The movie over simplifies the problem that governments face in cracking encryption. Governments best shot is to get involved in the development or supply chain of encryption technologies, therefore develop the backdoors early in the process. That said, it's a great movie and is (I think anyway) brilliant at providing a generalists view of technology in a short time span. There is a lot that the movie gets right, while glossing over more complicated topics b/c explaining them in detail would confuse most people.

@@Ddgi-u73 Yea I think they did a great job of mixing in realistic applied technology with over the top ideas to keep the movie engaging.
I look at sneakers is just another thing Americans can figure out.
