  • We recommend giving Orthochromatic B&W film try at least once as it produces beautifully unique results as seen in this video but don’t use a red filter… read filters as well as other color filters look amazing with panchromatic B&W film, but that is not the case with orthochromatic.     What if you shot ortho film with a flash that had a red gel on it instead of a filter?

    Did you make an exposure compensation? When you use a color filter you need to overexpose, yellow is +1 stop, red +3

    I have just taken a few shots with a blue filter what in the hell are they going to look like.

      Blue filter works with panchromatic film for emphasising mist or fog. Never used it with Ortho.
