My favorite parts of the video...
    - when Jacob didn't talk.
    - when Alex showed Jacob how to use the mill.
    - when you showed Juda instead of Jacob.
    - when all that man glitter was flying out of the plainer in slow motion!

Love how you guys do due diligence and actual research before you climb into anything new..as per dog training, as per your new saw mill and the prep and care to cuts...etc.
I watch a lot of homestead channels because I just love the whole community, but some just dive in where Angel's fear to tread, it makes for good content, but I myself am a " anything worth doing is worth doing well" personality type, so I like that in you guys.

Tools...how awesome is that...we do have Eastern Red Cedar on our property...hubs. cut some down and made us a new wide entrance to our property with overhead and Flag poles...we have bought old wagon wheels over last year...so we accented our sides with wagon wheels ...beautiful wood! Sawmill and planer...well, no way for us...but so wonderful to see what can be done...lumber today is beyond out of sight...Hubs wanted to build us a 2 vehicle car port and a barn to store tractor, and other tools out of weather...all put on hold for now...hard being a senior living on SS money, so we have to pick an choose...but happy for you all!

Great idea! Years ago, while building their home, my mother planned for a 8'x2' closet pantry with two 3' side by side doors. She had the carpenter install one shelf about 1 or 2" lower in the front and put a lip on the front of the shelf, to stop the cans from rolling off. She laid the canned goods on the side, putting new purchases items in the back. She also put thin carpet on the shelves. Same could work with wire shelving that has a "lip" on one side.
Although, I love your idea also! It's nice to be able to tell in a glance what you're getting low on.

Jacob and Alex I don’t blame you one bit for doing the Can rotator in Cedar! I absolutely love Cedar is my favorite, had a cedar chest that my husband that past away had made me an when I was moving 5 year’s ago some one stole it and I haven’t been able to replace it , I know it will never be the one he made but I would love to have one back any way. But the first log you both milled up the end looked like a four leaf clover an it was only missing the little Stem, the only reason I bring that up is because it is something my husband would do was give me things that was shaped like four leaf clover 🍀 the most of it got stolen with the chest, but seeing it reminded me of it all. Thanks for sharing so much an I am sure the can rotator it will be absolutely beautiful in the cedar wood . God bless you both.

Hey Jacob you need to turn the idle screw down a bit to get rid of the clutch ping that its making at an idle. It will wear out the clutch prematurely. Great video though. Good to see you guys.

That planed cedar is beautiful! My property in Ms. has mostly pine, some oak, some pecan, trash trees. Wanna trade? 😸 Also, be willing to pet sit Judah in the bargain for free!!😍
