Thing did. All praise to Lady Lucy for making us aware of this opportunity. And an extra tree for the nice Canadian~
Hey, I just wanted to let you know that those scenes where people were talking on the mezzanine weren't just for VIP's, if you were in the right place at the right time, the actors would bring you up there where you could listen to whatever secrets or scandals were going on during that time. Also in regards to the keys yeah the actors ran out a lot which is a shame but most of the security, front of house, and bar staff also had keys. Otherwise i'm glad you had a nice time and I hope you consider going to dirty dancing and Guardians Vol.2 too
Wasn't expected some Boy Mayor Of Second Life action. Thanks for that. :)
@@pizmeyre5055 I was like “is this too niche?….bahhh whatever”
"Make all the boy slugs go BRAAAGH!" killed me.
Also, I think every event should have security specially trained to sniff out Buzz Feed "reporters."
I should make shirts that just says “not buzzfeed”
@@MoMoOBrienI’m now going to make one of these shirts
The thing about the VIP tickets is just- like that's the thing that is a turn off from this event (I couldn't go a anyway, but you know). I get it, you need to make money, that's fine. Life is expensive right now. But if you're going to have quests be big part of the event- make them accessible for the cheaper folks also please. Like running into the money block already happens in real life, it shouldn't be a factor in your game too, at least not for major things like that. At the very least plan quests that all guest can complete, or have ways for those non-VIP guests to play too! Like you could be like, well you can't go up on that balcony, but you could give a message to *npc* and they could help you complete the quest. Or have the non-VIP people work with Antony to keep his love a secret. Something to keep people engaged and not sad!
You were able to go up onto the balcony if you were invited up by a cast member to exchange the keys or hear/give secrets, while it was exclusive for the purposes of eating and dancing there weren't any purely VIP plots this event, even at the whistledown door while VIP's got a little earlier access, everyone could visit if they managed to talk to the right people at the right time.
so you have to swindle your way to the top so to speak

Momo I attended my first LARP this weekend and while I am very unprepared for combat I had a very good time and want to thank you for introducing me to immersive experiences💜💜💜💜
I’ve been larping for close to a decade and I will ALWAYS be unprepared for the combat.
oh my goodness it makes me so happy to see this!!! I also went to the Bridgerton Secret Cinema event a month or so ago and was OBSESSED - you cannot fathom how excited I was to see one of my favourite content creators had not only gone to the same event but made a video on it!! It was so fun and I absolutely treated the secret cinema like a larp (it’s the closest I’ve gotten to actually doing a larp but have always wanted to do one!) On the night I went, I ended up sitting at the queens side and fanning her during the whole opening scene, and later having to sing for her when I was in running for diamond of the evening!! It really does feel like you’re in the show, and sounds like u had an amazing time!!
So sorry just realised how much of my comment was just me gushing about the event - but wanted to say I always look forward to your videos - you’re so talented and an incredible filmmaker and storyteller! It always makes my day
This was my first proper immersive experience and as an 18th gift, my sister and I got the VIP tickets and we had a wonderful time!
The VIP tickets got you 2 drinks and 1 food item each, and access to the private bar and balcony, which we didn't really use because the story was happening elsewhere. There was a secret room in the back that we were taken to at the start of the event, and basically the VIPs were in league with Lady Whistledown, knew who she was and were there to keep her identity a secret. Aside from slight early access to the ballroom, we were also escorted arm in arm by the face characters, we got Antony and Colin and it was the greatest moment of my life.
The keys were still a major issue with the event. My sister had bought some keys from amazon so we had some from the start but it was so hard to get keys after that that we kinda gave up.
I wish this event was still going on because i would 100% go again!
This video is an 11/10 birthday gift. Nothing like reclining with some cookies and tea and watching one of my favorite online nerds
It’s my birthday tomorrow too! Birthday buddies!
Happy birthday to both of you!
“….You EXHAUST me” I’ve watched this video multiple times and it makes me CACKLE every time
Yo I subscribe like four hours ago this is a freaking blessing after I have watched every single one of your videos
🥺 Thank you. That means a lot.
