Thank you Erica! It drives me nuts how all these quilting, sewing, maker channels are speeding through the projects. It makes it nearly impossible to keep up with the projects, but also makes us viewers feel inferior when we still have a ways to go on a project, and the you tuber has moved onto something else so fast. I love, love, love how real you are about things taking time. You are so inspiring and encouraging for us viewers; empowering us to go with our ideas to mix things up if a project is not going the way we expected. You make it so easy to keep up with the QAL, which I appreciate. Thank for always keeping it real, upbeat and informative. Great video!
You are so cute! Beautiful smile and love the way you encourage us. I love everything you do. You are a master quilter, cross stitcher and knitter. Thank you Erica.😊💕
Hi Erica! Your blocks are great, and thank you for liking my blocks enough to share and tag. I am looking forward to seeing your completed quilt. Happy Quilty Weekend! xx ~R
You have mastered the long arm
I love your realness, that if you don't love it and aren't enjoying it you stop and let it morph into something else. And thank you for taking time and not rushing. I'm a large family mama who is trying to start a sewing/online business and I need realness!!!😊
I’ve just gotten back into quilting, oh how I missed it! And I missed the chance to use the Nantucket Summer fabric line (can’t find it anywhere- sold out!) I was able to find a hunneybun of some of the fabrics so I’m on the hunt for an easy pattern using 1 1/2 in strips. So happy I found Erica, I really enjoy her videos and her enthusiasm.
I think this might be my favorite episode of your podcast. There are so many things that I feel inspired by and would love to make. I especially love that you explained all the ways that you are switching up the scrappy QAL quilt. Showing that empowers your viewers to experiment in similar ways and not feel like we have to be bound by pattern specifics. The May stitchy and quilt projects are darling. There is just so much joy in your projects, your craft room, and your personality - a welcome ray of sunshine when so much TV and internet news coverage is dark and depressing.
Amen to that!!! 😁
Hello, Your videos are very inspiring and real. I agree, we need to be realistic and enjoy the journey. The fast paced quilters in you tube only frustrate me as I can't keep up. I do suffer from a neurological disorder that didn't show me to be my best... But I'm sure others will agree the fast pace quilters that push out videos and quilts every week is stressful.
I love your videos, vlogs, shorts etc. Love that family is first and you include them. Keep up the fabulous work. I look forward and love all your inspiration that you share. Enjoy your day y'all
I 💕 this video…. Your doing Great with all your projects. Thanks for saying how it takes time to get some of these done…. Lol 😊
I think your quilting is beautiful
Thanks so much for the little strip piecing tutorial! I'm new to quilting, and didn't really understand how it works. I like how every time I watch one of your videos, I think to myself, "Oh! I can actually do that!" 😊
Hi, I loved this post. Thank you for being awesome with your work
Michelle
Finish the sweater, you might be surprised how it fits and looks. Love all your crafts. I really need to pick up a whole bunch of your patterns…. Soon. Lol. Love your stay. 💕❤️💕
Love your videos! 😍 The cardigan is gorgeous! I think with it being cropped, it won't look too bulky. Keep going, it will be fabulous!🤗. WOW the scrappy quilt is so pretty 🤩! Love all the colors... it's a great project especially if you strip piece and work one block at a time. Still would take me a long time to finish though. Your bag projects are always inspiring for me... I want to make one of the English paper piecing bags now. So cute!💕. Love you too... you're such a cutie 😊. Can't wait to see what you make next!🌹🌷🌻🌄☺️
I love the sweater but I feel the same as you do - I do not need to any bulk to my body so I know I would never wear it no matter now pretty it is. I have always wanted to try to knit socks so I look forward to your video tutorial. I need to get back into my knitting. Some how i need to find away to divide up my quilting, cross stitching and knitting so I can work on them all.
Love your cool sweater! Finish it and wear with pride! I think it will look fantastic on you! Bring it to hips, slim legs and booties with a cross body bag. Maybe a solid dark t shirt! It’s a statement piece! Really neat.
That cardigan is so you! SO pretty!! Maybe it will be warm enough as a jacket, then you won't feel as bulky? I think you should keep going and see how you feel when you try it on. So love seeing your projects!! So cute!! 🩷😊
Love this podcast, Erica!
I can't believe how many projects you have going on and get done 😍
I agree sewing and crafting are meant to be a slow relaxing process, not speed up!
The Scrappy Celebration quilt would also be fun with leftover Christmas fabrics.
I Realllly Like that blue quilt at the end. Great choice of fabrics.
The May quilty house is so pretty with the purple color scheme! I say finish the dreamy cardi - it looks like a cozy piece to lounge about around the house! Always enjoy the bloopers!
Awesome!!! Love, love, love your videos! Thank you for sharing!! ❤
I love how you made Jax someplace special for him to sleep during your videos!! What a character!! Love your Outtakes!!
