Those babies are SOW cute!!! 🥰 Once again I am sow impressed with your ability to just build something 😁! Great job 👏🏻😁! Love how green 💚 everything is getting! You and your animals have done a great job restoring your property! Greetings from North Carolina 🌄!
I appreciate the fact that most times to talk to us WHILE you work! I have to fast forward on many other channels (talk 15 min & show 5 min of the work 🥱). Anyway, thanks again & the shelter looks great 👍
I don't know why but every time I see those pigs scratching the first thing that runs through my head is "The Bear Necessities" from the Jungle Book, lol.
I'm still using a wooden version of this shelter I built immediately after I saw your first video 2 years ago. I used thicker, treated lumber for the frame and it has held up very well. Very easy to move and quite sturdy. I like your new design too. I might have to try it next
That's going to bright and shiny out in the paddock. Maybe you need to get your thinking cap on to build a movable, but sturdy, scratching post for the pigs. I've seen some using scrubbing brushes screwed onto posts. All animals love to scratch.
Hi Jason and family 👋 just us 2saying hi 👋 and thanks again for sharing this video update with all of us watching 👀 👋 sitting here in the UK where its raining cats and dogs 🐕 den and sue 👍👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🚌🚌🚌
@@SowtheLandthem piggies are so darn cute. I like the black and white ones the best. Cuteness overload 🐷 I also really like everything you 3 guys talk about! I’m thinking Ben is gonna have some wonderful news for us the next time y’all 3 get together. Meg looked way ready. 🤰🏼💕
As you were building the pig shelter, I think building it right the first time, saves you time and money. You won't have to build it again because it broke. I also like the way you've named the black chickens "Bernice"!
🇦🇺With your 1000 gallon water station, you need more of them around the farm. That way whatever animals can use the shelter plus they would have water. Or there would be a close water source for wherever you move animals.
I have been watching the latest videos for a while now, and I haven't had time to write for a long time. There is also a lot of work to do in the spring, so I'm busy. I really enjoyed the sleigh ride, and I also thought that the runners could have been rounded off more, like they are today in the paddock. Congratulations on your new pigs, may they grow strong and healthy. Молодцы!
I'm so happy when I see your video pop up. I love your channel and following along as you build your homestead/farm. I'm looking forward to following your garden season. Also to know what you will grow to suppliment your pig feed expence. Pumpkins, squash, melons, etc. Let cucumbers, zucchini etc grow extra large.
I was thinking about that too. I looked closely when the pig was scratching and it looks like the wooden knee wall raises the metal sheeting above the pig.
Remembering your first days with the first two pigs you got... You sure have gotten comfortable with pigs. Yes - trust no pig --- cause they are smart as all get out but they will respect you and be a friend if you treat them right. And they are quite enjoyable animals. They are fairly clean and can be controlled to a great degree. Big pig farms do get smelly but that is due to overpopulation...and lack of relocation regularly. You're doing great. Gonna ask about two things - salt licks (minerals) and something for scratching posts. The scratching is a big part of a pig's life. I never figured a good way to solve it except do it myself but that would be an all day affair...Pigs are so strong nothing lasts for long ... maybe a Y shaped thing with scrub brushes???
I like the rounding off on the skid. I like that bender that you have! I like the shelter you came up with for the hobbit pigs! I like it! Thanks for this video Contreras family!
Another great build and more comfort and space for the piggies. Before the babies were born the young piggies still looked like babies - now they look like the size Zeus and Elvera were when you got them. I can't believe you got them 2 years ago 😲 Thank you for allowing me to follow you, Lorraine and Penelope on your homesteading journey. Love to you all xxxx
Just found you guys ABSOLUTELY LOVE ❤️ what you are doing, I wish I could live there. There’s a sense of peace. Loved the little baby 🐖 🐖 piglets video. Subscribed 😊
Would love to hear a cost breakdown for the pigs and hens. Taking setup, feed etc all into account. We know it's not all about how much it's quality of life etc. We have a tiny 4 acre farm in France and these are things of use to us. It gives us a guide or starting point. Love the channel we started watching Justin and you about 3 years ago but justin lost his direction and us as followers. Keep up your good work.
Hi..... Jason nice to see you Love watching your video homestead. I want to start homestead but how their is on the hill mountain no water and no electricity and I don't have money to invest or spend in their so me the way how to make and how to start bye
A race car for pigs: a Hamborghini!
Thank you for the ham cam! I laughed so hard at that 🤣🤣
lol, Jason when you made the comment about the Cadillac of pig shelters, I thought definitely an Airstream! 😉😁
Best homesteading channel on UA-cam!

