH MESURING IT
Emma, I just watched your video. You explained very well. However, I have a question. You removed the cover sheet of the easy subli after you cut it, you removed the backing and then pressed the sublimation onto the easy subli. I followed your directions, but I used butcher paper because I only have waxed parchment. Welllll, the butcher paper stuck and I cannot peel it off. What did I do wrong????
This is awesome! thank you for sharing. Quick question - the basic cut image on cricut was resized to allow cut from cricut. I do not understand how it fitted to the Word image which was bigger in size.
Thank you so much for being very detail. Initially I thought the video was going to drag because its pretty long. But I was wrong, You discuss all my concerns. Thanks again. Great job! My project came out great.
Oh believe me, I agree, too long! I always strive to speed it up but don’t succeed as there are too many fine details! Thanks for watching and sharing your comments!
Im sorry to say this but you should have stated whether you could use the butcher paper in place of parchment. You cannot and I just ruined my design and my easysubli.
I’m so sorry that happened to you. I did mention and show the exact product that I use at 2:40. It is important that if you want to try and get the same results when learning to do something new, you should strive to use the same products. I’ve never tried this technique with with butcher paper so I wouldn’t have known to tell you not to use it. We all learn by trail and error, I’m sorry yours didn’t turn out.
I’m guessing that you either used the wrong brand of Parchment paper or put the EasySubli on backwards. Sorry I can’t be more helpful, it works for me.
Maybe it is because of the model of my Epson Printer, but I load ALL of my EasySubli into the cassette of my ET-16600 and they print flawlessly - no jams, no lines, just beautiful images. Maybe the fixed the issue in the later model or I just got lucky. I use Cosmo ink and then load the paper tray and I am in business. The huge tank is really nice as well. I also use a Cameo 4 plus for larger prints and the Cricut for the smaller prints. Enjoyed the video and thanks for Word trick not for the sublimation but just for documents! Thank you!
I wonder if they did make an improvement to the 16600? Possibly if you're not having issues! I've tried two different times, once with my 15000 and the other time with my 2760 and post were a hot mess.
Thanks so much for letting me know. It looks like they are out of that size, here is a link to the larger size. mycraftsource.com/11-x-16.5-sheet-of-easysubli.html/?partner=238074
Man, y'all are doing this the hard way there is no need to press the image to the subli then the subli to the shirt, Just put cut the subli put it on the shirt line your print up and press it all at once 385 60 seconds and then take off the sublimation paper when done.
Thanks for your comment, I’m happy to hear that method works for you. Unfortunately, if you don’t line it up just perfect your sublimation ink will end up on the shirt. It’s happened to me a few times so that’s why I do it this way.
You do amazing work you should really invest in a silhouette machine you can design all sorts of stuff without all this headache thank you for sharing again
It’s on my wish list this year! The majority of my viewers have an Epson printer, so I like to provide tutorials with the work arounds I have found helpful!
Yes, I did. This is a hack, an alternative way to sublimate on EasySubli. My epson messes up the print every time I've tried to print it directly. You have to take it off the carrier sheet so that you can sublimate on it.
I have used 3 types of parchment paper (all uncoated) and the easy subli has stuck to them all. I have wasted almost an entire pack of easy subli… very frustrating.
I just tried this method using an easy press 3 and it melted the easysubli to the parchment paper. Pressed for 60 sec at 385. Could it be too much pressure? Also I did not use my cricut mat, I pressed on top of a wood piece. Thank you
I had this happen to me once when I had my easysubli adhesive side up and image side down, that was an error on my part and the only thing different than I’d done before. Not sure if that was the reason but it could be.
Sometimes it works, on my 15000 and 2760 I get wheel lines and smudges. It is best used with Printers that are specifically made for Sublimation, not converted.
Do you think you could sublimate the image and then cut it in design space? I have a few designs that just have words that I want to try this method on before I use HTV.
Great question Matt. By using the parchment paper it protects the adhesive on the easysubli from activating. We don't want to over activate it or it may not adhere to the shirt correctly. We have to sublimate for 60 seconds at 400 degrees, but when we actually adhere to the shirt its much less time and temp for 15 seconds at 310 for 15 seconds.
Did you watch the full tutorial? I didn't do the typical print then cut, because my image was larger than Cricut's print than cut allows.. I printed from word and cut from Cricut, so the image wouldn't need to be censored on the mat.
