My Hair Journey & The Upgrade Courtney Topper
Вставка
- Опубліковано 13 чер 2024
- Surprise! This video is not about paper crafting. Instead I share about my recent hair loss journey. And then I show off the UniWigs Upgrade Courtney hair topper, some of it's details, how to put it on, how you could customize it (by trimming, texturizing & adding clips), and some tips for washing/styling it.
If you are not interested, no worries. Just don't watch it. But I've shared bits and pieces of information during the past couple years in my live paper crafting classes, and I've had many message me privately asking for more information. So I decided (now that I have a topper I love) to do a separate video to share specifically about my experience and provide links for purchasing.
If you are also experiencing thinning hair or hair loss, I empathize and hope that what I share about alternative hair may help you. I'd also love to know what you think. Please leave your comment below.

It is so very generous of you to share your journey with this issue, Rachel. I am sure that countless women who are going through the same thing will be ever so grateful. Good for you!!
Thanks so much. Yes, I'm hoping that what I share will help others. The world of wearing wigs or other alternative hair can be intimidating.
You look wonderful!! Thank you for sharing.
Rachel- you are a blessing to not only paper crafters but also to people in the world. It takes a special lady to talk about any medical condition & then to discover a helping remedy that works for you & to share it with others. God Bless you for being a great human being & to share it for the others whom might be going through a situation and can benefit with your help. You are a kind person & a blessing to others. 🙏💕
Thank you for your kind words, Judy. Sending you big hugs!
Oh, Rachel, I am SO happy for you! You never complain, but at times, in your videos, you hinted at being unhappy with your thin hair. You look gorgeous with that topper! And my, you are so brave to sit there and record a video, okay, to help others, but still! You are an amzing woman, Rachel, and I feel priviledged to "know" you. Love and hugs!
You are so sweet. I'm tearing up a bit reading this.
I had so many reaching out to me personally once I started wearing them and mentioning them briefly in other videos. Making this separate video allowed me to give a bit more detail too. But yes, it was hard to be "raw" and show the off and on difference.
I can’t thank you enough for this wonderful video. I’ve been losing quite a bit of my hair, and haven’t been able to find a doctor who takes it seriously. The first dermatologist I went to literally LAUGHED and said “you’ve got male pattern balding”. There was no advice or follow up. I went to my car and cried. I bought expensive light treatments and shampoos. I find my hair everywhere. It’s embarrassing. Your kindness and positive bravery gave me hope. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. And just so you know, you look beautiful before and after the topper. It must be your beauty inside shining through!❤❤❤
Wow...what an insensitive doctor! I'm so sorry. And thank you for your sweet words.
Alternative hair is so widely accepted nowadays. I'm so happy and relieved to be done worrying about my bio hair. In fact I'm excited to try wigs now too. I'm so glad this gave you hope. Hugs to you!
Blanca, I am also sorry you had to go through that. I had a dermatologist do a biopsy on my scalp for a bald spot I had, and I was diagnosed with dermatological lupus. I am on a medication now that helps slow down the progress of my hair falling out. I would strongly urge you to try going to another dermatologist. I had two spots on my face that had been misdiagnosed as rosacea for years. It was also part of the lupus. It took me three dermatologists to get the right diagnosis and treatment. I would definitely recommend a second or third opinion for your issue.
@@deniselewis8581 Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful comment. As it turns out, I did go to a hair specialist who took a biopsy as well and I do have discoid lupus. His office was too far from me and traveling there was difficult, especially in the winter. After that I went to a new local doctor who left suddenly. I’m in the process of looking for someone else. Denise, your comment touched me deeply. Thank you so much.
@@stampyourartoutwithrachel Thank you once again Rachel. You are very sweet and caring. And by the way, I love your cards and your natural style of teaching! I’ll continue to happily watch!
@@blancaalves8250 thank you!
