@@Timberwolf69 this is a throwback to tech-house of the ‘90’s. Sounds exactly like those “hits”. Every song had that drum sample and that piano. Not to mention the breathy white girl vocals

@@Timberwolf69 it’s probably worth a listen. the problem is like everything, when a sound hits it’s copied by all. almost every track sounded the same. like when RAVE came about. artists, especially from europe had rave-like remixes. it got so bad it actually went pop. so of course the sound made radio. it’s was awful!! BAAUER is a cool producer/artist but this is a throwback. (a place i’m not interested in returning to). all things return. i’m just tired of dull soulless music. lately ROYKSOPP has been consistently putting out tracks that just don’t move me. they’re layered with alotta blips and sounds but they have no soul. i like all the new alison goldfrapp tracks BUT again… most of them are soulless. and that’s sad because i love AG. loving BIBIO, CLOSE COUNTERS, UMO, SAINT ETIENNE.
@@robertladdieanderson6085 Yeah, I agree. There are a few tracks from the new albums that I really enjoy, such as The Ladder (and the Goldfrapp tracks), but most other tracks feel pretty uninspired.
The whole media campaign hype thing and the constant shorts on youtube also feels like Röyksopp is trying to make waves in more mainstream electronics/pop radio circles. That might explain the duller sound of a lot of these new tracks.
Thanks for the recommendations, btw! Listening to Saint Etienne right now.
