Good to see someone use a 'control' club in a review, especially to test stated claims. Kudos Mark.
It's nice to hear you admit you cruise between 162 to 164 - all depending on how you feel etc... It gives the review clarity and also how efficient the driver is. One of the better reviews you have done Mark.
Would definitely like to see a comparison to the Rogue ST drivers. The Rogue ST Max LS is awesome - great feel, sound, look, forgiveness. Would love to see how the regular Paradym compares since they dropped that Max LS part of their lineup this year.
YES PLEASE!!!! The old v new test would be very interesting to see. Keep up the great work Mark.
Mark, the hack it out podcast is great! You, Lou, and Greg all add so much to the conversation. I enjoy the content, knowledge sharing, and how you all seem like such good buddies.
Thanks for listening.
Mark, Great job with this review. 2 things: First, thanks for comparing it to another driver. So many others don't do that. Second, I will say that is probably one of the best looking drivers I have ever seen. Really good looking driver.
Love the Hack it out podcast. Great hearing the three of you, as well as guests bounce off each other. I’ve seen a few clips put up on your twitter, is there anywhere at the moment where we can watch the full episodes ? Keep it up !
I love how every time mark does a driver review he always talks about how they are reinventing the game 😂.
They ALL produce incredible products. Personal preference is what it comes down to.
I love them all and wish I could play them all. I just love Golf!!!
Thank you for the review Mark.
Absolutely would enjoy the FT-3 comparison video
Great review, it's nice to see new clubs go through the paces in the hands of an experienced golfer and realize the golfers variables will now override the difference between the performance of different manufacturers. Just buy the club that feels / sounds good to you that you like to look at because the performance difference is so small it won't make a difference in lowering your scores.
Average players would do their respective scores a load of justice by working on their short game. New wedges would help more than some flashy overpriced trinket that really isn't much of an improvement over the last 3 or 4 models. At least not for the average player.
You do the best club reviews on u tube hands down. Excellent once again 👏
Hack it out podcast is a brilliant companion for in the car. So good to hear multiple perspectives on modern golf and all.manner of different issues in golf. Loads of great tips too on how to improve your game.
Thanks bruh
I also love Hack it out podcast. A lot of interesting discussions giving us an insight to how the pro / teaching pros think about the game.
Would have been nice to have seen the smash factor. That will show you if a club is slow or not
Definitely will be one to have fun at the shop with…but unless it rocks my world I’m not throwing money down. Always love the honesty of your reviews Mark! I want to see that compare to the FT driver. In fact, I think we need to see it bruh!
I am impressed !!! some1 been hitting the Gym , last time i watched your vids 2-3 yrs ago you couldn´t put a dent in a soft hat so well done for getting speed that high
Only golf channel worth watching. Thanks for many years of unbiased reviews and well thought out content.
Very kind. It is funny watching the shrills shrill isn’t it. Sad really.
@@MarkCrossfield keep doing your thing, integrity can't be bought 💪
If you only want to see 1 of the 3 new drivers. Ok then 👌. Rick Shiels has all 3 on his channel and is much less bitter.
@@GBUK83 Rick seems a nice guy but is a bit vanilla and boring to me.
Love the vid Mark! This is the best golf content anywhere.
Quick out of the blocks with this Mark 👍 interesting looking club a hint of the crown of tm drivers.
Would love to see a comparison to the Rogue max ls
Mark is the best club reviewer period. Love it mark. Very subjective and no bias.
It’s been funny watching this release. Obvs favourites and also lots of really bad data being peddled which is shocking to be fair.
@@MarkCrossfield of course, the game you live and work in is a slippery slope. I'm glad you keep it real and honest. That's all you can do and all any smart consumer can ask for. Now just make sure Coach knows that. Lol
@@MarkCrossfield obviously I was just giving ol Callaway Coach a good jab😉 haha
Really enjoyed the video Mark, you just showed like always if you want a new driver buy the previous model or 2 year old model and save money. I currently game the M6 and swing right at around 100 mph and still can’t find something that beats it
I’d love to see the Paradym vs Rogue test
Whichever test you decide on, would it be possible to add clubhead speed into the data?
Mark not sure how easy it would be to get the data but would love to compare this driver against the FT3 and first epic sub zero and compare the numbers from the toe and heels strikes as well as the middle of all 3 clubs as surely this is where manufacturers can only make improvements now
Great review as always. My go to channel
Thanks for watching
Very good and very realistic review. Thank you
looks great- could you put up the smash factor as well in these videos?
