I actually don’t use a brown liner because it’s harder to find cool tone shades of it. I opt for an eyebrow pencil instead! They always have cool toned shades which are also dark which means it’s super brown girl friendly!!!
And a straight nose! Mine is kinda hourglass shaped (like goes from narrow to wide to narrow to wide) and it just looks funky if I contour it lol. I just ignore make contour when I do makeup 😂
I have a wide nose (thanks to my african heritage) and I found the perfect way for my nose that definitely works! You just gotta experiment what works best for your nose and face shape because honestly our noses are already made to fit our face so often contour isn‘t needed and snatching it too much can look weird and unfitting so try to keep it more natural and balanced
I've got a really long, thin nose and traditional nose contour styles that go up the bridge and over the tip don't work at all - I've learned that for my nose shape, it's best if I only take the contour halfway up the bridge (and only that far for pics and stuff), but keep most of it above my nostrils on the sides. I usually do a > shape following my nostril & parallel to the bridge, and that works for me. Contour isn't going to make a big nose look smaller, but it can definitely enhance the existing shape and bring out the best in your features!
That's what I have. I have a tall nose and it's already thin enough, not wide. I don't want to make it look any thinner. However, the tip could be a bit more structured. I'm looking for how to contour the tip.
@@Terryterryterryterryterry contour at the very tip of your nose, and also where the natural bump of your nose is aka where the tip starts// look up button nose contour if you're confused
I just appreciate you saying “if it’s working for you obviously keep doing it.” Cause every other “don’t do this” video always thinks their way is the only right way

What I will say is that the reason noses look slimmer is because of that shadow you covered up with the concealer. That being said, it’s important to recreate the shadow with that liner(albeit higher up the nose) in order to give that illusion, otherwise, it’s just those two thin lines, and the rest of your nose is washed out!
pls try the two sided vaseline lip gloss. if you haven’t already. i wanna get it but idk if it would complement my skin tone 😭 and i loveee vaseline. also ur literally my comfort channel🫶🏼
Thank you for this!!! This is also lighter than a full face make up technique first shown as well. As someone who rarely do a full face, this works much better.
You’re too amazing at makeup, that shit was so natural looking! Wow😅it’s a nice and refreshing change from the usual nose contouring, which is usually visible and noticeable for the entire video.
This is the first time I’ve ever actually seen a good nose contour and noticed the difference it’s made, I might actually try this one, it looks amazing ❤❤
being an artist makes contour pretty easy for me lol. a lot of it, like drawing, is just finding the shapes and different planes of your face, if that makes sense lol
if you’re a beginner in makeup and want to give yourself a bit more if a button nose, i recommend getting a creamy contour and tapping it with your finger and then tapping the contour thats on your finger in the corners of your nose wherever you wanna put it.
If you have an actual like button tip to your nose, or if you have a nose where the tip is, Bulbasaur protrude off of the the ridge then that type of contour will probably work. However, if you have a flat nose, if your ridge goes straight down to your tip and there’s no protrusion or bump or bulge whatever it’s probably not going to work for you because your face doesn’t naturally make that shadow so instead of enhancing what you already have you’re actually creating something that doesn’t exist so you have to do it in a very painterly way, but even then your face is 3-D, and what you’re creating is 2d so it’s always gonna look a little bit off
I've never tried contouring my nose because I'd theorized that it wouldn't translate to real life. It was just a feeling. You confirmed that theory. I really like how you contoured your nose. Maybe I'll give it a try.
Bro I needed this. Like I'm pretty old and (I've got a nose exactly like yours) I've never known how to contour it! I never thought of using a cool toned one, (I have warm skintone) thank you. ❤
It depends on your nose shape. I prefer the first way instead of your way because the tip of my nose if high and I like the button nose appearance but I guess if your nose is a bit flatter maybe it won't be flattering 🤷
As someone with a slightly wider nose base, I never contour the bridge, as it only highlights the disparity between my narrower bridge and wider base. I’d definitely recommend skipping the bridge contour in future, if you want to achieve balance.

Yoo, I thought I was crazy for doing this
What eyebrow pencil would you recommend?
@@jason___7041 maybelline or nyx for sure!!
All in all I feel like contour only works if you already have a medium to small nose shape
You can still contour big noses, you just need a different technique.
I agree. When i look at it in person at my contoured nose it looks the same however in a few mirrors it looks like it worked but in person it didn't.

if u have a bulbous nose and it's wider at the tip then also try only contouring the tip and not the nose bridge!! It rlly helps

I’ve been doing mine the same way except with a black eyeliner and it seriously does look better and it’s much easier to do!
THANK YOU, someone had to say it 😩🙏🏾
Honestly so many people do it looks natural now
Okay this is actually smart I always thought why don't we just apply like a line
The brown eye liner is a smoothe move mama..Kudos 🎉

This is so helpful! Perfect to try for new year’s!!
Your skin is beautiful.
The previous way is also very hard to blend 💀
I wondered if wider noses could even be contoured. This is a great start.

Your pretty with and without make up

I also contour like this and can confirm people rarely notice that its contoured
Some people like the unnatural nose contour. Like in the alternative community it's really popular to do a thin nose bridge and button nose contour
being an artist makes contour pretty easy for me lol. a lot of it, like drawing, is just finding the shapes and different planes of your face, if that makes sense lol
thank you!! i wanna try this
I really needed this thank you ❤
Could you do an dark douyin/ Chinese cat like make up style? I would love to try this out and don’t know how
The look at the end and you only gave us like 2 seconds of it omg. I had to re-watch just to take that masterpiece in 😍
I honestly think a wider bridge is more striking. Just my opinion but your contour looks great!
I have always contoured my nose how you do it in the tutorial.
The final makeup look SLAYEDDDD💗💗
That's how I always do it, glad to see it works for other people as well

I’m too lazy for this, so I’ll go with my natural nose. Body positivity through laziness 😁
But I do appreciate the artistry
Girl thank you
Your energy is Amazing !! Flawless ❤
Yes yes yes . I do the same but whit an eyebrow pencil its more soft than a liner and it looks so good
I also contour my nose like this and it looks perfect! ✨
your nose is so cute!
I contour exactly the same way! It works really well for daily irl makeup!
Very helpful, thank you! I have a performance coming up & makeup is not my strong suit.

You are a nose saver
You're sooo talented dudee🤧❤️
Yess this is how I have always done this I thought I was alone

This is perfect for dry skin to!! Highly approve!
But use blotting papers with rice powder on them ( Sally’s beauty) it sets with minimal powder

I do mine the same way! Much more natural looking. The viral way only seems to work on people who already have little button noses to begin with lol
Her always using a filter😍

See I have a extremely crooked nose and I have no idea how or what do to to make it look at lest a little bit straighter

Wait a minute! You just cut it before i could get a look at that GORGEOUS final??
