    Excellent job on the upgrades and filming the action. Thanks for sharing the awesome electronics. I was thinking to go with the Furitek Scorpion 5600kv brushless system but your setup might be the better way to go. Great work ... keep em comming.

      Thank you very much mate😁
      Yes the Furitek setup would be good, motor and esc are a bit smaller than my setup but that's definitely better for keeping the weight down👌

    Nice! I just picked one of these up for my son. Tough little truck! I think I am keeping mine stock for a bit, but this will be helpful in the future

    Man you really did go all out on it and MORE to come 😝 love it mate and the shock build tutorial spot on!
    I still haven’t done any upgrades on mine and haven’t had any time to even take it out 😒
    Interested in what shell it ends up getting and what suitable wheels you find for it.
    And yeah still no upgraded diffs 🤨😔
    Cheers legend hope you’re staying cool! 🥵

      It was a stinker today hey🥵
      Shed is nice and cool luckily.
      Yeah I went a bit nuts on it but I still haven't spent as much as I did on my Teton and it's already heaps better so I'm stoked!
      I understand mate, if your working and have real life obligations unlike myself🤦 you do have to prioritise, I'm sure you'll have a ball bashing and upgrading it when you can😁
      Shell looks AWESOME I think but I've not found and wheels the same size other than Teton wheels but they are not better in my opinion, I will give then a test at some stage though.
      And I decided to get Hot Racing diff outdrives in hopes that I will not need the diffs as the plastic outdrives seem to be the weak point for most people.

      @@rccrazy That’s good to hear I hate the heat 😞
      Yeah I have seen the hot racing outdrives hope they go alright. Hope to maybe see a skate park session video with all the upgrades when you get a chance 😉😉
      Cheers mate 👍🏻

      If they are bigger in diameter than the Grom wheels I won't use them as the car would not be able to bottom out if needed.

    • @johnedwards4715
      @johnedwards4715 12 годин тому +1

      I just bought mine and put it through hell and back. I blew out the back differential but found the new upgraded differential.
      Now after seeing this I want to upgrade my entire little truck. Your truck is bad ass

    • @rccrazy
      @rccrazy  9 годин тому

      Thanks mate!
      All the parts and corresponding links are in the video description.
      The motor is discontinued but there are many options like 2440 motors and some 2445 motors may have the correct size shaft, anything above 2445 will likely have a 3.175mm shaft and you'll need to swap the pinion gear to use them.

    Good video. Nice upgrades to the little truck. I could be wrong about this, but shouldn't you go on the side of the ramp to go over it ,not under it.😂
    I chose not to resist giving you grief about that one. 😂

    Nice bro looking awesome. I need upgrades axles to. The upgraded diffs I got work great but now I break the plastic were the pins go threw. So I want to upgrade that and be all good I think. I really can’t believe you have not had diff trouble yet to be honest.

    • @rccrazy
      @rccrazy  7 місяців тому

      Thanks mate👍
      It does look awesome now and feels amazing to drive.
      Yes I have seen a few people break the axles now, mine are perfect still but I did get the HotRacing steel outdrives so I may start breaking axles soon😅
      And as for diff health I don't like saying I'm a "good driver" but there is ways to prevent some damage like diffs.
      Land jumps with little/no throttle.
      Don't do/try standing backflips.
      When crashing don't throttle just let it so it's thing.
      Not saying I won't have diff damage at some point.

    Can you do any of this with the Mojave Grom?

    • @rccrazy

      Yes absolutely👌
      Most parts are the same on all the Groms except the chassis and chassis lengths, centre shaft lengths and possibly some new features on the Mojave we don't know about yet.

    have you thought about different tire and wheels i have 1/16th bezgar tires on mine the little bigger tire really help als redcat 1/16th volcano tires work well... mine has a 4600kv motor and a 16bl30 esc and mine does great

    • @rccrazy
      @rccrazy  7 місяців тому +1

      Yes I mentioned in this video that I was looking for some different wheels.
      Only ones I found to be the same size are the Teton wheels.
      Can't go bigger with these shocks because the chassis won't be able to bottom out.

    • @RC4us
      @RC4us 7 місяців тому

      @@rccrazy idk the bezgar are a ton bigger I can't see it being a issue especially with bottoming out I run them on mine but then again I don't have a issue with the stock shocks.... but that's what your going to have to do so maybe some proper shocks so you can get the bigger tires

    • @rccrazy
      @rccrazy  7 місяців тому

      Proper shocks?
      These shocks are Yeah Racing race spec shock, they are like 10x better than stock and they have about the same travel so I don't understand what you mean.
      I don't want bigger wheels they are not needed and these shocks with this size wheel is perfect, just need to find some more wheels the same size as stock.

    • @RC4us
      @RC4us 7 місяців тому

      @@rccrazy well you said if u put bigger tires on it that it wouldn't bottom out because of your shocks. I guess to me that sounds like the shocks are not correct for the rc and ARRMA even makes a way better aluminum shock idk about yeah racing not a super popular thing here well maybe in the 1/24th world....
      and most definitely a tad bit bigger tires will give you tons of are control to where it doesn't nose dive on 2s best and really only upgrade I've needed to do besides the hobbywing brushless combo check out my skatepark bash it's a little beast and that's with stock electronics.... it doesn't take much to make these a stunting machine

    • @rccrazy
      @rccrazy  7 місяців тому +1

      @RC4us the fact that it's doing exactly what it should be doing with these shocks and the stock wheels means the setup is fine.
      I don't need more air control and its no way a lack of power causing the nose to drop it's just a nose heavy or nose dropping car no matter the set-up.
      I don't see bigger wheels as a practical change if it causes issues which in my case it will.
      Personal preferences mate😁
      Oh and Yeah Racing is a well known brands all over the world😅

    The mjx wheels fit and work great

    • @rccrazy
      @rccrazy  7 місяців тому

      If they prevent chassis bottoming out then they are not good.
      One think you want is the chassis to take the stress and main impacts not every other component.

    • @robertshelton2605
      @robertshelton2605 7 місяців тому

      @rccrazy OK. Cool. I would rather have my tires and suspension take impact over my chassis. The chassis holds all the expensive electronics.

    • @rccrazy
      @rccrazy  7 місяців тому

      @robertshelton2605 it's not a preference it's the way all proper RCs are set up specifically to restrict or limit damage of every part.
      The wheels will always get some stress but when running expensive shocks you don't want bent shafts and popped bladders so yes chassis bottoming out is VERY important!

    are those tires good? would they fit hbx 16890?

    • @rccrazy
      @rccrazy  7 місяців тому

      They are not foam filled and are a little small for 1/16 cars like the 16890.
      They are 12mm hexes though.