Would be great to compare to Rogue. I like the matte look of the rogue much better.
love hack it out Mark it would be great to watch on youtube as well!
Great video Mark. Looks to me compared to your other videos that your “jump” on your left leg is a bit late. Like you say, every day is different.
Would greatly appreciate if you would compare it to the rouge! That’s what I currently game and from the numbers just don’t see enough to change but will hit it if it is ever released! Thank you for your great content and honest reviews!!! Keep up the great work!
Agreed- I've been considering getting an ST Max or ST LS and would love to see if these perform better and are worth $200 more.
It would be interesting to see if another head of the same spec delivered that extra 1-2 MPH ball speed due to the inconsistencies of mass production
Mark definitely got a slow head. Rick Shields crushed the triple diamond compared to the other two Paradym models.
Great review. The only one I’ve seen so far whose compared Paradyme to another driver.
Who got his 11.00am and 11.00pm mixed up? 🤣 Naughty boy!
😂😂
Good review especially the comparison. As I am the Homer Simpson of golf buying I was seriously thinking what a prick I’ve been getting a tsr thst I love. I am advertising man’s dream. Thanks for calming it all down xxx
So pretty much the same outcome in terms of distance, ball speed, spin etc as your current driver, not a paradigm shift then, just a shiny new thing which is nice to look at.
Ft3 tour out of the centre is, still an animal of a, driver
Need to try it on one of your fast days please Mark 💪🏻
Great video. Definitely test against the standard model and the FT3. Seems that for the last few years there's not been much advance in actual performance, a couple of yards here and there compared to the previous year's model. My gut says that if I was using a Rogue or an Epic I'd stick with that rather than fork out for this. That said, if I was using an older model and had the money, I'd love to give this one a go. Love the honesty of your reviews 👍
I think driver tech is about maxed out. Especially for $600 every year or 2. Shafts aren’t given enough emphasis for performance. I’ve seen how a 4 year old driver with a properly fitted graphite design shaft will optimize performance and save you $300.
Great stuff, Mark 🤘
The Paradym reminds me of my old ERC Fusion, which I thought was a great driver. Plated it for several years. ANy chance you would compare the ERC Fusion to the Paradym? Great video. Thank you.
Good review. Would be interesting for you to hit a few on one of your faster days as well to see if there is still the same sort of difference.
On it 👍👍
Good vid as usual man..I will say that idk why these vids tend to focus on one thing from no matter the source..meaning ur speed was down but all other numbers seemed better or the same and still went further which would maybe mean its more efficient no? More centered is a good way to put it which is why I play PING drivers and woods cuz on avg it's better than most but not top end..also was shaft the same and maybe check length? Other than that like u said "tolerances"..maybe u got a dud? Another thougt, wen the "paradym" shifted last time with steel and carbon around 2012 for ping (think g20) the numbers were actually better for the g20 until the g400 came out..Meaning the new process or "tech" will take another 3 series to max out..whether by Design due to every year release and just learning new methods is the question..cheers mate great vid and sry for the essay but I think it makes sense.
What shaft were you using in the Triple Diamond? Is it a shaft you've hit well in anything else? I suspect it wasn't a shaft that fits your swing or transfers energy efficiently for your swing. Your "trusted driver" didn't have the same model/spec shaft did it? From what little I could make out with the glare on your simulator screen you were launching lower, and spinning less than what is generally considered optimal as well. What was your smash factor? Considering what you were putting in - what were you getting out as a result? Maybe for what you were putting in you got decent output.
The consistency for me personally across of center hits was insanely good . Ordered the triple diamond last week . Cracked the face on my epic sub zero or I never would have tried paradym
lol I just watched James Robinson, Peter Finch and Rick Shiels reviews none of them were as honest as you. James stated it was the driver to beat for the year lol which is why he's probably off to California for the Callaway event.
He his hitting the triple diamond only and the others hit all of them. He isn’t good enough to hit the triple diamond.
Every other review has seen increases in ball speed.
No they have not. Wow please do t be so basic.
I went to buy the new Paradym driver (standard) but tried hitting the Rouge ST Max and the Paradym and found that the Rouge was longer and straighter for me. I also saved a couple hundred dollars and Im very happy with my choice. Love the Rouge st max......
