As a long-time autism player I hate how this class keeps getting dumbed down, the new autism players don't even know classic combos like assembling hundreds of model planes, and instead they just get by with basic social awkwardness and fixations.
Dude they're adding Double Autism is that not enough? Sure Autism as a class is a lot more dilute, but for the people who want to keep it strong and pure, that option is available.

Yeah but other classes changes does impact us depression players. For example the adult extension pack of ADHD is giving you a reconversion opportunity, I personally am a day 1 depression player but since I have overlapping symptoms I can try a class change. In case of success I get to keep my depression build and unlock ADHD content, and I no longer need to delete my character to reach max lvl. And if I fail it will boost my desperation and self hatred which hopefully will get rid of the lethargy debuff I have. So win-win situation for me, that's a great update !

The derealization depersonalization buff this patch has really changed the meta with its synergies imo, for instance if a social anxiety player in 2024 picks up DDD they can cancel out the fear response from interaction while maintaining the buff of interpersonal skepticism, which leads to the creation of really strong cult of personality guild leaders that can form huge parties that can raid servers to get admin attention
It's pretty neat that you can easily unlock the DP/DR + panic disorder combo via high-level consumables, especially if you were spec'd on any anxiety skill tree beforehand

Point investment; despite there being certain niche multiclasses that work, you need to minmax well since you don't get the capstones. Vanilla 'tism still has very strong optional features like the +50% tolerance to repetitive tasks and the -33.6% living stardards minimum requirement

Multiclasses are definitely risky to play, especially in social media pubs lobbies. The more diagnoses you have the more likely you are to draw aggro in the comments and get reported for lying
As a multiclasser in Autism, Schizoaffective disorder and PTSD, I must say the render distance on my hallucinations does help with the debuff of my autism class in that I am now constantly bombarded with auditory hallucinations, so the patch must only extend to certain senses. Also, us in the PTSD class have now dubbed their boss battle “Sisyphus-ing” and have dipped into the addiction subclass to cope.

Certain mental illnesses can certainly be /emulated/ by specific parts, such as personality disorders and the like, but that doesn't mean they actually have it (and it's likely that if you have one cluster A/B/C PD some alters will experience different traits in the same cluster, especially if a caregiver and/or abuser had one of those PDs.) Generally, you have to actually have the disorder system-wide (especially with things like autism, ADHD, schizophrenia, bipolar, etc) for alters to actually HAVE that mental illness.
Take it from an AuDHD with a system (probably has DID but is undiagnosed) Everyone in my system is autistic in an entirely different way. One of us uses metaphors of a certain kind all the time. One finds it easiest to talk about herself. One is basically always in an energetic state. And one of us is a rhythm gamer.

I've heard some folks have been attempting to decompiled and scrape the game code. Evidence suggests the cool down factor is an exponential RNG, rather normal bell curve RNG. Sometimes it "crits" and can last a really long time. Hopefully there is an item to dodge the effect.
@@PatrickStaight Classic dual build Bipolar+addiction here, since the Beta. Yes your Ult has more and more cooldown over time. The longer "crits" are only for a special class (the Type 1), you've had to be in the Alpha to get it mostly. The crits also greatly boost the chance of self-destruct. But frankly even without your ult you can work up the quirks of the build and just treat it like a harder New Game +. No need for mania, just a good support and one or two tanks in your team, and you can even become a potent Dps yourself in creative domains, not in a glass-cannon burst option only !

Bipolar is no joke. I've been hospitalized 10 times in my life with manic episodes. I take my meds ardently and my mental illness hasn't affected my life in years. The main thing I ask when I tell people about bipolar is that if they think I'm acting strangely, please go online and look up the 7 symptoms of a manic episode in the DSM. If I'm presenting with 5 or more of them then get me some help I guess. Otherwize, please let me just get excited about things in my life without worrying "oh no! it's happening again". Defining the line between where I stop and my insanity starts has been a lifelong journey. Professional objective diagnosis are critical to me in this.

