What if I had the art is war tune? I along with many other have been previously using it, I was wondering do I have to delete the hifi cable thing? We used hifi cable for virtual 7.1 surround with voice meter and hesuvi, i just copied his vid, idk what I should change or delete to use yours

I believe the Art Is War tune is quite different sounding but I never used it. I usually avoid universal stuff. I think you can use everything in his video BUT the EQ portion. You would replace that EQ profile with mine, or delete the EQ and add mine in wherever you do EQ. I usually don't mess with all the virtual stuff so I can't say for sure with how his is set up. Also he uses super short loudness eq (Regedit)
Thank you for all your hard work and explaining EQ to people who aren't familiar with it. I'm not at all an audio person, but found your channel after seeing some streamers talk about how much better they could hear footsteps by modifying their EQ. I've been using your dolby atmos tune from the last video you did on warzone and look forward to using a personalized one for my headset applied to dolby atmos.
I was able to follow your video and understand how to apply it to my xbox/headset and look forward to playing with it. However, I think that the average call of duty player would like a shorter standalone video for their specific console on how to achieve the desired results. Specifically, if I sent this video to my friends, I think they would ask me for a summary verses watching it themselves. Thank you again for sharing your EQ and tools!

Could you possibly give a short comment on virtual surround sound/spatial sound for FPS and story-based games?
Noticed you didn't enable spatial sound in GG. afaik a rly nice headset should do "staging" or something, like the sound scene, properly and perhaps make it easier to pick up on directional cues.
What can us plebs do?
I'm sitting on a GSP500 and been using the H6Pro EQ, as they have a very similar frequency response as to what I've read online (legit or not). Slaps for music. games and WZ. Besides GG spatial sound, I've been trying out the spatial sound on my GSX1000, but haven't yet come to the best setup.

This is a game changer..I found it helpful but I needed to raise my volume a bit as it was not louder.. but footsteps were clear as hell. Thanks bud
Thanks for this, I can tell you did a lot of hard work to get this done. Warzone is the game I play like 90% of the time and as you already know by default the sound is horrible. The only setting that helped in the past was to turn on "Loudness Equalization", but only some DACs have that option available in the Windows sound settings. Without that setting on the headphones that work great for footsteps everything else is also super loud...like when a Precision Airstrike or Mortar Strike is active its super loud and can't hear anything else. I recently installed Equalizer APO and PEACE to play around with EQ on the new Sennheiser HD 490 Pro's I picked up, so I'll definitely give this a try with that. Not sure if you have that headphone in your database yet, but if not I can always try HD 600/650/6XX and it should be close enough.
Ty for all that work and the video! I play Overwatch 2 using Maxwell (bought it after your review of it). So I hope you can get an EQ for that. Also PUBG where sounds are super important would be nice.

@@GadgetryTechOn the Squiglink I see you have a Warzone target curve. Any recommendations on how to develop a curve target for Call of Duty multiplayer (Ranked). I just got a set of Sennheiser HD 560s and sadly the best eq tool I have on the series x is Dolby atmos.
I have the maxwell do I just use Dolby atoms settings that you recommend or is there specific tuning on the app for Audeze. I know your last video like this had specific tuning for different headsets. I’m on console do just curious. Love the vids though 🤙
did you manage to figure it out? I've got the Audeze app too and set sonar all up with the preset but don't understand how to save it to my computer and copy to the Audeze app or then load it on to my headset from sonar. if you could explain how you did it id appreciate it massively.

I have astro a40 and I use your mw3 eq for astro with loudness eq from your last video. Works just fine for me. Especially with flex perk for warzone or bone conduction for mp. Will give this a try later. Thank you for your work.

i use the astro a40 mixamp settings he gave in the last video. turn off dolby on the mixamp and i also have loudness eq turned on in windows. it works great for me@@_Azraeel
I have the Astro mix amp on a flat EQ. And you have to push the button at the top so it is on the star icon. If it is on the headphone icon, the mix amp will try to give you surround sound which makes everything sound bad. Check the Astro manual, I used the headphone icon for a long time and all of the custom EQ's that I tried sounded really bad. Then I use Dolby Atmos because it has 10 bands and the Astros only have 5 bands. Good luck!!

Good question, I see different suggestions on that.. run the audezeEQ settings and leave Dolby atmos flat is what I’m thinking but I have no idea!

finally took the time today to really play with this tool and make some micro-adjustments to the generic 10-band EQ for my Turtle Beach Stealth Pros!! it was actually really fun. i appreciate you making something like this so those of us with consoles can feel the power when our headsets give us the ability to build customs ourself!

