100% feel you. I build mini bikes and go karts in Dallas to sell.No one ever wants to pay what they are worth.I spend 1,000 on a build and post it and get oh I'll give ya $300 for it.I thought I would have so much fun doing what I love fabricating and creating. NOT!!!
I actually got to the point where I was telling customers to go pound sand, so to speak. Most people just don´t have capacity for a systems based approach much less a logical one. I learned to be very selective in what projects I took on, eventually rejecting many, many projects if I caught a whiff of a customer that would be difficult. After that lay down responsibilities and expectations that are clearly defined. Also, I would not take on projects that were not starting from stock setups. In the end you will find a formula that works for you, just takes a bit of time and thinking.
@@Outspokentiger I am also doing great and yes it is never enough for R1M especially with that exhaust of yours And when are you getting sorted for the remaining projects I wish could lend a hand but different time zones🤣

I totally understand where you're coming from also if they brought that bike to a dealership to dealership will tell them this same problem and I guarantee you it will wait because with the dealership they don't give to h*** about you and rushing damp of fix the bike we all make sure they get everything fixed then tell you the bike is ready another thing when ever somebody bring a bike to you make sure you started check everything before they leave I've been into situation like that before where a guy bring an R6 for me to do an oil change when he already did the oil change and put too much well in the bike so now the whole bikes. smoking I had about that bring it to the dealership for them the clean the head and a fuel system
Lmaoooo. I paint motorcycles and I get the SAME THING I tell people It takes me 7 days start to finish to do your bike... after day they call non stop everyday "are you done? How's tomorrow looking? "Like really lol..
i work in a motorcycle shop and I couldn't relate more to this video hahahaha i still cant belive this...... but yes be more selective if you see a beat up bike don't take it they will blame you for any little thing
Are you the only one in your Shop? Do you check out the bikes before you take on the job? Refer to starting a Bussiness. Ask others who have done the same. Get more people for help or friends of the same interests and skill. You may need to get a license and insurance too for protection from these people. I'm sure it's people who view this might post some words for help starting a Bike shop from hobby.
You asked some important questions but none of that is really the issue to my rant haha. My only solution in my specific case is to just not to accept the work period. This is not something I plan to do forever so it’s not that serious for me to hire a team, etc etc
@@Outspokentiger I get you. But if you get a customer and get the parts and fix this issues and they don't want to pay for your Work and Parts, then you can keep the bike then sale the fixed bike for profits. What I'm saying. @@QuietStormX I agree 100%, I’ve actually ran into a customer who couldn’t pay. I kept the bike and he later paid, but even that scenario turned out trash too haha. He probably still going around lying to people to this day haha

Hey bruh, definitely time for a change. Get back to what made you happy. Dealing with people can be frustrating. People will shit on you if you let them. Get back to being stricter and happy. Not all business is good business.
Tiger ima say from a consumer perspective, from what I see, bottom line people are simply not honest. That's from dudes selling bikes, to everything you just spoke on the consumer side, but also shops. My 1st ordeal dealing with a particular shop after 3 months I ended up just donating the bike. This go round with a different shop I was told he needed 2 to 3 days, dropped it off Tuesday, it's Friday, and it hasn't been touched yet because he's busy with other projects. I see he hasn't touched it, because he posts the bikes he tunes and I see my bike sitting right where I dropped it. He's blocking off some time next week so thats when I'll be able to pick up my bike. Mind you, I'm going in the door with a couple bills to drop as a deposit because I understand time is money. Again honesty seems to be hard to come by these days, and it's unfortunate because it tarnishes your passion a bit, but also makes you suspect of everyone. I sincerely wish you the best bro, and at the very least hope you don't loose your passion and enjoyment of the sport.
Bro I feel you 1000% I trying to do something. I'm done doing extra shit people just don't understand.
Man it’s crazy out here lol 😂
Much love to you bro, Its hard out here starting a business. I hope to get back out soon. Stay up bro!!
Thanks man, and I’ll be roaming the streets soon.
It’s hard to deal with the public, some of them can be agiavating and have no respect for nobody it’s all about them
Yep 100%
Some people need a "How to be honest" tuneup, or a complete rebuild.
