Thanks for the review! I watched your review again before purchasing this today. Super happy with the purchase. Very floral up front for me…cinnamon, pepper and earthy with a nice long finish… Salud amigo!
Thanks for the review, I only ever see 1800, jose cuervo, or patron on my island so when I saw this brand being sold I checked your channel first to see if I could finally buy something good.
Hi, first of all I want to say thank you for your videos, they are the best and most informative out there in my opinion. I’m from Puerto Rico and have been trying to get my hands on a bottle of Fortaleza to gift to my dad ( the one who raised me). He told me stories about it and how much he loves it but since we moved here haven’t been able to get one. I would appreciate any tips on how may i get a bottle of it. Thank you in advance
Thank you for the kind words, but I would absolutely have no idea how you would get a bottle of Fortaleza in Puerto Rico, as we can barely get it here. Maybe you should contact them and ask if they are sold there in PR. On Messenger, you contact Kobe Desmet
It's not actually an XA, it's a blend, so they call it a Reposado.. and yes it's part of that line. I did a Review- ua-cam.com/video/JNNwf7em-38/v-deo.html
I really dug the Blanco Smoke. As far as the Cristalino, I had it when it 1st came out and I thought it was solid. Wouldnt normally touch a cristalino, but that one I would drink.
Everything being sold for quite a while now is the new updated distillery. As I mentioned in the review, as long as there's a paper label at the bottom of the front label and not a we're clear see-through label... it's the new stuff
I really like Volcán but their Cristalino I haven’t had. I am still struggling with that invention… I will try it When I see it, just because you mentioned
Remember I can't stand crystalino, and I've been saying that for years. I think it's a gimmick, and I think that it's a fad and still believe it makes no sense. They sent it to me so I tried it, and I have to say that I was surprised and I would drink this one and El Tequileño, but they're the only ones out of the multitudes of brands that are making them. Of course I'd still drink something else if it was available, but if it wasn't I would drink those too, but just those two. They're both additive free
Yes pretty good, and what I notice preparing for this review, was that prices shot up from when I started researching 6 months ago. Each expression is up about 10 bucks from just a few months ago.
Been hearing alot of good things about this brand. Gonna pickup a Blanco tomorrow. You taught me all Tequila starts as Blanco.
Yes tequila is Blanco.

Got to try these one day ! Merry Christmas Lou have a good one
Merry Christmas to you Grant, and thank you
another great review! Love Volcan , plus the blanco is only $32 in my area !
The Blanco's great and that's a killer price
Very underrated brand for sure, thanks for the review. Love the blanco and repo. Not a fan of Cristalinos so haven't tried that yet.
I can totally understand that reasoning. If they wouldn't have sent it to me I probably would have never tried it
Merry Christmas Lou, long cold weekend, stay safe down there.
Hell yeah buddy... hunker down, and Merry Christmas to you and your family
Nice review Lou, Merry Christmas

Hey Lou,
So which Blanco do you prefer the old or new?
I think I like the new one better made with the tahona and all copper distillation

Same here brother. That and El Tequileño's are the only cristalino's I would ever drink
Lou, how can we tell if it's from the updated distillery? My local Kappys actually has this but I want to be sure it's the newer. Thx Lou!

Ah! Ok Lou. Ty so much. I'm sorry I missed that in your video. Ty! I think thus bottle was clear but I'll dbl check.
Yes I did see! I was not thinking. Lol
It's paper!! 😆

Lou, Saratoga Wine Exchange has the blanco at $45.31 and the repo at $52.43. Pretty good buys for those of us on the east coast.

I have seen the first lot that are in different bottles. Wonder if the brand was fugazi in the beginning?
I don't think so, I believe Anna Maria Romero started the brand, so I'd imagine it was her making these. People tell me the old stuff was really good
you are really great well done
Thank you
I'm a scotch guy so I am interested in this!
You might enjoy the 'smoke', but it's light . If you're into a peaty presence, try El Tesoro Tesoro Mundial Laphroaig single barrel anejo
@@longislandloutequila7208 Okay! Thanks Lou! My favorite peated Whisky is Ardbeg.