Love your real life!!
Your quilting on the Lucky Layer Cake Quilt is so lovely! (The quilt is too!)
Erika I love this. Definitely different. I think this is something to keep.
Erica!!! That scrappy quilt is Gorgeous!!!! 💕💕💕. I do have that magazine and thought that cover was eye catching.
Love watching your card making and now quilting!
I have learned more from your videos than anyone else's. Thank you for that! I like the sweater you're making I do agree it looks bulky and from my experience when I make something I question I typically don't wear it. I have lots of sweaters in my closet that I don't wear so if you think you might not wear it then you may want to take it apart and start with a new pattern🙂 God bless you 👑✝️
❤I absolutely love the bulky cardigan just a bit longer.
Wonderful comment on how shorts makes it looks like you can throw together a quilt in minutes when really it’s a process and for many who are quilters or crafters the process is a big part of the enjoyment of crafting. It’s a wonderful outlet for me to forget about day to day things and just get lost in the joy of crafting.
What a great video, I loved everything you showed. The colors are wonderful.
Great job. Love your reality on sewing and crafting. The scrap blocks look great. I've made all of them now I have to put them together. Keep up the awesome work. ❤❤❤
Your Scrappy Celebration quilt is going to be so cute when finished.
I agree that our crafting hobbies do take time. Thanks for sharing your projects.
I like the chunky cardi. I think you should finish it. Stop at the pattern ending, but don’t bind off. You could always add more length to it, and it could become a tunic-length sweater coat!
Yay! Looking forward to the sock knitting tutorial!!!! 😁
Love your studio and all of your projects 🌸🌸
I think your sweater is absolutely beautiful. You have cold winters and I think it will look really nice on you.
So pleased your video popped up on my phone. You're so bubbly, I want to get busy and create.
Always look forward to your videos! The sweater will be cute as an open over your T-shirt type sweater…. Not meant to be buttoned but warm and bulky will be cozy! 😍
Oh I love the pink needles. I have the original color in that brand but I like the pink a lot more.
I love the sweater, I’m sure you will be adorable in it!! Thank you for your videos!
I think you need a smaller size for the sweater,.
Oh My, you are brave! I know I would not have the patience for the Tula Nova. Beautiful but….lol. Good for you!
I think it’s super cute! You should wear it! ❤
I adore it... i get where you worry about adding bulk... but don't... you are gorgeous... keep going... it's amazing and... just own it's and your amazingness.
You definitely are real and I enjoy seeing all the things you do and that sometimes you change your mind! I'm always inspired by your craft podcasts 🙂
The yarn is beautiful. I say finish it and try it on with a tee and jeans. It will be beautiful. Becky
I’m actually doing your Sew With Me 2023 in Christmas fabric….the 121/2 blocks. Enjoying them….except any "pinwheels" lol😮
Erica, I think the vest is really pretty.
Sweater is super cute!! I think it would be cute on you!!
I thought your cat was a bobblehead in the background. So cute! That last quilt is beautiful and so cute. I love it.
I so totally agree Erica! A 20second reel showing fabric to a finished quilt is just awful. Anybody who sees that for their first introduction to quilting will get a very rude awakening when the reality of the TIME it takes 😂 And thanks for the heads up about the Tula nova difficulty 😬 I still haven’t started mine but will keep that in mind when I start stitching it together. ❤
Love the quilts❤❤❤ So colorful! I know how to crochet now and maybe one day will learn how to knit. I agree! Some who make tutorials should take the time going step-by-step. It really helps when your just starting to learn and knowing the terms. That is why I am sewing a long with you on the Sew With Me 2023 😊 I get so excited to see each month what new block you come up with. It’s so easy to keep up with and motivates me to start sewing more 🧵 Thank you Erica for sharing your talent with us all 😊❤
Your new quilt is going to be just lovely!!!
Replay, yes go back and do 9 patch in those blocks😍
Super cute wip. Im not sure I would wear the sweater. I agree about wearing bulk. I can picture the scarf with a cute Jean jacket.
I just love seeing your cat in the videos. I have a sold black cat named Jax.
I love your videos!!! I think you are a great teacher and your enthusiasm gets me going on projects.
I vote to start the scarf
Ok, I hate to say but yes. Make them with the 9 patches 😊🎉
Dear, the Beetles said it best, "Give the piece a chance". 😊Once made and tried on, see how you like it. I would love to see how it works out and looks. Hugs❤
You did Great on your quilting! Of the clam shells!!! I just bought the Cutie Quilt Frame/ table top size so I can get my quilting done on a stack of projects. It comes this week. Your inspiring me with your free hand.
I don’t think you should change it! It’s going to be beautiful ❤
That May cross stitch is SO CUTE!