Got diagnosed with bipolar 1 after one psychotic episode that landed me a in a psych ward; I stay on my med and haven't had an episode since, that was back in like 2018. Psychosis is a hell of a drug.

did anyone else notice ocd was silently given more subclass versatility? I keep getting notifications related to a harm and existential ocd subclass even though I don't want them, and I can't find a way to disable them
The ADHD super skill can be accessed if all positive metrics (sleep, food, hygene, rest, mental juice, good environment, etc etc) are also maxed out, however reaching that point requires micro and macro managemnt of the environment and at least lvl 96 in the "self discipline" skill which can deteriorate very quickly
Teammates? What teammates? I am more than enough to challenge this game alone. The "people" that follow me are more akin to summons or consumables, don't put them on my level.
It depends on what build you’re going with, an example of social anxiety disorder will not allow you to have teammates, and instead will only be allowed to use other players as consumables or summons to increase their anxiety attacked. On the other hand builds like mass psychogenic illness require you to have more than one player on team. Another great build like this is narcissistic personality disorder in which the more members you have on the team you’re higher your self-esteem will be. Don’t worry you’ll still feel awful about yourself all the time, that unfortunately doesn’t go away.

“PTSD Tourette’s”,kind of funny because you can actually experience tics from PTSD and severe anxiety disorders, this is especially true if you have the trait functional neurological disorder unlocked. Lucky for you can get tics if you’re incredibly stressed and were tortured by your parents. It’s quite satisfying to me as a major player of this strategy for PTSD, making it way easier for me to toggle my FND, PTSD, and DID multi class. Finally, that cult training is paying off. Alongside this formally, recognizing animal alters and even higher alter counts, cool 😎
I also play this sort of thing, except my tics came directly from the trauma itself in that I got repeated strep throat infections, which lead to rhuematic fever and PANDAS as an adult. Pandas is really OP. It gives you tourettes, OCD, and insomnia. So my tics is related to my PTSD but not directly caused by it.
@@rhinosaur9636 ah quite simple actually, because of the dissociative barriers between ANPs(apparently normal parts, once who are disconnected from trauma) and EPs(emotional parts that remember the trauma). The ANPs only really affected by the FND when an EP takes front. So basically I have parts that can walk in that can’t walk, or etc., etc. with different symptoms from FND. You can understand why my doctor was really confused that it would just be seeing me. I would have paralysis after having a panic attack and then like an hour later I could be running a marathon.
The best thing to happen in this timeline is if Jr Egg gets all serious like and runs for Prime minster, he wins, and then switches to JREG mode the second he gets inaugurated. Shit would be AMAZING.

As a Dual Class Schizophrenic/ADHD, i hope you also decrease Negative symptoms. Every Schizophrenia main will tell you that the debuffs are to debilitating. I mean, you get to be hyper-powerful for a couple of months, but then have a weakend state at all other times. I literally had to spec into ADHD just to make up for that. Hyper exited for my new Autism abilities though, hope they can help me counter that a little more.

Yeah but other classes changes does impact us depression players.
For example the adult extension pack of ADHD is giving you a reconversion opportunity, I personally am a day 1 depression player but since I have overlapping symptoms I can try a class change.
In case of success I get to keep my depression build and unlock ADHD content, and I no longer need to delete my character to reach max lvl. And if I fail it will boost my desperation and self hatred which hopefully will get rid of the lethargy debuff I have.
So win-win situation for me, that's a great update !

The derealization depersonalization buff this patch has really changed the meta with its synergies imo, for instance if a social anxiety player in 2024 picks up DDD they can cancel out the fear response from interaction while maintaining the buff of interpersonal skepticism, which leads to the creation of really strong cult of personality guild leaders that can form huge parties that can raid servers to get admin attention
It's pretty neat that you can easily unlock the DP/DR + panic disorder combo via high-level consumables, especially if you were spec'd on any anxiety skill tree beforehand

Point investment; despite there being certain niche multiclasses that work, you need to minmax well since you don't get the capstones. Vanilla 'tism still has very strong optional features like the +50% tolerance to repetitive tasks and the -33.6% living stardards minimum requirement

Multiclasses are definitely risky to play, especially in social media pubs lobbies. The more diagnoses you have the more likely you are to draw aggro in the comments and get reported for lying
As a multiclasser in Autism, Schizoaffective disorder and PTSD, I must say the render distance on my hallucinations does help with the debuff of my autism class in that I am now constantly bombarded with auditory hallucinations, so the patch must only extend to certain senses. Also, us in the PTSD class have now dubbed their boss battle “Sisyphus-ing” and have dipped into the addiction subclass to cope.
Will we ever be able to reach the top of the hill, probably not, but luckily, with that this drug buff do honestly think I can try