As a person with metastatic cancer, I've lost my hair over and over. I have always been sporty and athletic and didn't really do a lot with my hair, but despite all that, I found that the hair loss really affected my sense of being myself. I would often wear the bald or thin hair look (and even now that I'm on a therapy that doesn't cause hair loss, I am keeping my hair pretty short) to help "normalize" that for women and help others feel less alone. But like you say, every now and then we just want that hair experience. I'm going to look into this and see whether it might be an option for me. Thanks for sharing this, Rachel. It takes a lot of vulnerability to share our personal health journeys. You are lovely inside and out.
That sounds like a roller coaster. Big hugs to you! Thank you for sharing and for your kind words for me.
You look fantastic! The topper enhances your natural beauty and so happy for you. Very brave to talk about and I'm sure you'll help a lot of people that are experiencing the same situation.
Thanks so much Maureen! 😘
You are amazing and generous and thoughtful to share your journey! I’m happy you’ve found some joy and fun in what can be a hard time. Thank you!
Thank you my sweet friend! Hugs to you Jennifer.
Thank you Rachel for bravely sharing your personal journey. Your hair looks beautiful and so natural! I'm sure this video will help many people experiencing hair loss/thinning. Thank you for being so willing to come forward to all of us! You're the best!
Thank you so much Karen!
Oh Rachel, thank you for your openess of sharing. At 73 I have been balding steadily over the years (an inherited trait) mostly on top. I am very uncomfortable and work hard to deguise it. I am so grateful for this information! Thank you, and I'm so happy for you.
Big hugs of empathy to you! Hair loss is hard to cope with especially when we feel alone. I'm glad what I shared has given you hope for easy options. As I was telling another person in the comments. People that know me well don't know I'm wearing it and just say, wow...your hair looks great today. Sometimes I just smile and say thank you. But most of the time I tell them my trick and they are amazed.
I am 71…same…Thanks so much Rachel!!!!
Your topper is absolutely beautiful! Thank you for sharing your story. There are so many of us that are experiencing the same issue. We need to stick together and support each other. You are a blessing.
Thanks so much! Yes...we DO need to support each other. One thing that I love being a part of are groups for hair loss and wigs and toppers on Facebook. I've learned from many of the other members!
You’ll have touched the hearts of many women with your generosity and willingness to share, Rachel. This is so kind of you 🙏❤️☺️
Thank you so much Mary. ☀
Sometimes we are our harshest critic. You are already super pretty but if you are more comfortable that is what is most important.
Wow, love the new look on you. No one would ever guess that it is not your own natural hair. So pretty! I had to wear wigs after going through chemo. I didn’t feel comfortable in them. It was more comfortable in the winter when it was cold out. None of my wigs looked as natural as yours. So happy for you and you look GREAT !❤️
Thank you so much Janet. I think it takes a bit of work to find wigs and toppers that will work to your face, frame and style. Best wishes to you!
Thank you for being so confident about sharing something as personal as this. It puts others at ease, also. You’re the BEST, Rachel!
Thank you Peggy. 😘
Rachel, thank you for sharing your story! We hope our toppers make you more beautiful and happy!
You are a model perfect for this hair product and excellent presenter. Very kind of you to thoroughly share your knowledge and explain a product on your journey!!
You are so sweet. Thank you Beverly for your kind words
Thank you for sharing. My sister lost most of her hair to chemo; however, for a time she was able to wear toppers and it gave her so much confidence to feel more like herself. I see the advancements are even better now than even about 8 years ago.
It's so wonderful how far alternative hair has come. AND...it's nice to have the option of toppers!
Congratulations Rachael. You've entered into the wonderful world of no worry hair. I've been a wig wearer for years and would never go back to my bio hair. I never had much hair to begin with and styling it was a nightmare. Now it's a breeze and I'm so glad you've found the better way to handle hair loss. A plus is that it gives you more time to make those wonderful card videos that we all love. Keep up the good work.
I LOVED reading your comment! I have an excitement for all my options that await...and oh so easy to just put it on and go! Thank you Darlene.
It looks very natural, just like your own hair. I wouldn't even know you are wearing it. So happy seeing how it lifts you up! Thank you for sharing with all of us.