Welcome to the fam new person!
make sure you’re also subbed to the second channel to max out on that sweet sweet momo content
@@bee_bch thanks I didn’t know there was one
_"Quirked up young lord with a minor component of swag busts it down stag style... is he goated with the sauce?"_
-Lady Whistledown, probably
REGENCY JONAS BROTHERS I'm dead!! You're so right though, I literally can't tell the oldest two apart to save my life.
Mylady, it is an absolutely magnificent report on the Bridgerton ball you have delivered us tonight. Thank you so very much for the stunning display. One can only hope for a chance to attend the ball oneself next season.
Yes verily. Thank you for your comment.
I completely thought I was losing my mind when I recognized Connie LMAO. So glad to see she's out here leaving her best life. I'm so jealous of this experience lol definitely going to be looking up if there's anything similar in my area
Sigh..... living
I was surprised to see her too!
Other reasons for banning cameras would be that some players want to keep their privacy. Especially since there might be extreme situations that could damage their public persona if taken out of context. Also, events might not want marketing, because they are designed for a limited amount of people and want to keep the prices low because of accesibility. Without raising prices, the demand might greatly outpace the supply, leading to possible severe backlash. Also, having someone filming adds a bunch of extra organizing, which could be intimidating. Especially since a lot of organizers feel like they are still working on the event.
Ahh! I was a Beaumont too, but from the Stags. It's so cool that you've been to a Secret Cinema event! I went to their Empire Strikes Back event a few years ago and that was incredible. Honestly, without being to some of their events I don't think I'd be as interested in LARP as I am. I'd love to see what other LARPs in the UK, you get involved in, as most of the stuff here is historical reenactment. If you're in the southeast, maybe check out Kentwell Hall! It's an Elizabethan house, and while it isn't a LARP, they encourage dressing up and learning some early modern English phrases to engage with the reenactors. The May Queen celebrations are especially cool!
EMPIRE STRIKES BACK!?! That sounds amazing.
The key thing is so interesting, my brother and sister took my mum to this event (I was out of the country at the time cry) and she also wanted to do the gambling. She asked an attendee, who actually broke character to tell her that they only did the gambling if lots of people were interested, and that particular crowd was more interested in the dancing. But now I’m wondering if they’d actually just run out of keys!
That’s odd, I haven’t seen the series, so are keys a common thing in the show? I ask because most games I’ve heard of use things like coins which are a bit easier to come by.
This is one of the very few and rare times a sponsor bit has made me laugh (I do feel a bit called out on using Sims packs to boost my serotonin intake). I did get a square meter of Scottish land gifted to me about ten years ago by my best friend. We ended up visiting the exact plot of land I 'own'. And believe me, I have taken every opportunity I can to use my official title of Lady. Hence, my university graduation certificate is in the name of "Lady....". Very official.
The timing of this video could not be more perfect. I finally started binging Bridgerton this week (on Season 2 now!) and I’m in love with it! This experience sounds amazing and I hope they do something like this in the states one day. Thank you for sharing this with us and I wish you all the best with your health and happiness Momo 😊💖
I’ve been seeing a Bridgerton ball experience from a different company that has events in LA, and other places internationally.
I know there's an bridgerton event going on right now in Chicago, but idk who its run by or for how much longer its going for.
theres one starting in san fran soon
First Ginny, now you. Hoping these sketch character ads continue to spread, they’re so funny and entertaining
Ginny is the blueprint for everything I do.
@@MoMoOBrien I think Ginny is the blueprint for what most dnd lovers do
This was next level Momo!
You seem so confident, mature, creative and funny.
“ hundreds of suitors all lined up to call me a bitch upon rejection”
I'm going to a high tea Bridgerton experience in a few weeks and this is like PERFECTLY timed! Gonna watch this before work~
Ok but your outfit will be stellar. This I know.
@@MoMoOBrien D'aww thank you! I'm putting it together now and trying to figure out how fancy I wanna go~ I will make sure to post pics!
Thank you so much for talking about accessibility♥️ as a chronically ill person, it's such a big thing to be able to see these fun things and experience them through someone else. I'd love to go larping, or go to any immersive experience. The chronic fatigue and traveling make it mostly impossible to go to most events. I feel seen now. Thank you♥️♥️
Whenever I’m editing it’s always at the fore front of my mind. The comments that keep me going are ones like this, and I always try to make my videos feel like second hand experiences for people who may never get a first. Thank you.
