Here is the beautiful Heng Long Jagdpanther 1/16 RC tank. It is an awesome designed and was actually called a tank destroyer as it did not have a turret.
For the crazy price of this it is hard not to buy one :)
I originally started my channel with RC tank related videos so I am happy to start producing some more.

Yeah a weathering series would be cool. I have been watching your channel for about 6 months now, since I got into RC trucks and buggies, and this is the first time I have ever seen an RC tank. I must say it is pretty cool. I will definitely be going back to check out all your early tank videos now that I see how awesomely they function. Great video.

That is quite a cool / nice / well detailed rendition of a classical tank sir :)
I allways wonder how well / badly tanks like this would do against scalers (such as RC4WD cars)? :)

Fantastic review, well done sir. After further review, I finally pulled the trigger, and purchased this Jagdpanther at AliExpress for $86.99 USD w/free shipping out the door. With the money saved I also purchased the Heng Long 69-081 Metal Drive Gear Box for this unit. $20 USD. Thanks again. Regards from California.

Pretty cool, wish Heng Long would come up with a StuG IV Tank Destroyer like the one I'm putting together with a Heng Long Panzer IV chassis and Asiatam StuG IV conversion kit, metal parts, IBU2 Pro board, Clark Model recoil/elevation kit and so on.

Great video. I bought a Heng Long Panther but it was one of those Pantigers. Half Panther, half Tiger. Didn't realize it until it arrived on my doorstep. No worries. Just change the wheels and redo the frontal armour so that it looks right. Not as easy I thought. It was one of the old 5 stage Heng Long models. So none of the Panther G parts would really fit the Panther A. Which is what I was converting it to. But I found that the wheels from the Trumpertier 1/16 panther G was perfect for it. Some metal running gear plus metal tracks are recommended. You will also need the longer version of the crank for the new panther G drive wheels. As the Tiger one's will be too short. You will also need to replace the idler wheels at the back to the correct one's as well. There's also the need to add some plastic tubing in the centre of the road wheels to A. Get the wheels into the right position and B. Fit the wheels to the axle. Otherwise they will just be flipping around. Getting the front of the hull is a right ol'challenge but once you've done it. It looks great. I would change all the plastic accessories ect for metal one's as well. As you can end up hunting for the bits that came off with the plastic ones that come off while in use. Which, even though I've glued them on, seems to be a regular occurrence when I've finished using the tank. As it goes like a tank. Drives through things like a tank but unfortunately doesn't stay in one piece like a tank. Lol. So yea. These things are lot's of fun. Just watch out for those bits that fall off. Lol 😆😆😈

I have a question. How do you fix the smoke for the smoke on the back of my challenger. And I really got tired of the fake sounds . And I seen people with their tanks and the turret goes all the way around. And the barrel has working realistic recoil. I wish I could buy the metal parts and gears and tracks for the challenger. But I only bought the challenger to start it up at the door to shut the dogs up and chase em with it.

Have a Henlong Panzer III grey one apx 8 years old with metal gears. My smoke unit failed on second run and bb mech stopped shooting but cycles and sounds ok just nothing comes out after apx 20 runs . Bought new haven't run it for a few years.
Have they improved these parts over the years?

    • @bludothesmelly

Dennis C i would say taigen is better made over heng longs still

    • @panzerwolf494
      @panzerwolf494 7 років тому

Heng Long has improved, but mostly for the newer models. Older stuff like the PZ III I'd say save up your money and buy something from Taigen or some place that's upgraded them. I've got the Taigen t-34/85 and Jagdtiger and they are beautiful awesome setups. Then I have a Heng Long King Tiger which is mostly a parts tank at the moment because stuff is kinda frail. Kinda kicking myself for not just waiting and getting that from Taigen too.
I think my next will be to finally break into Tamiya and get a KV-2

I ordered one of these a few years back. It was pretty much factory new, and I ran it on my smooth patio outside. Then after around two hours it refused to do anything. I recharged the battery and changed the controllers battery, yet it did nothing. So I returned it and got a replacement, which I only had run on smooth pavement and tarmac, then one of the tracks jammed for some reason and I couldn't un jam it no matter what. So I returned it for a full refund. I can't tell if I just had awful luck or the rc in both cases had flawed productions.

@@RCTanksTrucks247 Also I've noticed the airsoft is a bit more potent than it used to be. I have a ZTZ-99 from way back when...had to aim the gun vertically by holding stick down and letting it cycle, shoot by stick up...and that airsoft gun was pathetic. KV-1E? Actually smarts a li'l if it hits bare skin. Accuracy is...well, scale/historic, we will say, but it is definitely worth playing with.

@@RCTanksTrucks247 ha ha ha is it really? I've bought a few things from you for my tanks. Still using the Viper sound boards I got from you a few years back. Are these still being made? There's really only one other one available (from IBU) and it's double the price

The only con to this out standing tank DESTROYER is that the barrels it not 360 so you have to turn around to fire and an enemy behind you

These tanks are broken far more than they are running. Great idea, but terrible engineering. Unlike what this video shows....you take them outside and its all over. Soon they won't turn one way of another, and then the gears strip. These are propaganda sales videos paid by the Chinese to make you think they are fun and practical. Even with the upgraded metal tracks and gears...no good. After running them for a session, they are boring. They are nice static displays, but zinc gears don't work for long under any stress at all. Any small pebbles will stop the tracks. Any unsettling terrain and they won't operate. Get them wet and it's all over. They are amazing looking, well detailed, and accurate. Just cheap materials like most PRC items.....so they break...often.