Thank you!
Thank you Rachel for showing this! It will mean a lot to many❤
😘
Thank you Rachel for sharing. Love that you included so much information, putting on while on camera, you are so brave. Care and maintenance, this will be so helpful for many. Thank you again.
Thanks Sandra. I admit it was difficult to share my before look so "raw", but the support of so many over these past couple years has given me strength.
Don't you just love how far we have come talking about female alopecia? I am so happy that you have let us know of your experiences and especially your success now. Excellent ❤
I do! Thanks so much Marilyn.
You are beautiful with or without the topper. So kind of you to share.
Thank you!
You look beautiful. Thanks for sharing. I have hair loss from being diabetic and lately under so much stress, my hair seems to be getting thinner. I didn't know about the topper, so thanks again.
It's an option that many don't know about. You are not alone. Glad that what I shared helped show you options. Thank you!
You rock, Rachel. Thanks for normalizing this condition. Best of luck on your journey. I think you are beautiful both with the topper and without!😊
You are so kind. Thank you Melanie!
Wow, Rachel, how brave of you to go on camera and sharing your hair challenge. I’ve watched your Stampin’ Up videos for quite a while but lately with some family challenges I’ve not been able to. I’m subscribed to your channel so this video popped up. So glad that I got to “stay in touch” with what has been going on with you. What an inspiration you are to millions of women. God bless, Susie
Wow, Girl, Va Va Voom! Tons of ladies wear extensions/pieces for fuller hair. I am glad you joined our club. Im so proud of you for sharing the journey as well. It will help those in need. You are a brave, strong, talented, amazingly kind, super crafty woman!!! Until next time. Hugs from Cali! Love Pam
Aww....thanks for putting a big smile on my face. (loved that va va voom comment...🤣) Yes, I'm excited for all the options I will have going forward. I just bought a few wigs to try out, too!
Rachel you are so brave to speak of your hair loss and toppers. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks Rosie!
Rachel, I want to tell you that I was so encouraged to always watch you with your thinning hair because I admired your bravery in just showing up as you were. I have a pretty big bald spot on the top of my head due to my lupus. I always felt like you didn't let your hair loss stop you from making videos, so why should I be so paranoid about my bald issue. I am happy you have found these toppers, and I am considering that as an alternative to my issue now, as well. I have stopped feeling like I can go to church because of my bald spot because people sit behind me and above on the balcony...I know I'm being too paranoid, but now this may be an answer for me to get back to church. I'm so glad I saw this video today!
I'm so happy that my sharing gave you some hope. Hair loss makes so many of us feel like we have to hide. But yes, there other other options besides wigs, scarves and hats. And toppers are so easy to attach. Sending hugs to you Denise!
How wonderful you could share this journey with us. You are beautiful inside and out and doing this video will help so many people with the issue of hair loss. Thank you for sharing. ❤
Thanks so much Roxann.
There isn't a person on this planet who doesn't have to deal with something, so know you are not alone in your journey. Thank you so much for sharing. I remember back in the 70's, there were wig shops practically on every corner. I wore a lot of them. I could certainly use them now, as my hair has also thinned with age. It was fun to have an "assortment" of styles to fit your mood or occasion. The topper you showed, really suits you. Wishing you all the best and turning a lemon situation into an Arnold Palmer. (Iced tea with lemonade) xo
Love the analogy Donna! My kids love the Arnold Palmer drinks. Hahahaa! And thank you!
Thank you very much for sharing your journey! I know you have helped many with your honesty! Just for the record, you’re beautiful with or without your topper!! ❤❤
thank you so much Maureen. 😘
You are such a wonderful person! Sharing this with everyone, is so kind of you.💖💖💖💖💖
Aww...thank you!
Thank you for sharing your journey and the beautiful solutions you have found. This will be a blessing to so many
Hugs to you Beth!
As a fellow SU Demo (hobby) I have always loved your SU videos; but I love you even more now, for your courage and honesty that will help so many others! 💞
Thank you so much Susie. Hugs to you!