@@MoMoOBrien thank /you/!😂 You've managed to make me happy cry. Maybe someday I'll be able to go to something myself, but for now getting to watch you do things, and be happy and excited about them while not pretending everything is perfect and okay is such a joy. I really, really appreciate you talking about issues present and not trying to make your videos look like some perfect little paradise. It allows me to feel truly present, instead of watching a sparkly unproblematic video that seems to not be possible or achievable. Thank you.
Yeah same here I have chronic fatigue/POTs ill probably never be able to larp but I get to watch these videos!
@@kirakoraawesome hey, a fellow potsie! Nice to meet you☺️ perhaps with enough salty snacks and compression socks we will make it some day😂
@@ellinorvandentop Saaame
I love how you're slowly morphing into the next Rachel Maksy
Rachel Maksy is the one and only and has talent and style that shall never be rivalled by mere mortals.
MAN i would LOVE to go to an event like this some day. it feels like with experiences like these that mix reenactment and traditional themed parties, its kind of starting to bring larping into the mainstream, very very cool imo
I’m noticing more and more that the “immersive experiences” I’m attending, are just rebranded larps that put no responsibility on the “clients”
@@MoMoOBrien it seems a little bit as if there is a general demand for larp-esque experiences in the public. compare that to when ppl would be bullied for liking larp and other roleplaying games cuz it feels a little bit like people want experiences like these but the nerd taboo that’s hung over larp has prevented people from getting it. it’s kinda fun to see that the “taboo” is melting away or events are being rebranded cuz it means more accessibility :-]
“After spending an egregious amount of time curling my hair only for it all to fall out…”
Literally me. I feel your pain girl.
My hair does not take orders well
I fully expect /this/ to be the thing that finally gets me into Bridgerton and I can't wait
It was fun. If you’ve got the time it’s worth a watch.
G'raha is my absolute favorite characterin FF14 as well, Matt has good taste! I also love that Lady Lucy has been formally given her *clearly* destined title!
The prophecy has been fufilled
Hey Momo! I thought you'd find this cool to know, but I used this video to help me in planning running a debutante ball larp/immersive experience. I just got my first level approval 10 hours ago as of writing this, which means my experience is greenlit for running!
I've taken what you said about the keys problem into consideration and making sure favour tokens will be in high supply. I'm capping my event at 50 people to prevent an overwhelming number of attendees. All tickets are the same price so there's no financial gatekeeping going on
It certainly won't be this same level. But I'm taking a lot of the useful and ambiance vibing things you've said here to heart for my own event. I've also been encouraged by the organisation committee that if my experience (it's called The Dreamer's Ball, btw) goes well, then they'll push/support putting it up to run officially during the big cultural festival run in my state every year at the one following my event. Which makes me really nervous and excited that they have so much faith in me
Tl;dr you inspired me a lot with this video to nut out some practicalities that lead to me getting my own scaled down version of this greenlit today and I thought you'd find that cool
How'd it go?
@FelicityUwU it went alright. I definitely learned a lot as I didn't have many people attend, however it was still a fairly enjoyable night. For the small numbers I had, I should have put all the different "sections" into the one room rather than try to use different rooms and spreading out. People quite enjoyed the night though which was good to see :)
@@zen_ccg That's awesome! Glad to hear it!
"G'raha Tia, my boyfriend's boyfriend" that hits hard to everyone that's played ff14
Lady Momo sounds like Captain Amelia from treasure planet
I have been to antique stores that have buckets full of old keys, so that would be an option, if it was better explained what was needed in advance
Have you seen Austinland? It's one of my favorite movies. It's about a fictional Regency immersive experience and I feel like you would really relate to the main character having bought the copper package when you didn't have the VIP ticket.
Imma add it to the list! Thank you!
I loved Austinland!!!
That movie looks so cute! Just bought it to watch later. It's Austenland (2013) for anyone looking
May I just say how happy I am with the dark realistic Mo Mo?! I love how eloquent your speeches were on topics that showed both sides to these events. I love this TV show too 😍
I never laughed so hard in my life where you are doing your sponsor 🤣🤣🤣 I can't with you this was so out of the blue and I wasn't expecting this. 100/10 best Sponsor ad in the world from you 😆 I almost spat my drink out!
