I’m on the bed in the hospital but my mum got me this synth. This is so fun just tweeting mobs, patching and it’s got sequencer. I can kill my time with it, now I got greedy and I wAnt one more.
Highly recommend using a compressor with the Mother32 to help maintain volume while adding resonance to the filter. I've tried a bunch, all the boss cs1,2,3 and several others.....best I've found is the Fender The Bends Compressor.
I would like to see a video of how you can use 2 Mother-32's together in more detail. What advantages it provides, vs combining with other modular bits or synths.
Using two M32s together mostly gives you a second channel to work with, but you can also patch one into the other and create even more complex sounds, using the oscillator on one of them to control various features on the other.
What's the equipment used in the total video? Especially the end three? I'm a noob and don't know how to make synths work - Like how many pieces of equipment does it take in total?
It’s great because you don’t need to know all the patch panel, so you can start out basic add build knowledge. Also it has a great way to learn synthesis with analogue oscillators and filters. Bonus having a sequencer to because you can get a tune going without requiring extra kit, it will work on its own.
I’m a teacher. Some people are kinaesthetic learners. The7 don’t need the theory, they learn by doing/interacting in a sensory way. Pavarotti had NO IDEA how to read notes btw…. Get a synth and play around and you’ll get it
just wondering - is this controlable trough a DAW too ? with the controllers in the edit screen, or is it just a midi control for the note on and off ? or can it also handle for instance the pith and modulation wheels ?
@@daniyalahmed97 synths add different harmonics. If you want to hear a guitar through modular gear(Surge modular, arp 2600), Check out Celebrity skin by hole. Also guitars Dope show from mechanical animals
Thanks for a great video. Excellent overview of an excellent synth. But may I suggest shooting the equipment on a less wobbly table next time? It looks like you're having an earthquake in there from time to time.
For synth demos I really prefer not tampering with the audio that much. Sounds heavily multiband processed and with ugly stereo phase issues. Hard to get a real impression of how it really sounds.
+Andreas Steinholtz No processing. For synths we always run a direct signal, and what you hear is what you get, with the exception of volume automation. Thanks for watching!
sounds great, but the "man bun" is so un-cool dude! But why a US Synth with Euro rack measurements? Call me old fashioned, but I like the original modular racks.

I hope you recovered well
Get the Grandmother ma dawg!
@@JulianMerkerMusic only his grandmother can buy that for him
She probably saw the name of it, bless her! Hope you recovered well mate.

I prefer the Diamond Compressor, personally
I have the mini dynacomp for my guitar. Will that work
@@saigonproducer only one way to find out!
@@CalebCromb I’m thinking of getting the Minitaur for bass sounds. Can the m32 do regular bass sounds like it and be played with a midi keyboard?
@@saigonproducer no, no regular bass sounds and very limited midi controls. I sold mine for a moog minitaur.
By far the best demo I have seen.
then you've never heard of nick batt
Or Starsky Carr, or Loopop!
Love it. Also: confused.
I understood very few of the words spoken, but this is badass
This was a super demo. Easy to understand. Thank you!
awesome video, great breakdown of the basic functions.
Now I need to buy one...

Is it necessary to buy this if you already own a grandmother?
Por Dios lo que suena eso, es hermoso
I'm in love

How is this as a first synthesizer?

@@RottenMechGaming amazing, thanks a lot!!!
I thought reading music was complicated, all these little holes bring complicated to new depths.

So.. it's kinda like if Moog made a 303?

Long long time Moogman...I want one...
Is the LFO syncable with the tempo?
LFO has a cv input so you can patch a rhythmical cv into it.
Is it possible to use an actual 3 octave keyboard with this?
Any midi keyboard will work, including a 3 octave or even 8 octave keyboard
PoopShipDestroy3r thank you for your response sir. I was thinking of old school 1 volt per octave stuff. But yes you are correct
PoopShipDestroy
Does it have midi in and convert that to CV or would i have to buy a converter?
I don't know what to make of Tapey's expression.
What was the purpose of the midi keyboard? I never even saw it get used..
if you wanted to you could plug it in and play chords or notes, but it isn't plugged in lol
John Meck can't play notes, it's monophonic
How’d he hook the qunexus up to the mother? I need to do this.
Umbilical cord.
😏
Nice...thx 🎼
Curious of the keyboard CV thing in front of the moog, can you please inform me what it is?
Late response but QuNexus by Keith McMillen...
Can you Save Presets
+Dante Myers no.
Could have given it proper ADSR
2:20 pfffffff fat sound!!
My mother turned 32 today, still she won't buy me this product :(
Does it come with the pads? If not what are those pads?
You dont need them, fyi.

wish YT had Facebook reacts so I can heart your comment
One oscillator and a filter? For 700 quid? You're joking.
How can you hook a guitar up to this??
One Way Ticket Videos what.....? Why in God's name would you want to hook up a guitar to this? That makes literally no sense.
great idea!

Not hearing it myself, sounds like DI to me. Thing that drives me nuts is the tuning, one of the evils of having perfect pitch I guess. Its flat

George Tempest at least he doesn't have the high bun

cool ass video of a synth and youre focused on a man-bun? what?
