They added a bit near the end. When Maria says goodbye to the nuns and the Reverend Mother (no words but we see that she's saying her last sad goodbye to them). That is not in every production and that was perfectly done and a perfect way to end the play. WOW and good job. 👏👏👏👏👏
I think he isn't supposed to be the singer in the family (this version anyway). Also the actor is a teenage boy so that probably didn't greatly help with the singing.
Curtain call for the children is, each child takes a bow or a curtsy separately. That's also unusual and nicely done. The usual is they just all parade across the stage together. Which is good too but less good. Good job, whoever planned the curtain call. ^___^
I really love it. l am Korean. l surprised how dose it made a unbelievable musical production. l saw it about 10more times but this this one more than the film the sound of music. l thank you all specially her Maria.
I enjoyed thisvery well done production! I met Julie Andrews in St.Louis in 1987 after her show at the Fox Theatre.I welcomed her to St.Louis and told her that I like people who have guts and she had guts. She shook my hand and smiled. Ms.Andrews IS One Special human being!!
I’m doing this production in March, I’m a seventh grader. The high school is doing the play but they are getting middle school students for the kids . I’m playing the role of Louisa. Any advice?
This was a pretty good musical. One thing I will say is that with the So Long Farewell reprise. It was moving a lot slower and it didn’t give me the same feel of urgency as it should have. It felt a lot slower and not like the family was trying to create a diversion to escape.
Maybe sort of. One interesting thing I did notice was the children were hugging each other in between songs, which is not very usual and does make it seem like they could be reassuring each other or something (no, not just about publicly performing for the first time). The audience at the festival would probably think it's about their father going away, instead of about the whole family trying to escape and worrying are they going to escape in time.
They did better with the song about "a lovely thing called I" than most productions do. It's still kind of a dumb song but at least the way they do it it's fun. Like Gilbert and Sullivan. That sort of thing. Instead of just stupid and nothing else.

IT ALWAYS AMAZES ME TO SEE A MUSICAL DONE BY HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS DONE SO WELL.
The costumes were beautiful.
Best High School Production of this Musical...Phenominal.....
Thanks for the comment, Shasta High students do a great job!
This was amazing for a high school production. I mean some of Von Trapps vocals were a bit iffy but altogether it was amzing
A trick : watch series at KaldroStream. I've been using it for watching all kinds of movies recently.

That's just amazing. How did a school do such a good production?
I don’t go there but Shasta H is known to be very professional

As good as Broadway--and maybe even better!

The Sound Of Music - 16 - Act 2 - SHS

Like Gilbert and Sullivan. That sort of thing.
Instead of just stupid and nothing else.
And Georg just stares at Elsa and Max like he's thinking "What is your problem?" or something. 😉
I like sound of music play
Who was playing captain von troop ?
‘Twas I
Not a fan of Vonn Trap's singing, but a good show overall
Is there no Something Good ?
That song was written for the movie and is usually not in the stage version.
Mid. Had a good amount of pisspoor acting and the singing for the majority of stuff just wasn’t it
