hey Cory huge fan !!! ... tank is looking great !! im not sponsored or anything, but try seachem flourish ... i used to have a black and brown algea problem in my tank and got rid of it using seachem. i was told to use it at half dose followed by water changes, for a week, with water changes every other day. not even a week later. the algae was all gone ! i was surprised cause cause its a fertilizer, i didnt believe it till i saw it ! especally the black algae. hope it helps !!!!
Couple things! First off that is absolutely awesome! Second how big is that tank and third! I found for tiger barbs if you put a large structure in the middle to break the line of sight they will tend to school and swirl around it really nicely!
200 tiger barbs in a 2000 gallon tank with 300 neon tetras. Better yet, do a huge planter tank with a huge school of neon tetras and turn off all the lights except the tank light
even if you would be able to see something that tiny in that tank, they wouldnt make it to the bottom of the tank before they were gone with all those predators.

800 gallon fish tank filled with hundreds of tiger Barbs? Don't Tiger Barbs pretty much all look the same? Why not mix it up with some Neon Rosey Barbs, Torpedo Barbs, Odessa Barbs, Bala Sharks and Redtail Tinfoil Barbs too.

I love tiger barbs, and I found that they would circle around larger branches and around large plants too, and that looks cool.

Blue shrimp would look so sick in that tank! They would also eat the algae too. Get them!