Certain mental illnesses can certainly be /emulated/ by specific parts, such as personality disorders and the like, but that doesn't mean they actually have it (and it's likely that if you have one cluster A/B/C PD some alters will experience different traits in the same cluster, especially if a caregiver and/or abuser had one of those PDs.)
Generally, you have to actually have the disorder system-wide (especially with things like autism, ADHD, schizophrenia, bipolar, etc) for alters to actually HAVE that mental illness.
Take it from an AuDHD with a system (probably has DID but is undiagnosed)

Evidence suggests the cool down factor is an exponential RNG, rather normal bell curve RNG.
Sometimes it "crits" and can last a really long time.

@@PatrickStaight Classic dual build Bipolar+addiction here, since the Beta. Yes your Ult has more and more cooldown over time. The longer "crits" are only for a special class (the Type 1), you've had to be in the Alpha to get it mostly. The crits also greatly boost the chance of self-destruct.
But frankly even without your ult you can work up the quirks of the build and just treat it like a harder New Game +. No need for mania, just a good support and one or two tanks in your team, and you can even become a potent Dps yourself in creative domains, not in a glass-cannon burst option only !

the joke is that psychiatry is abusive and re-frames normal variance in human behavior as disease for the sake of social control, and it's ever-shifting standards as the social climate sways back and fourth are proof that it is as arbitrary as a videogame balance patch. somebody can absolutely have every "symptom" of some disorder and be a happy, functional person who does not need nor want harassed about it.
so, in essence, i disagree. bpd is definitely a joke, albeit a sick one that is used to justify abusing and killing people. this satire is more directed at the industry which gaslights you into believing you're ill than you yourself, but you aren't free of blame for being an idiot.
Got diagnosed with bipolar 1 after one psychotic episode that landed me a in a psych ward; I stay on my med and haven't had an episode since, that was back in like 2018. Psychosis is a hell of a drug.

The ADHD super skill can be accessed if all positive metrics (sleep, food, hygene, rest, mental juice, good environment, etc etc) are also maxed out, however reaching that point requires micro and macro managemnt of the environment and at least lvl 96 in the "self discipline" skill which can deteriorate very quickly

Teammates? What teammates? I am more than enough to challenge this game alone. The "people" that follow me are more akin to summons or consumables, don't put them on my level.
It depends on what build you’re going with, an example of social anxiety disorder will not allow you to have teammates, and instead will only be allowed to use other players as consumables or summons to increase their anxiety attacked. On the other hand builds like mass psychogenic illness require you to have more than one player on team. Another great build like this is narcissistic personality disorder in which the more members you have on the team you’re higher your self-esteem will be. Don’t worry you’ll still feel awful about yourself all the time, that unfortunately doesn’t go away.

“PTSD Tourette’s”,kind of funny because you can actually experience tics from PTSD and severe anxiety disorders, this is especially true if you have the trait functional neurological disorder unlocked. Lucky for you can get tics if you’re incredibly stressed and were tortured by your parents.
It’s quite satisfying to me as a major player of this strategy for PTSD, making it way easier for me to toggle my FND, PTSD, and DID multi class. Finally, that cult training is paying off. Alongside this formally, recognizing animal alters and even higher alter counts, cool 😎

I also play this sort of thing, except my tics came directly from the trauma itself in that I got repeated strep throat infections, which lead to rhuematic fever and PANDAS as an adult. Pandas is really OP. It gives you tourettes, OCD, and insomnia. So my tics is related to my PTSD but not directly caused by it.

@@rhinosaur9636 ah quite simple actually, because of the dissociative barriers between ANPs(apparently normal parts, once who are disconnected from trauma) and EPs(emotional parts that remember the trauma). The ANPs only really affected by the FND when an EP takes front. So basically I have parts that can walk in that can’t walk, or etc., etc. with different symptoms from FND. You can understand why my doctor was really confused that it would just be seeing me. I would have paralysis after having a panic attack and then like an hour later I could be running a marathon.

As a Dual Class Schizophrenic/ADHD, i hope you also decrease Negative symptoms. Every Schizophrenia main will tell you that the debuffs are to debilitating. I mean, you get to be hyper-powerful for a couple of months, but then have a weakend state at all other times. I literally had to spec into ADHD just to make up for that.
Hyper exited for my new Autism abilities though, hope they can help me counter that a little more.
