Thx for the video. How well does it handle DirecTV? Seems that is would be even easier to setup if you could choose the device first then let the SofaBaton decide Bluetooth / Wi-Fi, etc so you didn't have to know which one to start with. Just my observation.
recently finished my home theater room. I needed a universal remote to use my Sony TV, Onkyo receiver Nvidia sheild, Sony Bluray and Philips hue lights. My Onkyo receiver was not in the data base (but I did get it to do some of its functions so not a deal beaker ) The Philips hue lights can only be turned on and off. There is NO dimming, No colour changing, and No scenes and you can't add then to a activity. This to me is the important reason to buy a remote like this. To be able to site down press 1 key and everything i need to turn on turns on and the light dim to watch a movie. Press the off button and everything turns off and the lights come back up. If you want a remote to turn on you tv, receiver set the right input and turn on you media without light control this is for you. But be aware you may have to learn somethings from your old remotes to get this one to work.
Based on your video I ordered it, received it and what a joke. Never did get my Sony Bravia bluetooth hooked up. Of course I realize you can no longer buy a new Logitch it was a dream to set up compared to this. I didn't even get far enough to set up my Hue lights. Amazon has allowed me to return it so it's on it's way. I hope everyone else who buys one of these has a better experince than I did.
Unfortunately, this remote is a nightmare to program. Lots of errors, particularly in my activities. Commands that work fine on a single device, barely work when it is within an activity. I wasted hours and hours trying to figure this out and deal with their support people. Poor documentation as well. And the navigation on the actual remote is a joke compared to the days of my Harmony One. Unless there is some sort of a miracle, this thing is going back to Amazon!
DONT Throw away those remotes yet, because if anything happens to the power state of any of your devices (happens routinely) the Sofabaton becomes confuse and cant run your activities, I have used the app to power devices off and t still confuses the handheld remote. This remote loses the power state of devices almost daily I spend more time reseting it than I do controlling activities or devices with it, and all Sofabaton support does is walk me through the reseting, nice device, great build quality just sucks in real life uses.
Bought it and returned it, total rubbish, managed to get a replacement battery for my Logitech Harmony Elite and that was back up and running in less than 30 minutes, don't waste your time and money on the Sofabaton it is a nightmare you'll regret, find a used Harmony Elite, you will thank me for it
This remote has been a nightmare for me to set up. It won't even recognize my Xbox One.
can you have two remotes operating the same device’s?
Can you add a verizon FIOS TV controller as an activity too?
Will it work with the popular Walmart streaming box Onn 4k pro everyone is buying now?
Is there a way to make it "homemade", personalized and cheaper.

I was gonna get one until I saw the price 😲. I nearly had a ❤️ attack
Ahahah are you poor? I’ve spent $500 for a Logitech remote.
Is this an ad?
That's way too complicated for a universal remote. There are simpler ones than that.