God Bless you for being so open about this issue and sharing the info they need, to deal with their own hair loss. You have such a generous, caring, sharing personality. That's why I enjoy watching your card-making tutorials. You keep it real, with making mistakes and then showing us how to fix them. Thank you for keeping it real. ❤
Big hugs of thanks to you Lisa!
Very insightful! My hair has been thinning for years. The toppers seem like a miracle! Lol I REALLY appreciate your bravery in sharing so openly. I only found you recently but will be a regular! Thanks Rachel!
Thank you! I appreciate your kind words. Sending big hugs of appreciation.
Thank you for your sharing, caring and love for others. This was a wonderful video and so uplifting. Many of us have prayed for you, so glad you have this confidence to share!
Aw...thank you. Life is a journey. And I'm glad I'm at this point where I am not taking the drugs anymore. I'm losing my hair again, but I'm excited about toppers and wigs and all those options before me.
You are amazing Rachael!!! You're crafty, kind, sweet, honest, friendly, beautiful - inside and out, who wouldn't want you for a BFF!!! You may not remember me but I have had the pleasure of your personal phone call. I had signed up for one of your classes and ended up in the hospital with Covid several years ago. I was at deaths door but through the grace of God and the many wonderful caretaker's, survived and enjoying making cards and living life again. You made my day, actually my year, and a memory I will cherish forever. I always love watching your video's and learning so much from you but today you hit it out of the park for me with this video. I too have hair loss from autoimmune issues and have tried many different shampoos, treatments etc. This video gave me my aha moment! Thank you for your bravery in sharing this publicly, just add brave to your list of accolades, you will be helping so many. You are the gift that keeps on giving ❣Love and Blessings to you always, Judy ❤❤❤
Thank you for sharing Judy! Your kind & loving words touched my heart in so many ways. Sending big virtual hugs!!!
I'm so glad you are back enjoying life and card making again. Covid was unkind to too many.
And I'm super glad you now feel you have a different path you can take with your own hair. 💕
Not that you need anyone’s approval or praise- I hope you know how beautiful you are- but this new topper is awesome!
It truly blends and looks completely natural on you.
I’m glad you have this piece to make you feel more comfortable and confident. I know it doesn’t matter what we think- you have to feel it.
I’ve referred a couple of friends to watch - hoping they can experience more confidence, too.
Always enjoy your paper crafting videos and look forward to seeing what you’ll do with June’s Paper Pumpkin kit!
Thank you so much Lori. And thanks for sharing this with friends who may gain information from watching. (I'm anxious to get my June kit. I don't have it in my hands yet. Ugh...hard to wait ...lol)
Thank you for sharing. I noticed that your complexion looks brighter and now I know why. We all need to share things in our lives as you don't know who else could have the same issues or will have later.
Thank you for your wonderful discussions on your struggle. We each have something we deal with. Your new topper is gorgeous because it is so natural.
Thank you! Hoping to help others who struggle. And these comments are reassuring me that I may have done that.
You are gorgeous! With or without. It’s beautiful shining you eyes and your attitude. I so glad you found something that makes you feel confident! Love your videos too.
Aww...thank you so much Rose.
Rachel, you are so awesome and beautiful (topper or no topper)..... but, I do love your new topper. You are such a blessing to those of us who have a problem with thinning hair. And, your demonstration of how it works to have one is a blessing especially to me personally. Thank you for being so REAL and honest with all of us in our Stampin' Up! community of Demonstrators and Makers..... it helps us to learn more and like I said, especially those of us who have a thinning hair problem, as well. 😘
Thank you Kathy!
Thank you for sharing, Rachel. I really appreciate it.
You have so much confidence without the topper. You look awesome with or without it.
You are so kind. Thank you Debbie.
I just LOVE your honesty and vulnerability. You are amazing!!!
thank you. 💕
Thanks so much for sharing this, Rachel. It will help many others for sure❤
I’ve always admired you and this video is exactly why! You are in a position to influence so many women!!!! You could have hidden all this but instead you share your journey so others can draw strength and encouragement from you. We are truly blessed to know you!!!
