For a talk on office design she didn’t talk much about office design.

Office consolidation is a big part of office design. There are many motives for businesses wishing to consolidate their activities. These typically can include the wish to become more streamlined to achieve operating and cost efficiencies. However, in our experience there are a variety of other reasons that can come into play and also benefits to office consolidation that are not always fully appreciated.

I worked in open offices, without windows, for manys decades because it was cheap. I really enjoyed having a cubicle. Decades later it was a new fad to spend money and degrade workers and reduce productivity. Open offices greatly increased noise canceling headphones sales so people could create virtual space.

Great information. She was so nervous it was distracting while trying to learn from her talk. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the topic tremendously.

Wish she wasn't so nervous, it's hard to pay attention to her message.