It was 1 or 2 mph slower off the face, but got better carry and overall distance than the control club. So presumably the launch and spin are more conducive to distance than the control. Unless you could tweak the control club to get lower spin and higher(?) launch the Callaway seems to be the better option. Lower spin might be harder to keep in the fairway, of course....
Awesome video Mark, would like to see the Paradym vs the Rogue drivers
On it
Yes please, I just bought the Rogue St max with the Ventus shaft 2 weeks ago because they went on sale around Christmas and now they just came out with this. I cant help but wonder if I should have waited. Although it shouldn't bother me because I love the Rogue St line.
I remember the FT-3, FT-5, FT-9 and also FT Tour all not looking radically different to the Paradym. The one which I settled on for a few years after was then the Razr Hawk Tour, which performed well on course (until the tungsten weights on the sole and back fell at some point). Given the choice now instead of the £600 for this one club, instead I'd dip into second hand rack and it should be enough for a good driver, 3 wood and maybe a couple of hybrids too.
I don’t see this unseating my Titleist TSR, based on what I’ve seen so far. Would love to see that head to head test
Keep it in the bag until it breaks! Nothing will beat the TSR this year. As long as it’s custom fit properly you have a winner
Love to see the Fusion FT3 numbers in comparison.
Enjoying the reviews, Mark. Just checked your Srixon driver video. Ball speeds with the Srixons at 165ish, but the Paradym’s carry and total yardage were roughly equivalent. That would mean the Paradym is more efficient, correct?
No it’s to to do with the low spin algorithm on quad. 👍👍 those carry numbers are over reading. It’s a know issues with quad on low spin. 👍
I would love to see the Cleveland Quad Pro Comp from the early 2000's as it is a titanium face and sole plate with a carbon upper. Interesting to test. Bet it would hold its own....
Reminds me of the razr hawk with that forged carbon as well
I love Callaway and my collection includes the FT-3, so it would be great to see how that old fella compares to the Paradym!
would love to see you put it up against the FT-3. Still using my FT-9 which replaced an FT-3 so would be an interesting comparison for me.
Great review Mark. I was told the slower your swing (up to a 105mph) your launch angle should be as high as possible to max out distance. Can you do a video regarding swing speed to launch angle
You need Angle of Attack for this info to work. 👍
Test it vs the ft5, the one I’m hoping to replace from my bag this spring
I loved the Ft 5. Still have it in my garage. Would love to see a comparison.
Testing against my current driver the 10* Diablo Tour w/habanero shaft would make my week! Lol i crush it, looks good/ feels good. A decade old.
@markcrossfield The difference is the shaft. A nice fitted shaft would probably bring those numbers right up.
No way callaway are leaving that much on the table
That much?? What are you watching.
Other UA-cam reviewers.
They have either at least (a) gained or (b) not lost any
You don’t believe in shaft optimisation do you?
@@Vlogmoviesproduction ONG you are lost. Video coming on these gains. Hope it helps.
I believe in any optimisation. You are being sold on averages which is sad to see. You deserve better.
Again I will explain (again, already have loads) why this is. Don’t worry you are not alone.
Yes, it would be a fun test.
TSR2 was significantly faster (5mph ball speed) for me than Paradym in my fitting.
Looks nice lots of shelf appeal
I got a Paradym T.D. It feels like you are hitting it 20 yards farther than other drivers, but, in reality, I lost 10 yards compared to my Mavrik. However, I am leaving it in the bag, because the shot dispersion is WAY better than anything else I have ever hit. This driver is STRAIGHT!! Maybe next year I can mess with the adjustments and get a little more distance out of it. It feels amazing, looks super cool, and has a good sound. Overall, I love it.
When BioCell+ came out, my ball exited 5 mph faster off it than the top-brand rivalry. Compared against TaylorMade SLDR, Callaway BB and Titleist 913 D2.
To me Cobra is right up there with the fastest off the tee by that experience. Hence, since then I’ve been playing Callaway BB 816 ♦️♦️ and now Mavrik Sub Zero, which has not been praised too much, but it works for me. Old salt, so my club-speed and ball speeds are down a touch, but on a slow day I am at 105 range on club speed and ball is around 155-158.
Looking really forward on your take of the new Aerojet Cobra.