You are so sweet. Thank you! 💕
Thank you Rachel. I too have blonde hair and at 67, it is thinning badly. I have toppers, hairpieces and wigs, but none are human hair. I find them hot and itchy in the summer. I did find a velour band you wear around (like a head band) your head so I don't have to use clips. You look beautiful. God help us hair challenged ladies.
Sending empathetic hugs! I have that band too. I just haven't tried it out yet. Do you like it?
Thank you so much Rachel. My thinning hair has always been a big stress factor for me. I have cried about it often and can’t thank you enough that you shared your journey with us. You are a blessing to me and I’m sure many others in showing us that we have options. Thank you so much Rachel; your topper looks beautiful on you. Just know with or without it, you are beautiful inside and out. ❤️🙏
Thank you Barbara. I feel for you. Hair loss is so hard to go through. But I feel so much better now that I have found this topper. And I'm learning so much that I've now purchased a couple wigs. I'm looking forward to changing my looks! A new phase of life.
Rachel, your video turned up in my feed as I have you on notifications, being a fellow SU demo and loving your work! I was in hospital last year for an emergency bowel op and then it turned out that I couldn't walk by myself and so I was in hospital for approximately 5 months. I am now in a group home waiting to get into one that is closer to my dad, but I digress. Anyway, all my life I've had gorgeous hair that I've looked after very well all my life, but since leaving hospital, when I braid my hair, I've noticed it is maybe a quater or even less of the thickness it used to be. So the width of the end of my braid is a quarter of an inch, if I'm lucky and the thickness is between 1/16 & 1/8 of an inch!!
The topper you got yourself looks awesome and if someone was meeting you for the first time ever, they would never pick up that it wasn't your bio hair! It looks fantastic and I'm sure that when you look at yourself in the mirror now, you are probably taken back to when you were a teen and having so much hair, and it looking so full!
The fullness of your hair looks so great on you, and I'd love to have that much hair back as well. I do have a wig, but it's a short, red, bob! I find it quite hot as well, so I'm thinking a topper may be the way to go!
Thanks again for sharing your hair journey with us, it looks great on you 😊❤ Cheers, Heidi from Downunder 🥳💕
Sending hugs to you Heidi! So sorry you have experienced all of this. Hair loss happens to so many of us for so many reasons. Yes, my topper always gives me a bit of a jolt when I put it on, because I actually never had this much hair. I've always been on the sparse side. I just purchased a wig to try out. So I'll see what that is like. But I DO like toppers and hope that I can continue to wear it for awhile. If my hair keeps falling out, it will be wigs for me soon.
Thanks for sharing this. I appreciate that you're willing to discuss it. I have a friend who lost hair to cancer a few years ago and I think she may have used this company for her in-between time. ❤ God bless, Rachel
Blessings to you too! Yes UniWigs has been around for awhile and they have such a wide variety of wigs, toppers and other products
It looks natural and comfortable, kudos to you Rachel, it is not always easy to expose our medical treatments or conditions with others. I did it when I lost all my hair from cancer.
Thank you Shirley. Hugs to you!
Thanks for sharing your journey. It looks great on you! It is wonderful to have all this information if I or someone I know would need it. I’m such it is hard to lose you hair and be vulnerable to share. Also your told health being more important. Prayers for God to be with you and yours
Thank you so much Joan! Sending hugs
I’ve been watching you for years because of your SU videos and often wondered if you’d share which topper you use so I was thrilled beyond measure to see your story tonight. You are always so honest, humble, and giving of information. I truly appreciate you ❤
Thank you so much Maribeth. ❤
You are so beautiful Rachel. Not just outside but inside also which is what counts the most. My hubby and I had a very serious case of covid a couple of years ago. God and precious friends took care of us for weeks. Unfortunately, both of us lost a lot of our hair . It started coming back for us very frizzy after 3 months. Gary regained his full head of beautiful white hair but I didn't. I continue to loose mine and it is very frizzy and fly away. Your courage and caring have given me new hope. I will look into the company you are using and seem to be so happy with. Thank you Rachel.
