Well... I gotta say, This is the best cover I've ever heard of this song. Since Dream Theater set such a high bar In musical history. The Kings Of Progressive Metal in this day and age...
Wow Peter you (and the others) knocked it out of the park on this one. You sound so good! It's almost like a time capsule going back 30 years. You really captured that time and the power of the vocals on that song. Amazing brother!
Wow, incredible cover! Peter, you sound so flawlessly going from your chest to mixed and head voice! I wish I could sound like that. However when I’m going higher I sound like a little child, very heady and nasally, even when loud
@@FreimannMusic It's pretty individual. For some it's finding the right vocal coach. For others its relentless practice. I get a lot of mileage just listening closely to the great vocalists and trying to emulate what they do. Send me a message through FB, and I can give you a couple things I've done.
Thank you! And anything I do that is even a little bit like James is a huge compliment to me. Thank you. He’s the most important vocalist in my own vocal journey.
Seen a lot of covers that (Understandeable) focus a lot on just getting through the song accurately but my kudos here is just how much attention to detail you guys put on the production side: The guitar, bass and drum sounds are pretty close to DT but specially the keyboard: most key players always have somewhat close but very obviously inaccurate sound patch, this is like you spied on Kevin to know *exactly* what patch he used just amazing.
Peter, you are not only an amazing expertise in interviews but your vocals are gorgeous and what a vibrato you have, Ok let's agree Dream Theater is the word, my favorite is everything but you should sing Anna Lee
@@peterorullian yes, you can cover any song and truthfully the first song that ever made me cry from them deeply was chosen from the astonishing James is so beautiful in all vocals on that masterpiece of an album
@@peterorullian thanks for replying man. I watch every one of your videos. I have been obsessed with Dream Theater for 12 years now, and the first album i heard was Images. I live in Mississippi, n hardly anyone round here knows about them. But in October 2019, they came to Biloxi for the DOT tour, n i got to see them. It was absolutely profound. Please keep doing what you do man. You're appreciated man, truly.
@@peterorullian during that show, when "One Last Time" came up, i sang those words out as loud as i could, n James looked right at me n did the eyebrow thing like he was impressed, like he mentioned in yalls last interview. It was surreal man.
The vocals are insane
Thank you! Appreciate the kind words!
I would gladly listen to more DT covers if you have done any?

What could you advise me to do? I study vocals for a lot of years. Maybe that’s my nature of high tenor voice, don’t know
Thank you! And just keep at it. You and me, both. I just keep trying to get better.

Ok, fucking scary how well you guys did that song. Peter, little spooky how close your voice his to James's.

Awesome, powerful voice. Your channel is awesome. There's so much awesome content. It's like a hidden gem. I want you to know it's appreciated
Thank you for saying so!
Awesome job everyone, and Peter, outstanding vocal delivery!! love the bass being up in the mix a bit more.

I enjoyed this immensely! Great work everyone! We all know how difficult DT is to cover.

The characters and the voices, yes, my opinion surely is a hard on of a vocalist, he's a heinz 57 like the best steak sauce 😋
Awesome cover! You have a powerful voice Peter!
Thank you!
Why’s mangini on the keys instead of the drums
Ahaha!
Amazing, what a great vocalist 🤟💓
Thank you!
KILLER all the covers just KILLER
Thanks, Kevin!
Fantastic!!! Each and everyone of you!!
