    "The head you pick is not the head you need". That comment pushed me to watch this entire vid. At the end, the standard model is for most, the X is for slicers and the triple diamond is for the bombers.... wow who would have guessed.

    thanks for great video, just got fit last week and Paradym X 10.5 with custom tenses av2 blue 55 reg shaft, it blew everything out of the water , speed increase, distance and consistency were really improved , just have to wait the 3 weeks for it to arrive now, be my first Callaway driver,

    I got fitted for a paradym. Was sure I needed the x, but turns out I hit the regular way better. I generate lots of spin and height so regular with a low spin shaft was way better for me. Would have never bought this combo without being fitted but hitting fairways like never before. Love the crack sound on impact as well. Great feeling driver

    Great Explanation guys ! It was through you guys I was able to get fitted and choose this driver (The middle Version) Went with a 10.5 because of the low spin and the Silver Gen 4 stiff shaft ! I’m absolutely loving it ! I’m set for the next decade !

    Dave’s point about future drivers having AI designed faces for each individual golfer was very interesting and something I had never thought of … brings custom fitting into a whole new realm (but I can only imagine how much that will cost!). Great info as always guys!👍🏻

    You don't need to lock people into certain head models based on desired ball flights. You could keep things simple and do it that way, but you could also: Turn the Triple Diamond into a high launch machine by: going with the 10.5 loft, put in a autoflex, cypher, or other high launch and spin shaft, turn up the optifit hosel loft, and put the heavier weight in the back. You could reduce the draw of the of the X by installing a counter balance shaft that is geared to keep the head from closing (like a Hzrdus Red CB shaft, or a shaft listed on the Malphy chart as one listed to help prevent/guard against a hook).
    My thoughts on fitting these drivers is to have them start by determining which of the three heads they like the look of, and feel most comfortable/confident with at address. Once that's determined then you can fit head configuration (optifit hosel setting and weight(s) setting if applicable) and shaft type/model to the type of flight desired and how they swing the club (tempo, angle of attack, kick angle, release factor, toe down/droop, etc).

    Went for a fitting today. I am a 53 year old 12 hamdicapper. 88 swing speed. Best of the three for me is the triple diamond with a Hazrdus regular shaft. Got an extra 20 yards with it over the Paradym and found it more forgiving. Easy choice. The PGA Pro fitter said he would never have put me in it when I walked in!

    Am a low launch, high spin player due to negative AoA even though swing speed average 105mph. Following extensive fitting the 💎💎💎 provided best combination of distance and dispersion. Must also mention Ventus Velocore Blue made a real difference. Never thought a trip diamond would be the best head for me but shows what a proper fitting can reveal. Played first round recently and was very surprised at the forgiveness. Was living out on the toe and most drives still very manageable. Sound and feel is amazing. Very happy but my bank balance not so much...🙈

    It appears to be a really well thought out driver.

    Have never been a Callaway driver guy. I have a very negative attack angle and the comment saying Callaway has been a go to for players like me in terms of launch angle with the driver (irons I hit very high but driver is a different story ) had my ears perk up. I’m gonna give it a try ! Swing speed is 102-105 tend to spin it around 2800-3100 but only launch around 8-9 Hopefully this can perform better for me. Taylormade and ping have been drivers that worked for me best in past. I know equipment can only do so much but it helps to have the best setup for your swing.

    Out of the two Paradym drivers I tried, the triple diamond was best for myself. My ball speed was significantly higher with it and my spin rate was in the lower to mid 2,000 range. With the regular Paradym my spin rate jumped to 3,000, about 600 revs on average and my launch angle jumped to 16 from 12.5. Definitely near 10 yard carry distance between the two for myself, I’m a single digit handicap with 105-6 mph swing speed and 155-160 ball speed. So not extremely hard swinging but above average with a 255-270 carry. Tried with the Ventus Blue and GD AD UB. Numbers with both shafts were very similar.

      @@foregolfcustom current is a few year old PXG proto in 9 degrees with Graphite Design AD TP, 45.25”. It’s been very accurate for me, the Paradym triple diamond had a lot more ball speed giving me an additional 9-10 yards of carry. Some of that most likely is it’s 1/2 inch longer shaft. I wasn’t instantly sold, tried the g430lst, tsr4, stealth 2 and Aerojet. TSR4 and Paradym triple diamond I’m going to try again. The G430 lst demo cart had no shafts that worked for me or the head really isn’t that low spinning, numbers were worse then the standard Paradym. But the cart only had stock shafts and Mitsubishi up charge shafts which I’m not a fan of at all. Was very surprised no Fujikura Ventus shafts were available and no Graphite Design shafts. Maybe the demo van when it comes in a few weeks will have other shafts then the demo carts?