Oh Paulette! Can you feel my hugs? Sorry you experienced hair loss, too. (Covid has been awful to so many.) But yes, look into the options that are out there. I'm now looking at wigs too just in case I continue to lose hair at the rate I've been at lately. Keep me posted on your journey.
Rachel, you are brave to share your journey - I love it! I also have very thin hair and will look into this product! Thank you!
Thank you Susan. Best wishes!
Thank you for share this! I suffer with the same problem and feel so self conscious when I’m in public. I didn’t realize there are options!!!!
sending hugs of empathy to you Rita. I'm glad I shared information that is helpful to you.
It looks beautiful, but your beauty comes from within! I'm glad there are options for you and showing it to all of us who may need it too. Bless you!!
Thank you so much Linda.
I appreciate how you are sharing your story. What an inspiration for others that have the same condition. They look amazing on you and very natural.
Thank you so much Melissa. Sending hugs!
Very impressive presentation! You covered it as well, or better, than any salesperson! Pretty lady “bettering your best” as the saying goes! Enjoy your card videos, too!
@@vickymalin5773 thank you! ❤
Thank you for sharing your story. Many women will be helped by your generosity.
Thank you. That is my hope. Hair loss is a struggle for so many.
Rachel, it took courage to do this video. Thank you for sharing your story. I think you are beautiful either with or without the topper. 🤗
Thank you so much! It helps me to know that I'm helping others find solutions.
Thank you for sharing. I too have thin fine hair and am loosing hair mainly on the back crown. I too have gotten a topper. I feel much better about myself. ❤
High five to a fellow topper wearer!!
You made me cry with joy, knowing women who are going through chemotherapy or alopica have this beautiful product to help them. You are so brave and gorgeous.
Aww, thanks so much. Big hugs to you!
Very, very interesting learning about toppers. Yours looks absolutely natural and I can’t tell that it isn’t actually your real hair! Women are so feminine with lovely hair. Your ability to step out and share about your hair issues makes me more confident about my own future with my thinning hair. So far, I am okay with the thickness and length of my hair, but I know that there will come a time when I will want to take up your advice about hair toppers. How kind of you to share!! Thank you. Now I know where I can turn.
Thank you Pamela. I appreciate your sweet words. And I'm glad that what I shared gave you information that you may use someday.
What an inspiration you are for any women going through this process. I am sure your thoughts will help women to cope and deal with their situation so much more confidently. 😻
Thank you ❤
Rachel, your such is an inspiration for all of us with thinning hair. Thank you for being so open and honest. I found you to be an inspiration nit only in card making but life as well. Im glad i have gotten to know you and i love your videos. I hope we can meet someday. Maybe at the next On Stage. Cant wait.
Thank you so much! You are very sweet. Sending hugs from Minnesota!
Wonderful video! Thank you so much for sharing your story, it is inspiring to all of us with thinning hair!
thanks Cindy! thinning hair is more common than we know, too. hoping this helps share an option out there. :)
Your hair always looked good with the way you style it but the topper is a great option! I have thining hair and this would be a great solution! Thank you so much for sharing!
thanks Diana!
Thank you for your courage and transparency regarding this challenge! May God bless you and keep you and shine his face upon you!❤
Thanks for sharing Rachel. I have very little hair and loved the thought of being able to have a topper. Sadly, I couldn't find a short topper in white/grey. I liked the idea of the clips being on the side of the topper instead of in the middle front. You look wonderful with or without the topper but feeling good about how you look is the most important. I have been watching you for years and have always been impressed. Good luck in your journey.🥰
Thank you so much Phyllis! good luck in your journey too. white/gray will probably be very difficult to find in a human hair topper. But you can get most any color in synthetic if you are open to that.
