      Idk why this comment just made me sad & miss my mom. She makes the best posole I’ve ever tried & now that she moved to a different state I’m not able to taste her food 😢 & she’s older now & can’t walk either

      I hear you. I lived in New Mexico for ten years and never tried pasole verde. Heck, I never even encountered it.
      I'll have to give this a go this weekend.

    Interesting. I use chicken when I make green pozole and pork for regular. This is looks tasty. I'll have to try this one when I make the chicken version. Pepitas!!! I'm definitely making this.

    Wear gloves or let the peppers cool so you don't burn your hands as you pull them out of the bag and then you immediately strip the skins off bare-handed... Impressive... Most impressive

    Love the technique about searing the meat 1st! What a mind blow makes so much sense to lock in the juices of the pork! Can’t wait to try this method!

    I followed the recipe, didn't put habanero but mine came out SOOOOOOOOO spicy 😭.my mom can't have overly spicy. What can I skip to make it less spicy

      Nope I’ve tried it and it comes out good as long as u use chicken breast. It comes out meatier

    Dumb question-- doesn’t the dry hominy need to be put through the nixtamal process? Or did it already come that way?

      I think you already know but just in case, hominy is nixtamalized corn.