When you can get your hands on the Standard could you do a comparison with the Rogue and the Mavrik? Interested in numbers but also sound, feel and forgiveness. Also as you can pick up a Mavrik for around £250 now it would be intriguing to know why someone would pay double that for the Paradym
You can pick up the Rogue ST for that now which outperforms the mavrik for sure
Mark, great as ever. Was the shafts the same in the two drivers you hit today. The non Paradym driver shaft looked to travel quicker than the Callaway club shaft. Could have been just a different shaft logo creating that effect but certainly looked quicker
Carefull, you'll trigger Mark. Look up his video's on shafts from a few years ago and you'll see that Mark is firmly in the "shafts don't matter" camp.
@@echambers1112 🤣🤣 deffo
The bottom effect reminds me of some old 80’s makeup case my grandmother had. Way to go Grandmaway!
Good stuff Mark. Sensible. Hype free.
Would nice to see the clubhead speeds, because that is what I find interesting, how efficent the driver is, and the other tests I looked there the paradym was impressive.
Also tested against other Drivers the Paradym did the highest difference between clibhead and ball. And also the distance was the furthest. Also in your test 1-2 mp/h slower but still more distance so it seems to be more efficent.
But as always it depends on the day and personal preference.
But interesting to see that in your test it not absolutely crushed it, like in a lot of other test, I think I'll still get one of these if they're out for sale.
I think Titleist has the best tolerances but they are also built to last so just a bit less hot off the face compared to TaylorMade or Callaway. I am scheduled to test the Paradym TD because my TSr3 is spinning a bit much.
totally agree - if it's a hot club, then it's probably a thin face, and it won't stand up to too many range sessions. Speaking from experience.
Great review (not arse kissing) I wasn't and still not looking to swap mine out but it would be interesting to get hold of one on a launch monitor to compare against my current driver
Do a rogue comparison please
Love it “this is not the callaway driver” then prcedes to show the callaway 😂 keep it up!
Mark: Why are you wearing a winter weight hoodie jacket indoors? Does it slow down your swing?
Would like to see a head-to-head with last years Rogue ST Max LS
Like it.
Compare against Titleist TSR2 & Ping G430? Superb review
Absolutely please do that comparison 'twixt the FT-3 and the Paradym, that would be interesting as all get out.
Mark do you release the videos from the podcast too?
I'd like to see a comparison to the Rogue and the older Fusion.
I’ll stick with my rogue ls. I like that Callaway rotates an adjustable line and more of a fixed line. I like that my head is what it is and it’s up to me. Good they kept that sound though
Redefine? It’s a Callaway FT-3/5 with a weight track on the back. 360 carbon body isn’t new. And Callaway has been using Forged Carbon since the RAZR Hawk Driver
Nice review always, I have absolutely not desire to buy an overpriced Callaway driver for minimal gains. I'll wait till the new Cobra is released and look at the Ltd driver.
I’m a bit wary of trying this as they can’t even spell paradigm correctly. Would be nice to see the direct comparison with the Callaway Roge however.
Ping G 430 has been out in Oz for a while now and is getting rave reviews, when you get a chance to test I think will get you close to 170.
weird u get those numbers seeing that the triple diamond crushes everything else on the market in ballspeeds on most other peoples channels
Did you try with both weight positions?
I would love to see if putting a little more weight in the back affects the ball speed.
Looks like a modern FT5. Which was a great fun driver back in the day.
I would like to see comparison to Rogue driver.
Hi Mark could you do a video on pressure trace through the bag, seen a video that confused me recently around “unweighting” and need your expert help to explain…. Please OB1 your my only hope 😂
I like to see you swap the weights around
Heavy weight at the back and light at the front
Interesting to see what results you’d get
Mark it would be interesting to see how the old FT-3 goes against the Paradym. I played the Fusion for years and still think it’s one of Callaways best
On it
Great driver💪
@@MarkCrossfield love to see that!
Me to bring it
FT3 was a brilliant head, played it for years. That and the TM R11 would outperform 5 year newer models.
Yes, please compare the Rogue lineup.
How often do you have to calibrate your equipment?
Id like to see triple diamond compared with the rogue st triple diamond
Mark what about Paradym triple diamond Vs epic max LS? Would love to see the difference in stats from the couple of years difference from release
On it
Yes compare rogue st. Same shaft in each.
