This has been a very wet spring for us in SW PA. I wanted to cut hay yesterday but the weather isn’t working out. Today was great for drying hay but tomorrow is calling for clouds and a high in the upper 60’s. Then rain Sunday. We need four good days to make our hay. One to cut, two to dry, and the fourth to bale. We can’t get that many dry, sunny days in a row. Like you said, the good Lord will provide. I just have to convince the human side of my brain to be patient. Good luck with your first cut.

Thank you, Sir. It’s Friday now, I raked and just got started baling before it got dark and dew started, we will take back up tomorrow. Rain forecasted here Sunday too. Good luck to you in the hay also!

It's that time of year! They're just now cutting around here. Glad y'all didn't get any hail.

Everyone's volume is up this year but quality is down due to rain. We will cut ours in two weeks, it will be hot and dry in Arkansas by them.
    Good looking chickens, thanks Susan.
    Good video.

Yes, should be at least a good year for hay storages for the coming winter. Hopefully we still get some occasional rainfall along through the summer for subsequent crops.
Susan is excited about her bantam hen raising more dibs. That little hen is old for a chicken, she is about 6 years old, gets very broody still. We put fertile eggs under her and she hatches and raises them great. She even "momma'd" 3 turkey poults once, LoL
Thanks a bundle my friend! Looking forward to seeing some of your 1st cut.
Tell Mrs Sally we say hello!

We're holding off. We need more than a "window" in Oregon. No way are we going to have our hay causing a great big barn fire.

Wise choice! Baling too green or moist hay can be disasterous! Let us know how your season progresses. Thanks a bundle for watching and contributing to the conversations....MUCH appreciated! God bless you and family!
