  • We have never had to experience this particular issue with our chickens. But today, as we clean out their coop and get them ready for winter, we have a solution that we think will not only help fix the problem, but also save us money in the long run. It could not have come at a more perfect time, as we are right in the middle of expanding our flock and raising the next generation of egg layers here on the farm! We are excited to see if this new feeder is going to help. We hope you'll check out the link below to RentACoop's website!

Hi good seeing you guys. Sorry about the chicken problem . Looks like you are doing all the right things after the fact. 🙏🙏 Prayers this helps solve the problem. Wood ash is all natural and is what I use all the time . The wood ash kills lice and mites pine chips are better for that as well. The turpentine in the chips help prevent lice and mites .

Love the diatomaceous earth and wood ash. We also use both and add some very dry soil. Our chickens don't love just sand so we usually try to mix with other things like soil, de, wood ash. They seem to prefer that. But we free range ours as much as possible and that seems to alleviate any issues. We love in michigan so in winter we have to give them alternatives for winter. They've done pretty well with the mix instead of just giving them one option.

When my brother was little grandma told us kids not to go around the chickens because they had mites and were being doctored. Well he went to the chicken house and yes he got mites. Grandma and mom were sitting outside on the porch and my brother came and sat down with them and started scratching, well don't remember what they did but they took my brother and got rid of the mites. So people can get the mites from chickens so be careful.

If you have to go as far as manually locking it to prevent raccoon then a simple brick under the platform would also help. And if your run is secure then that’s not even an issue. Hope to see more videos from you soon

Oh I wished they would of donated more than one feeder to you guys cause ya honestly use the things donated and not give them away like so many others you can see that do on U Tube. But in due time they'll see ya are legit and you'll be their best promoter if it does what they say. Looks like this product and company could have solved the chicken feeding and keeping other critters out. Good video Jacob. Alex I know your the camera lady but get that pretty smile on there. I don’t know much about chickens excepts what I have seen on UA-cam. I heard that you can make a dust bath from wood ashes and that would keep the mites at bay also. Since you just put in your fireplace you can use those ashes. Great way to recycle. Have a Blessed One. (Sorry, I commented before I saw the rest of the video) 😁
