Hi Maki. I love your videos and find them very inspiring to me as a new rider. Can you do a video on your gear as well as talk about how you raised the heels on your boots. Thanks
Your doing great, I have the same bike, had it a year, also dropped mine! they are pretty heavy it's gonna go so far over and then no matter, its going down, it happens. Keep on going they are a fantastic bike, you can get oem levers cheap enough. Not dropped mine since, keep the revs up, familiarity with the clutch control , you clearly have the ability, once you are familiar with the bike you will be just fine :)
Now that i have watched both parts where you kept stalling and when you eventually fell, I'm sure all that happened because you were a lil bit scared to give it enough throttle. It is normal when you get a new bike, you need some time to get used to the bike`s powerband. Try this: When taking off, rev it a bit high like 2.5k rpms and hold it there, then control your movement with the clutch. You then add more throttle once you start moving. I hope it makes sense. If it doesn't, feel free to let me know, i can do a video for you on that. Mega love from Zim🤘
It makes perfect sense. Just came back from a 1800km trip in two days and I tried it. It works best. Thank you for the love. I also love your content hey 💯
Congrats on the new bike Maki!🎉🎉 Don`t worry about the bike height, eventually you will get used to it and find your way around it. Remember when you first sat on a motorcycle it felt heavy? But you got used to balance out the weight at stand stills. Just do more commuting with it and you will be used in no time! Ride on and be safe!! Cheers Unruly T.J🤘
yho, oh yini mtase sorry about the drop , greatful no harm to you and the GS well done for getting back on it and so glad the Booth lady was friendly and patient and you were'nt alone, wishing you many happy trips, as a vertically challanged person i have to get to a dealership and sit on the bike i'm SBWL'ing, also my limited GS knowladge has me thinking we can get some of those crash bar things to protect her, they will add to the already apparent weight but (just incase) yabo, keep going siyeza nathi apho 🏍
Thank you man 🙏🏾 we were both fine. If you are short you can always lower the bike or buy an already lowered one. Mine is factory lowered with extra low seat
Thanks for sharing ntwana. Beautiful bike and riding. I also dropped my bike when it was new, riding it for the second time, due to tip-toeing. I am a bit short, the bike is a bit taller, and I can't flat foot. But, learnt that I had to do squats for my feet's fitness and resistance. I am now used to it, and I can balance on a single foot. I am happy you are fine and the bike. I am inspired.
😂 definitely not the worst that can happen Rider. Glad you dusted yourself off and got back on. That's the spirit!!
Thank you 🙏🏾 I agree it’s not the worst. I didn’t die or hurt the bike
You're one hell of a trooper!!! Keep kicking butt. As long as you didn't get hurt, all good. Plenty more wins to come❤
Most definitely. The following week I rode to Swaziland. I’m so proud of myself

Which is best finance or cash buy?
Which insurance is more affordable and recommended for riders?
If you have cash I guess it’s the best. Insurance differs based on your profile and your riding experience
Try giving the bike a little bit of throttle as you release the clutch to prevent stalling.
@@reconnaissanceman23 thank you for that advice 🙏🏾🙏🏾

Beautiful video! I’m looking forward to being in Cape Town in October and picking up my bike from Donford Motors to ride in the Western Cape.
Wow that’s awesome, you finally coming? You are going to love the Western Cape

If you stop on a curved rd and put your foot down and find there is no road under your foot, and shit, drop the bike, nearly happen to me.

Can't wait for those cross country rides now. 🎉🎉
Most definitely 💯
Nice new bike. Stop and lean more to the left to put your foot down. It works for me. Never drop it once.

Shu I was hoping no liquid came out from under the bike, well done to the bike!
Yeah the bike was fine. It’s a GS it’s meant to fall
Maki what's behind the name "Nairobi"
One other thing...try to step on your footpeg and climb over. It is much easier to get on.
I’m scared 😅 but I will be practicing hard
My dream bike right there 😊. To more miles Nairobi 🎉.Do you have plans of travelling around Africa ?
It’s the best! Yep I will be doing a few African countries next year around this time.

Yep 😅 I bought my previous bike for learning on it

Oh yeah!
ohh noooo, i am sorry you dropped your bike, when doing less than 30Kph try using less front brake and more rear brake