I feel like there isn't enough information in this video for people who have the astro A40 with amp. I can't hear footsteps like I used to, and I've changed my mix amp to what I believe is "FLAT" per your comment, but everything is too quiet now. Is there something I'm missing?

Bro, I love you. I have been asking for this for many years now. Be able to just open Squiglink and get a gaming config talored to my IEMs, the same way I get my general EQ from the likes of Oratory. Legend.
All cool information! But how am I going to implement this with my Astro A50x and my Turtle Beach Pro for PS5 Specifically. It feels to much niche info, i can’t unpack your information to what of this is applicable for ps5… can you help me out? :)
You need to have an eq program, just watch the universal eq settings section and copy one of those. It's only rocket science if you make it rocket science.

Unfortunately I do not have one, but I would use the universal one, then adjust the bass and treble sliders a bit to fine tune it to your liking.
I don't have the Arctis Pro, sadly, I would use the Universal one then add/remove treble or bass to your liking to see what you think. I know it's older model but I still hope one day I can measure it and officially add it to the site. Hopefully this helps

Wow, me as a total beginner when it comes to sound and eq got my xbox wireless so much better for mw3, using xbox and dolby atmos app. Cant really get it to match the dotted line. But way better than before! Thanks alot! Will do the same with my astro a50 gen 4 on pc.

So happy you do so much work on this. Artiswars audio is fantastic but now having a guide to do your own for any system pc or console is priceless I learned alot using your Squiglink it is such a great tool that you have provided, using my hd560s on it I have learned I can do very very little get closer to the wz target EQ based on a 10band over the stock EQ, which I found very interesting.

Question i just purchased the H6Pro/GSX300 combo i have been using the EQ APO with PACE, with my old headset. Would you recommend i stay with that on the new headset or go with EPOS EQ or the STEELSERIES GG software? thanks for any advise.. oh and love the content great stuff..

Fantastic video and fanctastic tuning with your customisable EQ for each headset. Been using it for a while now and it has changed my audio!!! Currently 3.1Kd warzone on ps5 and it just keeps going up with this tool.

Such a great vid! @GAGETRYTECH are we supposed to keep the EQ curves as peaking for all points on the custom sonar curve for our headset? If I do low and high shelving for the first and last frequencies it screws up the curve it seems
Try to keep it all as peaking. If you do shelves, the settings would be slightly different. This isn't perfect, but it's close

Thanks for the video! I have a steelseries arctis 7 and a PS5, so no eq or presets or anything that I can really customise via a PC. In warzone, if I use the flex perk to try and get as much out of footstep audio as I can, which audio mix would you say will give me the best results? I hear "TV" works best when combined with flex, but I'd rather hear the opinion from someone that actually understands what the eq ranges, etc. are all about and knows what they are talking about when they give a recommendation. Any info would be super helpful, thanks!

WOW so I used your EQ for my SteelSeries nova 7s and my god THANK YOU! I was literally on the verge of buying a new headset because I just couldn’t find the right EQ but now it sounds amazing! Also for anyone who has the nova 7s, try them with Spatial Audio OFF, I found it to be making the bass very muddy! Thank you again man 😊

@@chriselias2841 just using sonor, try adjusting the bass too if you can. I love the features of my nova 7 but they could be better. I actually did go ahead and order the H6pros to try them out.

Amazing video! thanks for all the work and details. Have you tried enabling Windows sound enhancements? (enabling the equalizer and moving the bar all the way to the left/short?). This seems to make a great difference, combined with the flex perk it great. But it does sounds noisy when there is a lot going on around you..
I wanted to get your feedback on this, and also if I can combine both methods? meaning your edits but also keep the Windows sound enhancements (equalizer) on?

I'm supposed to get an M50x and some other Audio-Technica products at some point really soon. For now I would try the universal tune, then adjust the bass and treble curve to your liking if you can

hey man, I appreciate the information as usual. if I have the maxwells for Xbox, should I be running an EQ for Dolby and Maxwell app or put Dolby to game preset and use the Maxwell app for the EQ?

your work is really appreciated, man. but I'm still struggling with the audio in WZ3. it's really hard for me to hear footsteps and the game is soooo noisy! I'm using the Razer BlackShark V2 + usb sound card, and I use its app (synapse) to play with the EQ but I still can't find the proper EQ. any advice to help me out? and should I use THX spatial audio or the stereo option?

Appreciate the video and hard work brother. Kind of sad game developers can't create decent audio mixes themselves but at least it gives guys like you an opportunity to connect with and improve the lives of others in the community. Any plans on creating an EQ for Escape from Tarkov?

Amazing video. Thanks for the hard work. There's definitely something for my in ear headphone. I do hope we could see Logitech G435 up there. Funnily enough I prefer over using the G Pro X. More comfortable and the sound is also good.
