I agree 100% dude, something like that happened to The Black Crowes too, I do remember seeing the strokes ( i flew to somewhere in texas to see them ) in texas with the eagles of heavy metal during First Impressions and they were already on a down slope and all of julian's lyrics were about "honey i hate your friends" kinda shit, it gives you an UNWANTED glimpse of his married life, Is This It will always be awesome, now i like him more in Boombox with Andy samberg.
His lyrics have _always_ mostly been "honey I hate your friends". lol If anything they got much more complex and sociocritical as time went on, especially on FioE, Angles and FPP.