🤗🤗If I could kiss you through the phone!! LoL I have the ET 15000 too, it does not like Easy Subli!! It took me a year to find you! Someone with the ET15000! Using Easy Subli. Thank you so much, you made my day and saved my business. I wasted about 15 Easy Subli last night changing settings, it still left pizza marks. You're the BEST! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Thanks for your comment, I’ve heard about 1/2 and 1/2 where some will work and some will not. I cannot get it to print nicely on either of my Epsons. I’m happy that you are able to get yours to work!
i did get it to print with epson et... I taped a plain piece of paper to the easysubli the easysubli down first then the plain paper taped on top.. it worked
Sorry, but I have to disagree about using an Epson printer. It is a misconception leading us to believe that you must use a Sawgrass printer. I use an Epson ET4700 and by turning off the high speed and changing to high quality, I get a print without lines or distortion.
I’m happy to hear that you have been successful at using your Epson. I’ve tried twice and both times with the high speed off and high quality on. Both times were a mess and ruined my EasySubli. If you look up the directions and even directly from the manufacturer it states to use a specialty sublimation printer such as a sawgrass. I’m not trying to lead anyone into any misconceptions. Only teaching what has worked for me.
I used another parchment paper with the easy subli and it was glued to the parchment paper after I sublimated it. Will this parchment paper Not stick to the easy subli and prevent from doing it?
Did you use the same parchment paper I used? I’ve never had it stick to the parchment paper so I’m not sure what happened? I’ve heard other had this problem and they either used the incorrect kind of parchment (kind with a wax coating) or their heat and pressure were too high.
Hi what setting should I put my cricut machine to cut the easysubli? Also do you have a video on how to set up a 15000 Epson printer for ink? And the settings you put the printer to print the colors as accurate as possible?
Fist of all my Epson works great just pring on the sublimation htv if you have lines on your Epson you need to clean the tips prug clean just flow the direction on the Epson screen just use regular copy payer for testing if there lines. Save you Salvamation paper I've done many things just printing on to it and it's amazing how much brighter it is April without any film on it just paid attention which one you're using on which side you're have down on your sublimation I buy and so if you cut the sublimation iron that on to your shirt first just a couple seconds it worked easier that way then you just lay you sublimation sheet with your design right on it.ive had great luck . But it you do it that way make sure you cut it. First
Thank you so much for explaining that ...I found out the hard way and put it through my epson printer 😫 Let's just say ...I WISH I KNEW BEFORE I MADE THAT MISTAKE 🤦🏼♀️...I love your channel and always look forward to new content 😊 Thank you, Margaret Brown 🥰🌹
Hello Emma, I am new to this using htv for sublimation. I was able to print one sheet nut tried again and it is not printing. The sheet is not being feed, I have seen others use epson echtank. Please advice
I wasted about 10 sheets of easy subli for one reason or another. I was told i needed the transfer sheet and didn't understand the difference. Not did i mess up trying to use the transfer sheet as the easy subli. I finally got that straight and tried using the correct easy subli and it would not feed in the printer. Alas i found s video where someone taped a piece of copy paper to the shiny side on the easy subli and tried to feed it. It worked like a champ. I did 17 prints like that in easy subli with not a single mishap. So YES it is possible to print directly. Also doing it as the young lady does works awesome. We appreciate these videos and in no way am i saying there is only 1 way to do this.
Great suggestion, I believe at the time of making this video Design Space didn’t have that option yet, or it was newer and I didn’t know how to use it back then.
For that many shirts I would not use this process! Consider paying a vendor for multiple screen prints. This process is best for one or two shirts pressed at a time.
New subbie - you can go find the PNG of your work in the design space folder on your computer- then you can use without worrying about cropping etc. and it is a perfect graphic…TFI
Are you saying you have a folder on your computer that auto saves your Design Space projects? I just triple checked my computer and there is not folder that saves my designs from Design Space.
Thank you so much for your video, most was easy to follow and I'm sure after several more watches I'll have it down. I do have one question that may have been asked all ready, if i have an actual Epson Sublimation printer will it work with the EasySubli or do I still need to use this process?
I cannot answer to parchment papers that I have not used. My guess would be to wait until it’s cool, then try and peel it off? The link to the parchment paper I used is in the description.
How did you get your cutter to cut the easysubli when there were no guide lines lines for it to read before it starts the cut?. My Maker 3 won't cut it because it cannot read the lines (that are not there).
Thank you for your video. When you cut your easysubli shiny side down matte up and then weed the excess. You are left with your cut file on the transfer paper. Is the transfer carrier paper supposed to cut with the easysubli or am i just going peel if off the carrier sheet. It doesn't seem to have the same floppy look like when you peeled yours.
