I tried this out in the dragonboat last night. I was able to reach futher, starting from the hips and avoided over extending my injury prone shoulder.

I am always told I don't lean and twist, but I feel as if I am 🤷🏽♂️
Right! I get it. However, it could be a coach just reminding the boat to rotate. But video doesn’t lie. Get someone to video while you paddle. Then you can see which part of the body needs to be activated; legs, glutes, etc.
