Dwired Oh there are a couple of songs he didn't perform live until the Canadian leg of their tour a couple months ago because he wasn't emotionally ready to sing them yet. His first performances of them are really hard to watch. They are really emotional. I pretty much came directly from watching those to watching this, so that's the reason for the comment. The other songs they perform live still have the same MT energy, though.

THIS SONG has such a bright, clear sound to it, that it makes my system sound even better. I don't crank up the recorded version here of course UA-cam KILLS quality in favor of space, and THAT is why you should purchase the high quality CD and go old school ... FLAC, WAV, lossless, whatever you young people call it nowdays but I call it UNCOMPRESSED sound files .. the best way to listen to music....These guys are GREAT ... I find myself always coming here on a weekend and just laughing at this video over and over.

It can be hard to know where to draw the line with fans though. Amanda Palmer has talked a lot about how much she trusts her fans to be kind, but she's always hearing horror stories about groping or stalking or other instances of inappropriateness. Could just be some of the band members have had some bad experiences or were having a bad night.

Really?? I'm so sorry that happened to you! I, personally, never had a bad experience with them at all! I've them about... Four times? Each time they were sweethearts. The first time was that concert in NYC and Josh had had vertigo. They performed amazingly (even when Josh finished his last song and almost collapsed. Matt and Ian had to carry him out.) Even though Josh couldn't come greet the fans, I remember being in tears when I met Mike and laughed and held me and told me to stop crying, that he was right there and wasn't going anywhere. I literally have a picture with me and Mike cuddling, he was the sweetest! Ian was as weird as ever but too adorable, and kept thanking us for coming and apologizing for Josh's absence. Matt, although it was brief, apologized for Josh, gave my sister a kiss on the cheek and me a hug and then we were shooed out of the club xD The next time we met up, they remembered us! Kind of hard to, considering my sister had bright pink hair at the time. And Mike, Ian and Josh were thrilled with the gifts I'd given them. (pretty sure Ian posted about it on twitter too). At the time, I'd just started the butterfly project, and had each of them draw a butterfly on me. Ian's response was one I will never, EVER forget. He'd grabbed me by the shoulders, shook me and said "Please don't do this. You are important to someone, to us. We love you" and then he hugged me and made me pinky promise not to ever do it again, to keep his butterfly alive. (In the end, they were one of the reasons I've been clean for four years now.) I am honestly shocked that they'd do something like that. Josh, while still sassy, was WAY too sweet, accepted and read all the letters given to him every time I met him. Plus, each time I met them, they'd hang out and make sure EACH FAN HAD BEEN TAKEN CARE OF. THEY WERE THERE FOR HOURS, SIGNING STUFF AND CHATTING AND SHARING LAUGHS WITH THE FANS. Marianas Trench is BEYOND under appreciated! I religiously listen to them everyday, their songs are so pumped with emotion yet they make it so happy, it's brilliant! Kills me 'cause I feel like they should be more recognized.
Marianas Trench is a pop rock band from Vancouver, BC, formed in 2001. The band consists of members Josh Ramsay (lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist, pianist, occasional drummer and song writer) Matt Webb (lead guitarist and backing vocals), Mike Ayley (bass guitar and backing vocals), and Ian Casselman (drums, percussion, and backing vocals). The band has released three full-length studio albums, the most recent titled Ever After, released on November 21, 2011, along with 2009's Masterpiece Theatre and 2006's Fix Me. Sometimes I take Josh's voice for granted, like, "Hey, it's pretty normal", cuz I listen to Marianas Trench so much... But if you really think about it, his voice is soooooo awesome and one of a kind. Like sort of raspy, but so comforting. :)
Honestly I love MT with all my heart but I'm not so keen on the last two songs that have been released. I understand that they are trying to branch out with a new sound and I have seen/heard parts of other songs on their new album that sound amazing but as for the singles at the moment? A little bit disappointed. I feel as if we as fans have been waiting so long since ever after came out and idk it just isn't looking up to scratch at the moment. Both two tracks were silly and taking a bite out of the music industry which was fine with Pop 101 ( which actually grew on me greatly) but did there have to be two singles? I just expected a little more depth after what we are used to. I just hope the rest of the album goes back into mtrench roots a little bit. I still tap my foot to the song but I don't belt along like I did with every other song by them. This may be an unpopular opinion but it is mine so :(
I kind of agree. And while I like having something a bit more light hearted to just let loose and sing along to, I really hope the rest of their album isn't like this. Whatever they do though, it'll be good, I just hope it's not what these last two singles are leading me to expect. Whatever, I'll always have the Fix Me album to obsess over, that'll always be my favourite no matter how much time passes.
Their satire of pop music is kind of what they're known for. They're just being more blatant about it than they were with albums like Ever After. I think the band is just having fun and a lot of people are having fun watching/listening to that, so I don't know where the problem is.
Well remember they've released some chill songs before while the rest where as they used to be clamberer B Team? It's same type of thing a song or two for a daily laugh and fun while the rest are men for more dramatic moments.
I wasn't really impressed with this song when it was released, but I still enjoyed it. After seeing the music video I feel like I can appreciate it more, haha. What goofballs. Can't wait for the new album.

