Absolutely first rate... That's the first video I've watched where someone has taken the time to do it, what I'd consider, properly... Sometimes you just HAVE to spend 15 minutes undoing trim for one minute of wire routing and a couple of cable ties... Kudos.

Thanks for the comment, yes it can take a bit of extra time to get that cable through but usually results in a much tidier job.

Thanks alot for taking the time to do the video !
So much work have been done .. To much for me !
On my C4 coupe , i just took 12v from the White reversing light ( soldering + where 12v is coming ) like this , the camera is only turned on when i switch to reverse , not the hole time ;)
As for the connexion between front and back ; i use emetor and receptor then I dont have to strip half the interior !
Ill do the same for my new Berlingo . And now i know where to pass the cable in the tailgate !

Great amount of work and a great tutorial. I just wonder.
Is there any reason why the camera wiring wasn't going thru the roof trim??????
(I ask because before I found this video I was already done with the cable. And I did it thru the roof trim away from airbag curtains ... )

Hi I just bought a jvc unit with this camera. Is there any way to get the power from the camera to reverse light or is that too little power output?

Hello Again ! Got the trim tools you advised and happy to report I managed to get my interior tailgate trim panel off intact - not easy, but did it , hurray 😅
I wonder whether you would be able to answer another question for me please ?
At 12.28 you are removing the screw at the bottom of the rear trim column.
I know that this is a torx t20 screw head, and I have found the right driver and removed it,
But I would like to replace the screw with a slightly longer one , just another half inch or so, as I want to add a small D-ring attachment point there. However, I have no idea what type of screw I need. I’m not bothered if it’s torx, flat or Phillips - I just need it to fit properly in the hole. Are you able to advise me please ? Many thanks, Diane xxx

      Hi Diane
I would say if you go to a hardware store armed with that screw they should be able to provide something longer to suit. Not sure off the top of my head what dimensions that screw is, i just have a big box of screws, nuts/bolts and clips built up from stripping old cars over the years it usually has the thing for wee jobs like that. A scrapyard might be worth a peruse but its knowing where to find the longer screw on a car. The hardware stores will have them better organised.

Oh ideal, thank you. Do I also need one of those plastic ‘removal tool sets’ of 4 or more assorted shaped plastic double ended lever things? Or are the trim removal pliers alone enough? It seems to be all you are using, but you look like an expert and I am definitely a novice. Plus I’m a bit worried about scratching everything up with metal. Thanks for replying so quick x

I would recommend getting a set of those various shaped pry tools (plastic pry tools is the best search term) they are great around any plastic parts you dont want to damage when removing, if you use a screwdriver it will damage the plastic.

Incidentally, pls can you tell me what that narrow long nosed tool is you are using to prise off the interior tailgate panel? I need to buy something for the job - any advice would be most welcome xxx

      Hi there Diane
      They are called trim removal pliers, that term will give you plenty of choices something like this;
      www.amazon.co.uk/Silverline-927687-Trim-Removal-Pliers/dp/B005DQ7ZEU
Highly recommend a set, very handy for a wide variety of jobs around cars.

Congratulations for all the work very well detailed. Have you tried to see if it is possible to install the oem camera in the afermarket 2din?

I think any camera with a component video output will work on this headunit. However i could not find an OEM camera for the back of the B9 multispace. Perhaps the very last of the B9 berlingos that used the SMEG infotainment system had a camera but from my experience of the Peugeot 508 with a SMEG system the camera used was not particularly good resolution, this kenwood one is not HD either but seems perfectly clear for this purpose.

Hi, sorry about this but i dont actually know.
Have a look through the diagrams on catcar.info and look up the part number for the speakers it may help find out what size they are.

No one was standing with a stop watch, my own car/van i allowed myself as much time as was required.
Try videoing a job like this it can take quite a bit of time.