You are so welcome!
I totally agree!
Elvira did not have as many piglets this time but oh boy are they happy and healthy. No runt in that lot. Love that new shelter.
I am so happy you didn’t give up on Zeke and Elvira. They are a perfect pig pair.
Elvira is so proud of her little piggies….🐖 she struts her stuff,,,,look what I did! 🐷🐖🐷🐖
I’m always so happy to see a new video! And how wonderfully you care for your animals. ❤
I don't know why but every time I see those pigs scratching the first thing that runs through my head is "The Bear Necessities" from the Jungle Book, lol.
😂😂😂 great reminder of a funny scene!
Could you maybe fix some old brush /broom ends on posts or on the edge of shelters so they could scratch themselves?? 🤷♀️🤷♀️🐶🇬🇧
You should really make some scratching posts for your pics. They absolutely love them. You always want to keep the pigs happy.
Maybe you could screw a couple of broom heads to the corners of their new shelter.
leave a post with 4 feet underground and 2 feet in the air and drill just the broom part onto the sides of the post. helps with bugs on them too
Can you wash your pigs?
But he moves his pigs so that wouldn’t work
Keep big log or stump in each area for them to rub on.
Nice pig house should last a long time, nothing cuter them a baby pig
Plant clover along your fence and the pigs will love to keep it clear.

Ham Cam… 😅😅😅 too funny
Great looking pig shelter, Jason. Thanks for sharing. Have a Blessed day.
Hi Jason, with perfect white teeth! ❤❤❤
Let’s call them “ Pig Porters”!
Well done Mr. I like that tube bender tool you have. So much you could build with that
You got a pig sled ready to slide. 🛝
That shelter looks very sturdy and it looks good!

Great post🦋cutest 🐷 pigs and chicken 🐓 nuggets

DON’T FORGET
IT HELPS. AND IT IS SO EASY TO DO
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
That solid ginger color piglet is so cute!!!!!
No matter what the outcome will be for your pigs ( food, income or lawnmowers) you have given them a good life.
That pig shelter should last. The little piggies are so cute.
I believe you guys have the pig raising mastered .
Ham Cam haha.... 🤣

Such cute piggies!!! Adorable
Hi guys, it’s been a while. I really enjoy your videos. 😊 the piglets are adorable. Absolutely adorable.
Great idea , fence line crew. 🌱🐣🐤🐥🐔 More. clover seeds pleeze🐷
Babies are soon cute 😍
Is there any concern for the pigs rubbing up against the sharp edges of the tin and getting cut?
I was thinking about that too. I looked closely when the pig was scratching and it looks like the wooden knee wall raises the metal sheeting above the pig.
Awesome job! Always learning something new here!
It's a Kuni takeover! Lol!❤
Awesome pig shelter!
My favorite animal 🐖 🐷 🐽.
They’re so happy.
The pig Airstream mansion 🤣

How many nets do you use in one pig pen?
Those piglets ate cuties!
You always make me smile
Cool design! It’s similar to a porta-hut. Interested in how it’s been holding up for you.
Call it the PIG RIG.
Love the Ham Cam!
Watching you build again, makes me wonder if you do any of that wood wall art?
Hi Jason have you or (hi) Lorraine thought about selling rendered leaf and back lard especially if the Kunes have extra fat from what Ive heard?
You can clean their eyes. Kunes eyes get heaps of build up, aswell as other places
Hi..... Jason nice to see you Love watching your video homestead. I want to start homestead but how their is on the hill mountain no water and no electricity and I don't have money to invest or spend in their so me the way how to make and how to start bye

could you run more water line up the property that you can hook up to the water tank ?
That's a bute, Clark!
is that real tomato ketchup Cousin Eddie?
Looks stronger
Have ya though about maybe some broom heads on the edges they can scratch on?
Do you worry about them cutting themself on the tin?
Do Kunekune pigs get big enough for food?