So very kind of you to share this journey. I can tell from the comments you are helping and will continue to help many women. Thank you for this informative video! You're awesome!!
Aww...thank you Mary. If anything, I want those with similar hair issues that tune into my videos to know they are not alone and that could be an option.
Rachel, It's so good of you to share your experiences. You look beautiful.
Thanks Suzanne. 😘
Bless you Rachel. Thank you very much for sharing your hair loss journey. I too have thinning hair and your video was so helpful, it answered important questions.
Oh, I'm so glad that what I shared helped you a bit Michele. That was my goal...to help others.
By sharing your journey you are helping so many people. I have always admired your generosity in crafting and now you have shown your courage and generosity in discussing a condition that many women have
Thanks so much Patricia. 😘 Your kind words warmed my heart.
Thank you so much Rachel for your candor about something so personal to women!
Rachel I’m soooo happy for you! By sharing your experience, you are helping many others. You look fabulous - love that topper! You are a beautiful woman regardless of the topper … but it just magnifies your beauty ◡̈. Good for you! (We live in such a wonderful day and age don’t we?)
Thank you Susan. Big hugs to you!! Yes, it's a good time for those of us dealing with hair issues...so many options!
Thank you for sharing this, you are a blessing. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto' Thyroiditis in my 30's. I have numerous issues from that but the most distressing is the hair loss, and lack of confidence it brought. I literally try to make myself less visible when out in public because of low self-esteem in how i appear. Tried the rogaine route but that did not work for me. I am 76 and have never heard of toppers before, so thank you again for giving hope and showing the difference that can be made. ❤❤❤
Sending hugs hugs to you! And they are so easy to put on as you see. I hope you give it a try. Blending a topper's color into your own hair color can be challenging. But once you find one that matches and feels good, you will be in love. My youngest son didn't even notice I had extra hair on when I first wore a topper in front of him. And my husband and older son knew I looked different, but they couldn't figure out why. So I was sold right from the first time I wore one. And now that i have one that matches my bio hair better and feels comfortable, I'm so happy and completely comfortable wearing it.
Thank you, I looked at the site and hopefully with help of gal who cuts my hair I will be able to find something. My hair is kept short to help with thinness. Thanks again. ❤
I admire your courage to share this information! Mother Nature isn’t always perfect and it’s nice to know there are doable alternatives. You’re gorgeous regardless but our own self esteem/confidence is key. Again thank you 🥰
You are so sweet. Thank you for leaving such a kind and supportive comment Judi. Hugs to you!

Thank you so much Marsha for your sweet words. Blessings to you too!! 💕
I’m 76 and my hair is thinning. I see my stylist next week for a haircut because my hair is much to long and makes me look older. Hopefully we can make it stylish…perhaps we’ll discuss toppers! So thank you for letting us know about this option
Best wishes in your hair journey!
that looks fantastic. i wore a wig as we call it when I lost my hair to breast cancer. because I have red hair there was no match. I had to go to a blonde color but my hair grew back. i don"t know how you feel but I do admire you. Keep up the good work in your craft and your health. Well done to you. regards Debbie
You always look lovely, but I’m sure this is a true blessing! I have loads of hair on top and across the lower back of my hair…and thinner on the sides and crown! I had several surgeries in a short period of time, followed by mild Covid. And my hair started falling out , then just thin in places. This topper would be a good idea to try! Thank you for sharing your story.
Thank you for sharing Mary. Covid was not nice on hair for many. Yes, check out toppers and see if that could be something for you. I really love this solution right now.
Awesome video. My daughter has early stages of this hair loss. Thanks for all the information.
Thanks so much. Sending hugs of empathy.
Thank you for sharing your personal story with us. 😊💕 You are beautiful inside and out! And you are not alone. I suffer from the same condition that you do, in addition to inheriting my father's fine and not plentiful hair. I wasn't diagnosed with alopecia until I was 50. I truly hope that people have been kinder to you than they have been to myself. I've been bullied my whole life over being follicly challenged. By children throughout my school years, by hair stylists, and family members. I've gotten to the point that I have major anxiety attacks if I l'm forced to go out in public. So thank you so much for sharing a solution that I will definitely be looking into. Sending much love and many thanks to you. 💗
Wow...I'm so sorry for your past experiences. Not fun!
