I think Dustin is more of a boxer who just decided to do MMA. He doesn't really kick much at all, or try to evolve his style. Just fixes shorts and hair, rolls his shoulders to feint, and relies on his accuracy. He also doesn't use leg range much if at all which might contribute to him not judging gathje's range
I got Cajun people in my family that from Franklin, this fight is a tough one for my guy. This is definitely gonna be fight of the year. Justin has developed his jab and I fill like Dustin has gotten better at leg kicks
In hindsight I don’t blame him. Their first fight was so god damn brutal, cuts over their eyes while they’re poking each other in the face. Justin throwing fucking rolling thunder kicks at the end of like round 2, not to mention all the leg kicks and absolutely massive punches they both ate over the course of that fight. I can only imagine how both of them felt after their first fight because it was absolutely brutal as fuck just in terms of the damage they did to each other.
This is a great fight, I'm torn though. I love both of these guys. What worries Me is the long term damage this fight might cause to either athlete. Either way I'll be tuning in.
Dustin's ready to quit. And he deserves it. He's got a little girl and fighting just isn't as important anymore. I wish all the best for him and his family.