When you sublimate the last step, 1. does it show on the teflon sheet? 2. Also, can you reuse the teflon sheet? I know i can't reuse the butcher. 3. Is there a reason why you use teflon over butcher? Thanks. Love your videos
I never directly use my teflon sheet. My teflon is only used to protect my press as an extra precaution. I use Parchment paper usually, and yes, sometimes you can reuse it if the image didn't transfer off onto the sheet.
I wish I had seen your video first your so right you can’t run the easy subli thru your Epson you get weird lines and just a hot mess Thanks for your tips 🙌🏼 I will try it again. 😊
Sorry, I am not sure if this is a question or statement? Press 2 of what together? I use parchment paper, I've heard you can also you a Teflon sheet but I have never tried that. I'm not sure the science behind why it doesn't ruin the adhesive side, but I've done this many, many times and it works!
@@EmmasCottage as i try to peel the asub and easysubli, the easysubli has dots in it like where ink has come off. i do have a picture of it if you’d like to see.
I did not use the Print and Cut option. In this tutorial, I explain my work around for cutting larger images. I cut the Easysubli as a basic cut, and I print with Microsoft Word.
Thank you so much for this video. Our problem is that every time we have tried this it keeps sticking to the parchment paper and won't come off. We have tried this 3 times and cannot get it to work. We have used parchment paper and not butcher paper. Can you please help? Thank you so much.
The only parchment paper I have tried is the one I used in this video, the link to it is in the description. I have never had a problem with it sticking.
You absolutely could. I don't because I do not want the sublimation layover to bleed onto the rest of the shirt, even if it was just a little, you would notice.

I keep rewinding at the 25 minute mark, which side did you place downside and which side was used to sublimate on?
Sublimate on the rough texture side. The shiny side is the adhesive that will adhere to the fabric

Unfortunately you cannot use butcher paper. The only parchment paper I have found that works is the same as the one I used in this tutorial.
my question is i have a 3xl black hoodie how big do i put the image
My sublimation paper stuck to the easy subli and removed some of the colors. Do you know why this happened? My press was at 380 for 60 seconds.
No, I’m sorry. This has never happened to me when I’ve used EasySubli
This is awesome! thank you for sharing. Quick question - the basic cut image on cricut was resized to allow cut from cricut. I do not understand how it fitted to the Word image which was bigger in size.
When I uploaded it into word I resized it with the exact dimensions as the cut. I show how to do this in the tutorial.
Does the HTVRont White Sublimation HTV work the same?
I haven’t used theirs. So I’m not sure.
Did u lay shiny side down or matte side of the all white image?
Absolutely the BEST explanation video I have came across !! THANKS so much for helping us become better crafters !

You cut the textured side. The shiny side is the carrier sheet and you don't want to cut that.
Why would you skip the cut setting for the sun paper?
I’m sorry, I’m not sure what your asking? Sun paper?

Thanks for watching Samantha! I use the iron on setting with Cricut at the default cut. But alway try a test but to be sure!
Why didn’t you just press the subli and image at the same time
Great question Matt. By using the parchment paper it protects the adhesive on the easysubli from activating. We don't want to over activate it or it may not adhere to the shirt correctly. First
Thanks for your comment, I'm happy that it has worked for you.
Why print from word?
At the time of recording this video Design Space wouldn’t print large enough. The recent software update allows printing larger.
i dont see screen clipping ugggg
I may have a different version than you do. Also this tutorial was made a few years ago, there may be updates to the software.
Do you need a pc can you use a tablet
I believe you can use a tablet, though I never have.
Don’t worry Margaret, I made that same mistake the first time I tried as well! Thanks so much for watching, and commenting!
I use offset feature to cut easy subli
Great suggestion, I believe at the time of making this video Design Space didn’t have that option yet, or it was newer and I didn’t know how to use it back then.
Oh my gosh! This is awesome. So happy I found your tutorial. I tried it and it work perfectly! so good!!!!! Thank you so much :)
You're so welcome!
what kind of parchment paper are you using.. I've tried this and it sticks to the parchment
It has to be non-waxed. The link to the kind I used is listed in the description of the video.
im sorry but this process is so long i did kinda watch it all. im sure there is easy way and faster? imagine doing 10 15 t shirts?
If you have a sawgrass I hear it works well. I’m not sure on an Epson.
Hello,
Using Signature Select Parchment and the paper stuck to the easysubli. is there a safe way to remove it with out ruining it?
I cannot answer to parchment papers that I have not used. My guess would be to wait until it’s cool, then try and peel it off? The link to the parchment paper I used is in the description.
