You are churning out these games at record speed. And they always look great. Keep it up! Meanwhile I've been struggling to finish just one game (also 18 cards).
@@joeklipfel3076 It's over-ambitious, but I'm trying to see if I can make a 4X game with only 18 cards. Its working title is "4X, 1 hand". It's a tableau building game that draws a lot of inspiration from Stellaris. But it's hard replicating that grand strategy feeling without using any components for trackers. Another challenge is giving the player freedom of expression (i.e. different playstyles) when you have to make overly simplified abstractions. And yet I'm still amazed at how deep a game I can make with so little cards. The 18 card format makes it effortless to prototype and experiment. So I'm loving the process so far.
@@DJVisser really happy to hear you are taking that on. I would love a good 4x 18-card game. Definitely a lot of challenges I'm sure but if you keep working on it you'll figure them out. Even if you have 2 to 3 viable strategies that would be an accomplishment given the size constraint. Best of luck with it!
Thanks for the video. Where did you print your cards? What type of cardstock? I've never done print and play. Just trying to figure out how to do it best.

Hi Joe We just picked this up on P&P arcade. Do you imagine this to eventually expand beyond the 18 cards or is that a game counter of sorts? Looks a little bit like Wingspan-on-the-go which is in no way a bad thing!
I haven't given expansions much thought yet but I hope to eventually add more content. Whether that's just more birds or something like round goal cards.

Nice! What's your game like?

@@joeklipfel3076 Thanks for the encouragement. I'll keep banging my head at it, and keep an eye on this channel for inspiration.
This game is freaking amazing, good job! (and yes I have played the /other/ bird game and this is still amazing)
I really love the look. I'm a huge 18 card fan.!!