    I went for a driver fitting last week and ended up with Paradym triple diamond as my choice. My Mavrik with x-stiff HZRDUS Yelllow was launching at 20 deg and 4000 rpm. After testing all the Paradym heads as well as new Ping Fst and Taylormade Stealth 2 my best results were Paradym Triple Diamond with x-stiff HZRDUS Gen Black. Launch was down around 13 - 14 deg and spin was 2100 - 2200. Gained approx 22 yrs difference from my Mavrik. Only reason I went for fitting was my spin and high ball flight was killing me in windy conditions.

    Definitely seeing the low spin numbers with the standard Paradym. I was told the face of the Paradym X is more upright for even more forgiveness. My highest swing speed numbers and distance came with the triple diamond but the regular Paradym was the most consistent.

    i'm a frustrated 70 year old Golf Tragic. My Swing Speed is 83MPH Ball speed is 125PMH carry was 170Yrds Roll to 190Yrds tempo is slow back and hit as hard as a 70 year old can swing through. Because i'm an old fart i fitted ALL 3 heads with the Callaway stock shaft "Aldila Ascent 40 R Flex". Then progressed to Hitting all three heads, and let me tell you the best for me by a country mile was the 9 Deg triple diamond set at Draw +1. i hit smack bang middle of the Track man target that often it was unbelievable. The other two heads hit all over the face "lost balls left, right and some good down the middle as well but nothing as good as the triple diamond hits! In both Length and distribution.
    NEVER believe the NORMAL narrative fitters that infer what golfers these heads are supposedly made for. every one of us is different!

    Really good review, except I would disagree that the triple diamond type of head is only for high swing speed players. I would say it is for anyone who needs to control spin and that is not necessarily a high swing speed player. There are plenty of folks with sub-100 swing speeds who spin a lot (think those who hit the ball straight but get a lot of distance-killing spinups). The TD would help them. A lot of people will like it because it will sit the most open of the three and sits flatter. OEM's make a lot of clubs much more upright and closed than they used to, to help people control slice, which is a primary miss for most. That has infected most club manufacturers - too upright and closed sitting. If one is going to test, test all three and don't go in with a preconceived notion. Again, great review. No hype or clickbait title. Good analysis.

    • @foregolfcustom
      @foregolfcustom  Рік тому

      Thanks Matthew for the feedback and you’re right it could suit a high spinner hitter and not necessarily a fast hitter but we usually go with high speeds for TD. Thanks for the feedback 👍🏻

  • @hbyrdut
    @hbyrdut Рік тому +3

    I'm kind of surprised you didn't talk about the weights in the triple diamond. There is a heavy weight which if you put at the front makes it the lowest spinning and launching or you can put the heavy weight in the back to make it more forgiving.

    • @foregolfcustom
      @foregolfcustom  Рік тому

      Good shout. However, due to the head design and carbon fiber positioning the screw in weights and their weight differences have a very negligible effect on launch and spin on that head.

    • @hbyrdut
      @hbyrdut Рік тому

      @@foregolfcustom Thanks for your reply but what are the weights for then?

    • @foregolfcustom
      @foregolfcustom  Рік тому

      They are normally to change the spin and launch but because this new head design is such a low spinning product those small weights have little or no effect when swapped over. I would imagine they will work more for swingweight adjustment over ball flight manipulation. 😉

    • @foregolfcustom
      @foregolfcustom  5 місяців тому +1

      Put the weight in the position you want to create. So if the weight is place towards the toe/fade side the club will open up through impact and the ball flight will be fade biased. Make sense? 👍🏻

    Surprised when I went for a fit,
    Current gamer is the original epic subzero 9.5 degree with an obam white shaft.
    Swing speed 122mph
    I was sure I would go into the triple diamond and the other 2 models wouldn’t get a look in. Well…. I ended up with the standard paradym with 9 degrees of loft and a Kai’li white shaft in 75x.
    I gained 4mph of ball speed over the original epic

    • @foregolfcustom
      @foregolfcustom  6 місяців тому

      If it’s the sliding weight head you can screw it amd slide it into position. In the other heads we can change the small weights in the head at the beginning of the build to alter the CG or swingweight depending on the fitting requirements.

    Callaway claim to always be saving weight and yet the movable weight you're given in the adjustable model is 9g, the same as the Epic Max LS. Same in the Triple Diamond...same weights as the Rogue Sub Zero from 5 years ago, so what gives?? The upcoming Stealth 2 will have a 19g at the back and 15g up front.

    • @foregolfcustom
      @foregolfcustom  Рік тому

      The overall chassis weight is reduced so it makes the different weight points more focused and increases MOI. The weight saving is not necessarily overall but more in specific places to create a different hit scenario.

      Hey Ram, sorry about that. The hosel is easy to understand. The two + settings are 1 degree and 2 degrees higher so the loft of the club goes higher. The - 1 setting lowers the loft from the original loft. The other setting is either N or S that keeps the face square and finally the D setting closes the face for more Draw. Just make sure the settings you want from the rings lines up with the line at the back of the head where you will see a white line. Be careful tightening the screw up. Hope that helps. 👍🏻