How did you get your cutter to cut the easysubli when there were no guide lines lines for it to read before it starts the cut?.
My Maker 3 won't cut it because it cannot read the lines (that are not there).
You are referring to the print and cut feature. I cut my EasySubli as a basic cut whenever my image is larger than the Cricut constraints.
Can you sublimate with Easy Subli onto 100% cotton
Sure can! That's typically why this product was invented because you cannot sublimate directly onto 100% cotton without it washing out.
Hello! Did you print (with your Epson) on regular copy paper?
I don't use regular copy paper. I use sublimation paper. My favorite brand is StarCraft!
You do not want to cut the carrier sheet. I always peel mine off the carrier sheet.
Could you use butcher paper instead of parchment paper?
No, it will stick to the butcher paper.
When you sublimate the last step,
1. does it show on the teflon sheet?
Thanks for watching!
easysubli got stuck on the parchment paper. How do i avoid that
Be sure that you use the same brand or something similar to what I used. I've heard some brands do not work.
you -press the 2 together, how does that not mess up the sticking adhesive side then press it for the final time
Sorry, I am not sure if this is a question or statement? Press 2 of what together? I use parchment paper, I've heard you can also you a Teflon sheet but I have never tried that. I'm not sure the science behind why it doesn't ruin the adhesive side, but I've done this many, many times and it works!
Hi
Do you know if regular htv could be put on top of a bodged easy subli job to cover it plse?
I have never tried that, but my instinct says no.
i keep getting white dots on mine of the image why is that?
I’m sorry, I’m not sure what you mean?
@@EmmasCottage as i try to peel the asub and easysubli, the easysubli has dots in it like where ink has come off. i do have a picture of it if you’d like to see.
How did you get the Cricut to cut the easy subli without sensor marks?
I did not use the Print and Cut option. In this tutorial, I explain my work around for cutting larger images. I cut the Easysubli as a basic cut, and I print with Microsoft Word.
Thank you so much for this video. Our problem is that every time we have tried this it keeps sticking to the parchment paper and won't come off. We have tried this 3 times and cannot get it to work. We have used parchment paper and not butcher paper. Can you please help? Thank you so much.
I have the exact same problem. I am so frustrated!
The only parchment paper I have tried is the one I used in this video, the link to it is in the description. I have never had a problem with it sticking.
What pressure should I press for? Medium heavy?
Yes, I press medium to heavy.
Wow great video...exactly what I was looking for....how does the desgins stays on the shirtsafter several washes?
Good question! Mine have all held up well. I wash them inside out in cold water, dry on low heat.
thank you, thank you for this video. newbie, this helped so much.
Happy to help!
Hello I love your video, I'm wondering what what's the cutting setting for easy subli?
I use the same cutting settings as HTV
Great video Is the insert screenshot facility available in any Microsoft word version Thanks
I am not sure what versions it is available on. I know that you have to update your software, it was available in one of the more recent updates.
Hi what papers do you use exactly? Can you post a link or the actual names? Please
What papers are you referring to? Everything I used in this tutorial is listed in the description of the video. I hope that helps!
Where dis you purchase and what kind of ink do you have?
I purchased the EasySubli from Mycraftsource.com and I have one printer with Cosmos ink and another with Epson Sublimation Ink.
When you press the transfer to the easy subli, how much pressure do you use?
I use medium pressure.
HELLO, I LOVED YOUR TUTORIAL. WHAT ELSE CAN YOU BUY IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE FUNDS FOR SISER SUBLI?
There are other materials but they are close to the same price.
Emma, great video. Why did you use parchment paper instead of butcher? Doesn't parchment keep moisture in? still learning in NC.
You have to use parchment paper for this process, EasySubli will stick to butcher paper.
@@EmmasCottage Thank you so much for the info...makes sense now. you helped me bunches. love your video's keep 'em coming.
EMMA, What Gildan shirt do you like the best. I heard you list them but now can't find that video...was is G420 and or G460. thanks
For bleaching, I prefer the Gilden 64000 in Heather colors.
@@EmmasCottage sorry i wasn't clear - i meant for vinyl and subli. you are blessing.
@@TheJanbates for EasySubli I don’t have a preference, you could even use 100% cotton.
Hi love your channel I watch a lot of your videos! When cutting the easy subli what material do you put it under on the cricut machine?
I believe I use the same settings as HTV.
Why don’t you sublimate and press to the shirt at the same time?
You absolutely could. I don't because I do not want the sublimation layover to bleed onto the rest of the shirt, even if it was just a little, you would notice.