Really?? I'm so sorry that happened to you! I, personally, never had a bad experience with them at all! I've them about... Four times? Each time they were sweethearts. The first time was that concert in NYC and Josh had had vertigo. They performed amazingly (even when Josh finished his last song and almost collapsed. Matt and Ian had to carry him out.) Even though Josh couldn't come greet the fans, I remember being in tears when I met Mike and laughed and held me and told me to stop crying, that he was right there and wasn't going anywhere. I literally have a picture with me and Mike cuddling, he was the sweetest! Ian was as weird as ever but too adorable, and kept thanking us for coming and apologizing for Josh's absence. Matt, although it was brief, apologized for Josh, gave my sister a kiss on the cheek and me a hug and then we were shooed out of the club xD The next time we met up, they remembered us! Kind of hard to, considering my sister had bright pink hair at the time. And Mike, Ian and Josh were thrilled with the gifts I'd given them. (pretty sure Ian posted about it on twitter too). At the time, I'd just started the butterfly project, and had each of them draw a butterfly on me. Ian's response was one I will never, EVER forget. He'd grabbed me by the shoulders, shook me and said "Please don't do this. You are important to someone, to us. We love you" and then he hugged me and made me pinky promise not to ever do it again, to keep his butterfly alive. (In the end, they were one of the reasons I've been clean for four years now.) I am honestly shocked that they'd do something like that. Josh, while still sassy, was WAY too sweet, accepted and read all the letters given to him every time I met him. Plus, each time I met them, they'd hang out and make sure EACH FAN HAD BEEN TAKEN CARE OF. THEY WERE THERE FOR HOURS, SIGNING STUFF AND CHATTING AND SHARING LAUGHS WITH THE FANS. I didn't even feel like a fan. I felt like we were just old friends catching up after a long break. They were so easy to talk to, and kind. Maybe Mike was just in a rush or something?? Sometimes I take Josh's voice for granted, like, "Hey, it's pretty normal", cuz I listen to Marianas Trench so much...
But if you really think about it, his voice is soooooo awesome and one of a kind. Like sort of raspy, but so comforting. :)
Honestly I love MT with all my heart but I'm not so keen on the last two songs that have been released. I understand that they are trying to branch out with a new sound and I have seen/heard parts of other songs on their new album that sound amazing but as for the singles at the moment? A little bit disappointed. I feel as if we as fans have been waiting so long since ever after came out and idk it just isn't looking up to scratch at the moment. Both two tracks were silly and taking a bite out of the music industry which was fine with Pop 101 ( which actually grew on me greatly) but did there have to be two singles? I just expected a little more depth after what we are used to. I just hope the rest of the album goes back into mtrench roots a little bit. I still tap my foot to the song but I don't belt along like I did with every other song by them. This may be an unpopular opinion but it is mine so :(

I kind of agree. And while I like having something a bit more light hearted to just let loose and sing along to, I really hope the rest of their album isn't like this. Whatever they do though, it'll be good, I just hope it's not what these last two singles are leading me to expect. Whatever, I'll always have the Fix Me album to obsess over, that'll always be my favourite no matter how much time passes.
Their satire of pop music is kind of what they're known for. They're just being more blatant about it than they were with albums like Ever After. I think the band is just having fun and a lot of people are having fun watching/listening to that, so I don't know where the problem is.

Well remember they've released some chill songs before while the rest where as they used to be clamberer B Team? It's same type of thing a song or two for a daily laugh and fun while the rest are men for more dramatic moments.