Your projects make me want to do more. I used to crossstitch but haven’t in years I may have to pick it up again and do the calendar months. I’m also very tempted to try to knit because the socks are just too cute and since I now know your going to be doing a video I’m tempted😊
Great video Erica! I enjoy seeing all of your projects. Though the bulky sweater would be cute, I think the shawl would be more elegant on you. I'm really loving your quilt behind you! You truly have a great eye for color matching. Very inspiring! Jax is a sweety!
Its so cute ! Definitely wear it
Thank you ❤
Beautiful keep going
Great projects
Yes continue and it will be adorable with jeans. I love bulky sweathers in the fall and winter
Continue the cardigan keeping it a bit cropped, tee shirt and jeans. Be you, I have broad shoulders and I would like to knit as well, keeping it short. Making it too long will thicken the middle and make us (you and I) with this body build, look stocky. It’s so cute!
Totally agree a bit cropped will flatter. 🥰
I really like knit collage yarns and the back story is wonderful, however I have a kit and have not made anything with it because it's bulky. That being said I think I'm going to make a throw of something of that nature maybe even a pillow or something to show off the beautiful yarn.
Hi Erica I just like to say you do a beautiful job on Cresta Ching I did it for years and I loved it and I just want to tell you do a great job 10:25 😊😊 24:15 24:15 24:17 24:18 24:18
Wished you tried it on. I think it's very pretty.
As always your projects are gorgeous!
The left over blocks from the quilt would make a matching scrappy pillow
Love all your projects !
I think the cardi looks super cute. I can imagine you out for a dog walk in a crisp winter morning wearing the bulky 😅 cardi. Will be really cool for winter and chilly 🥶 nights. Your knitted socks are also so cute…. Wish I could knit some too…. I’m really not very patient in learning new things 😅.
I love the sweater. Chunky is best. That daisy spun in is the sign. That’s so you.
So many cute projects. I especially love the quilt and the fabrics used. I would leave the patches as they are but maybe lay it out first and see what you think. Fun video!
Lovely t shirt. Totally agree..what’s the rush! Slow down and enjoy is what I say. Xx
Love your videos Erica! I am about to take a beginner quilt class and I think I am going to get the fabric that you used for the Lucky layer cake quilt. It's gorgeous!
Great video Erica! Love your Nantucket quilt !! Thanks for sharing.
I think that bulky sweater is nice but for a skinny girl. I’m not skinny. You are an inspiration
Hi Erica. I love all of your podcasts especially your quilt and cross stitch episodes ( truck of the month, house of the month). I am wondering if you would do an episode on how to size up and how to size down a quilt block?
Love your modified EPP projects! What a good idea!
Love the sweater! I hope you finish it. It’s gorgeous!
Sweater is cute and looks like a fun project. But I’m there with you with not adding bulk to my body. I love the idea of it but I probably wouldn’t wear it.
I think the sweater will look really cute on you!
Love your updates. I am with you that if I do not love the project. I will switch geers versus keep going. There are plenty of projects to work on that you love.
Re yarn: I sensed you’d wear the scarf more than the sweater.
Last night I watched your video on adding a label to a quilt-the best I’ve seen on this topic. Thanks so much!
Love the sweater!!! Finish the sweater it will look so cute with a gray t-shirt🥰
Erica I love all your tutorials! ❤️ I did the Scrappy Celebration quilt along and loved doing it! I am working on making your Lucky Layer Cake now.
I like the sweater. I would like to see it finished.
Another wonderful UA-cam Podcast! Thank you Erica! The scrappy quilt is so bright and happy, great choices with your colors. I appreciate your honesty about the process and that it's not super quick. I appreciate it being more thoughtful, and enjoyable, not rushed like what is viewed on some reels. Have a great week!
Fantastic viewing, love yr stuff x
Hi Erica I just wanted to say about your scrappy quilt so cute, before you start all over land out and show us what it looks like cause I think your way is gonna be OK too thanks so much again for your informative programs I would so love to learn how to knit those socks have a good day and I hope it stops snowing there soon
The craft to go bag pattern is awesome! I love the one I made. I used Tula Pink hexagons to make mine.
I’m about 2/3rds the way done with the May Stitchy House. I’ve loved them all, but this might be my favorite. The colors are lovely! Can’t wait for June’s house!
I’ve been waiting for your to show your Scrappy Celebration blocks. I figured that you would have them all sewn together by now but understand as much as you have going on. I still have 3 blocks to go (L & M). I can’t believe that I’m this close to finishing. Mine are not as scrappy (I used a lot of the same backgrounds in a block sometimes). I sure hope it comes out half as cute at the magazine and yours. It seems interesting also that there is no border. But I guess not a good idea since it’s so Busy! The sweater is really cute and I love the yarn, but I think I’d rip it out and do the scarf if it were me. Love all of your videos and your fun projects. Look forward to every new post!!
