Stroller/ Car Seat Hack

Here's a simple hack to get your toddler car seat to work with your travel stroller. In this video I'm using a Colugo Compact Stroller and the Cosco Scenera Next car seat with a simple luggage strap.

Does it move/wiggle a lot? Like if you are on the counter dealing with tickets, and the toddler is in the car seat and moves, the car seat will move a lot and be dangerous?

It would depend on how tight you make the luggage strap and how the base of the car seat fits into the seat of your stroller. I do caution against leave a small child unattended if in the car seat attached to the stroller like this. Keep the strap very tight, give it a strong wiggle to see how much movement it has, and use your best judgement.

Have you tried this on a double stroller ?

I have not. Let me know if you do and if there's any difficulty getting it firmly secured between the two seats.

I think this would work with many different strollers as long as there is a place to pass the luggage strap around it and the base of the car seat rests nicely into the seat of the stroller.

I believe they have since come out with an adapter for certain car seats with their updated Compact stroller

Baby safety and the word HACK don't go together.

I'm not suggesting you skimp on safety, nor am I suggesting this with babies. I specifically am saying toddlers as well as cautioning against using this without direct supervision. Let's be honest, traveling around with small children isn't always convenient and I've seen some pretty wild ways to make it work. Some safer than others. Rather than just making a blanket statement of NEVER DO THIS! I think the more realistic conversation is how to do things more safely.