Sorry for the almost spit take ✌️✌️
@@MoMoOBrien oh I'll be fine just know I love your sense of humor and quirkiness! It makes you who you are which makes me feel included
Unexpected G'raha shoutout but absolutely accurate that he's your boyfriend's boyfriend.
I’ve just started playing and Thancred owns my heart, but I already know that damn cat man is gonna be a problem.
The emotional whiplash I had when I watched the thumbnail preview and saw G'raha Tia and then your channel name made me disassociate for a moment.
It was an absolute delight dancing down the Ton with you!!🌷🌸 That secret half rum deffo went to my head 😂 The falling on my butt clip had me laughing so much haha!!
Honestly, one of the most immersive experiences I've been to for sure and this video showed just how magical and wonderful it was with great information :D be proud of yourself pal!! 🥰🌸
I’m counting the days until our next adventure together ❤️ we gotta get to a larp!
This video was SO delightful, not LEAST of which because of the G'raha reference. Please tell your boyfriend he has very good taste.
"~I know what I'ma about~" is the WHOLE MOOD
Pausing the video to say the sponsorship skit was ✨magic✨
Thank you. It was fun to make so I’m happy people are digging it.
Almost lost it when I saw Noodlerella??? Wow, what a throwback! Love to see you thriving!
Welcome to england! Im so glad you got to be here! (Although it wouldve been better in different circumstances heh!)
Okay the sponsor skit absolutely SENT me 😂😂😂
Not gonna lie, I watched it a lot of times when I finnished it I was so proud
that's insane i thought it sounded like Connie but didn't recognize her and then realized it totally was with her handle at the end hahaha
Your editing is so amazing, next tier level! I love how I can follow but I'm never bored but it follows three different storylines, the ticket buying, the shopping/prep and the event itself. Holy cow! But I do love those tilted camera views sometimes, those are fun too!
Thank you for making LARPing accessible too. As someone who wouldn't be able to do those hikes or stand for too long, it's interesting to get a lay of the land, to realize not all LARPs are off the table for me but to have better grasp if it is right for me. I'm stuck inside the house for way too long and my list of friends dealing with my isolation is slowly decreasing. You show me a new world, possibly even new connections, and at the very least (if my confidence is still going to keep me inside) I get to use my imagination and live vicariously through your experiences. Thank you!
Thank you so much for saying all this ❤️
It pains me SO much that I will likely never be able to attend anything like this. Living in New Zealand far away means it would cost thousands and thousands to get passports, flights, accommodation and transport to North America or Europe to be around these sorts of events, even before tickets and costumes. Events just don't exist here like that. Shows don't come here, bands don't come here, movies and TV shows don't come here. We don't even have the cool stores and city districts that you do!
I really appreciate you taking the time to share these things with us Mo Mo! Too many creators get protective over this stuff and say no one should ever watch bootlegs or youtube videos and should just attend instead, without realising how insanely privileged they are to live in the same HEMISPHERE as an event or show. This is probably the closest I'm ever going to get and I love even the snippets we can see. Thank you for acknowledging that too, it's the first time I've heard it from a creator.
Petition to see Momo’s WOL.
Also the ones in the US are not this extravagant- it’s literally a photo op with some dances, three short skits, and drinks.
I respect your boyfriend, I also watched Bridgerton purely because of Final Fantasy Cat Boy 😌
I did NOT clock that that was Connie!
I don't know if you'll ever have cause to be in San Francisco during late November-December, but I highly recommend checking out the Dickens Fair. It's an indoor Dickensian England-themed event with lots of artisan shops, food, & theatre. You can go in costume but don't have to. I've gone every year except recent COVID years & I love it, it's a Christmas tradition for me
That was an amazing sponsor integration and it was super entertaining to watch.
Yea they contacted me and I was like “I got just the video”. I’m proud of how it turned out.
"Highguard hate them all" is the best off hand comment I've ever heard and could literally apply to everything in Empire

when they gave you your own name, i died of laughter lmao
Okay, that sponsorship ad was amazing. Had big Channel Awesome skit vibes to it which I'm not sure how to take, but that was a clever way to do an ad. Kudos.
Bit of a bummer about some of the stuff being gated off to you because of circumstances. That's a bummer.
I hope they iron out their shortcomings so more people can have the same experience.
