- Our fridges are filled with items sourced from around the globe, but rarely local farms. Erin shows how she redirected her experience solving urban problems with big data analytics to bring fresh food from local farmers to your family dinner table. Erin Baumgartner and her husband co-founded Family Dinner to apply their expertise in big data analytics to connecting produce from local farms to families. Erin spent 11 years at MIT, most recently at the Institute for Data, Systems, and Society and as the Assistant Director of the MIT Senseable City Lab. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx
I heard this in yesterday's TED podcast. Actually a similar idea came to me a few months back, and after learning what Erin has been doing I'm really glad to know that someone has been working on this. Awesome!
Exciting and Lovely work! The cow is cute. The whole process is mind-blowing!

Nice job!
This is homework and i hate it. Im the one that disliked
How could you talk about first raising a cow with love & respect and then butchering it for your delicacy!!! What exactly is wrong with the speaker! Why would you kill an animal just to satisfy your taste buds!
Absolutely! They don't understand that it's not funny.
Why would you kill a plant for your delicacy?
I love food; I eat food,
That's wrong.