Yes, look into this option. Toppers may be your solution. Sending hugs!
Thank you for sharing. You are such a beautiful person inside and out.
😘 thank you!
I love the topper. You look beautiful. I watch your videos weekly and love them
Thank you Kathy! And I appreciate you tuning in. I love sharing the art of paper crafting and am so grateful to my viewers and commenters.
I've used living proof for 3 yrs. That only brand my beautician uses and I love it.
You were beautiful before and now. I know it gives more confidence , my mother-in-law had the same thing ,she has passed but she may have decided to do the same thing. Hair care products have changed so much in just a few years. I’m so glad you shared this information with women that may not know about the hair care that is possible. Thank you for sharing! I’m so proud of you ❤
Thank you Donna. 😘
Yes...wearing alternate hair is SOOoo much more acceptable nowadays. And they look so much more natural than ever.
Thank you for sharing. I have thick hair but I believe you have helped many ladies. Good for you.
Thanks so much!
You've opened my eyes to a new way to style your hair! Thank you for sharing your topper, and giving us some ideas on how to wear and clean one. You are gorgeous!
Awww...thanks Kathy!
Thank you for sharing. When I developed alopecia, finding a wig was so foreign to my thinking. It’s so helpful having a resource that is recommended. Blessings on your continued journey.
Blessings to you too! Thank you.
It looks amazing on you!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
Thank you!
A million thanks for sharing this valuable information! I’m going bald & it’s so depressing! Your video gives me hope! Hair & nails are a huge problem for me.😢 I will certainly check out the link you’re sharing! You’re beautiful with or without! ❤
Sending hugs of empathy to you! It's hard to go through. But yes, alternative hair is my choice now. I'm done with the drugs, oils, supplements, etc. I'm going natural up there and embracing it. Shopping for pretty toppers and even wigs now. Thankfully alternative has come a long way and looks so much more natural than it has before. Than you for your sweet words.
I love that you are sharing this video, Rachel. I too have had thin hair most of my adult life and have purchased toppers and some wigs as well. It is very hard to be open and let people know you are wearing them. It also took me a while to wear them out in public. But now I do with ease. I applaud you for being so brave.to make this video. You look so pretty in your topper. It looks so natural on you. I look forward to watching your videos with your new alternative hair. They just give us so much self confidence, don't they?
You are so brave, you are so beautiful with or without the extra hair. Thank you for sharing, I have thin, fine hair and may have to look into that . The topper looks wonderful!
Thank you Gretchen. Yes, it's good to know that this option is out there and is so easy and quick for the days you want a bit more hair.
I commend you for making this video! You are beautiful with or without the piece. You are an inspiration to many who are diagnosed with the same condition. The colors you chose are a beautiful blend to your own.
Thank you Rachel for sharing this amazing video!
Thank you so much for your sweet comment. Sending hugs of appreciation!
Thank you, Rachel, for sharing something so personal and real. You are a beautiful person and amazing soul. Keep smiling. 😊❤
Aww...thanks Shirley!
Rachel, what a wonderful and generous thing to do, sharing this very personal struggle. My hair is thinning due to medications I need, so I know how stressful this situation can be. I’m sure this video will help many women who have thinning hair. And, by the way, you are gorgeous with and without the topper!
Thank you so much Jeanne! And i'm sorry you are also struggling with hair loss. It's not a fun journey. But I'm now in a good place and excited for all the options I will have with alternate hair.
Alopecia can be cured. I had it it because there are different reasons of getting it. The reason I had it was because I had a stressful job and it was making quarter size bald spots on my head after I left the job. The hair filled back in so it depends on the type of alopecia you were experiencing. Thank you for sharing your brave journey.
I'm glad that changing your job helped your hair come back. Yay!