Your videos are my comfort videos, I've been having a pretty stressful week so this is really exciting
I hope this helps ❤️
YES I ALSO THOUGHT THERE WERE ONLY TWO BRIDGERTON BROTHERS until like the 5th episode lmao
The fact that you watch the monster factory is while not suprising very nice.
Matts a very big McElroy brothers fan and showed it to me.
I would love (and actually fly half the world to attend) if Secret Cinema did a Moulin Rouge experience. Like everything you said I just kept thinking "that's so cool! it would be perfect for moulin rouge!"
The first few seconds of this video made me feel the urge to go get a fancier cup, which i did. 11/10 great advertisement
Lady Lucy is looking splendid.
What the met gala missed out on.
Y’all looked so cute 🥰
5:54 I'm so glad this stirred some thoughts for you! Good on you for being aware enough to view the rest of the show with the racial tensions in mind.
As they say, "Art is meant to comfort the burdened and burden the comfortable".
I am a Chinese woman who works closely with writers. I've known many well intentioned folks who have simply written diverse characters into their stories without properly exploring the perspectives of the marginalized individuals-- as if the diverse cast was just some set decor that could be ignored or taken at face value. Whenever there is intersectionality in a piece of media, the art should make these social clevages explicitly clear. It is inevitable that all societies-- real or fictional, are going to have identity-based power dynamics. Neglecting to explore those imbalances in society frames the art from the perspective of the priveledged, silencing the struggles of the marginalized. If Brigerton hadn't made the past racial dynamics of thier society clear, they would have contributed to western society's normative colonial narrative. They would have prioritized the comfort of its white audience, over the comfort of its BIPOC audience, effectively simply using race as a prop.
I got so excited when you said camden market, I’ve only ever been there like 2 or 3 times but man is that place so cool, but you’re 100% correct you do not wanna be there past sun down.
Wow! That is WAY more involved than the Queen's Ball on this side of the Pond. Which is still loads of fun, and actually just the right amount of interactive to not feel like you're missing stuff.
I kind of wish I could compare the two. Maybe one day.
I love secret cinema! Ive been to 2 events so far and they were amazing! The back to the future they did will never be forgotten and I will never be rid of the sand in my boots from Star wars!
Are they enjoyable enough to go just for the experience even if you aren't that familiar with the material it's based on?
The G'Raha Tia part got me excited
I love you Mo Mo, you seem so much more relaxed and comfortable in your videos lately and I'm very happy for you
Best sponsored add section ever!
I'm so glad I didn't skip the advertisement because that was amazing 🤣🤣🤣
Your "that's this pastel one" voice was amazing lolol
Literal chills when you described the face character starting to role play with you. LARP is everywhere. 🥺
This was such a fun video! It makes me want to look into some immersive experiences near Toronto ♥
Also, I'm so glad you put everyone's social media handles near the end because as soon as I heard Connie talk I thought it was her and it was going to bug me if you didn't put that lmao
Once my life is less chaotic I’m gonna be looking for some Canadian experiences closer to my OWN home.
Shadow casts are so cool! We should do them for more movies. I got to be in one for Hedwig and the Angry Inch at IFC and it was life changing
You nailed the makeup so hard. You look like a Bridgerton character istg
Thank you 😅 I have no idea what I’m doing in that department

I still cannot believe you found this man on Tiktok. You're too sweet together!!
The quick shot of KING BUTTS is top tier content 😂
Not me watching this as i play the sims having just bought yet another expansion pack 🤭 felt called out during the sponsor
Ok but the cottage core pack has such superiority over the others it’s EMBARRASSING for EA (except pets. That just feels like…part of the game you know?)

thank you for including subtitles in your video mo mo !!
I want more creator ads like this and Ginny D. A creator becoming exhausted with themselves trying to sell a product to themselves.
If i had to make a guess, i think the key thing might just be a way to keep crowd control or keep people from doing one activity over and over again so other people had a chance. Either where people would be more stingy with their keys and want to spread them around to try more things. (I can’t imagine someone rolling in with more than a couple keys if any at all). The characters that had keys probably only had them after they won them off the guests. Definitely could have been more clear in the instructions or they could have had extras ready to pull out if they noticed there wasn’t a lot in rotation but i think In practice it’s a pretty clever idea to keep guests roaming around and not clustered up too much.
