I hadn't heard this in a good while, and 2022 Christmas time, got me thinkin about 'fave classic Christmas songs'. This def in the top 5! Nice remaster of it too! Though, whom could forget all that plastic booba?
I don't know like in other countries, but In Poland the most popular song of Christmas is....LAST CHRISTMAS 🤦♀️ Every year since... Nearly middle of November... And on December? Every day 100000000000 times on the radio. And i ask - WHY NOT MONTY PYTHON?😎❤️😎
I'm glad I came across this video. I've always heard that "there's toiletries and trains" as "it's quite a familiar place" for years, dunno why now I know what the lyric is
I didn't even know until now that a "complete" version of this song existed. In the film, Michael Palin (dressed as a woman) switches off the TV just as the song reaches the "disco" part. Thinking about it, though, would it really be Heaven if it were Christmas _every_ day? The novelty would wear thin for most people after about a week, I'd imagine.
Tony Bennet by Alec Baldwin in him as superhero movie Shadow, but other alter ego pops in mined as Alec Baldwin impersonation but Jaws' I, II and III for free on Christmas day :)

I hope Graham sang this to Terry J to welcome him to Heaven. R.I.P Terry Jones and Graham Chapman.
just thought of that a month ago..
Chapman passing first allows him to prank the rest...
Except that The Pythons are atheist.
@@deltanovember1672 I suspect God has a sense of humour, so they'll be OK.

My grandma would sing this to me on Christmas with the same cut out shirt as the women in the movie. The biscuits were unexpected.
Only problem with this song is that it's not long enough!
Along with Bright Side of Life and The Lumberjack Song, this one is one of my favorites.

This is and always will be the best Christmas song.
A different python song has that title
RIP Graham Chapman
And Terry Jones

Though Tom Lehrer's "Christmas Carol"

should be in everyone's collection too.
When I watched this masterpiece with my father in his old video, I realized the traditional Christmas carol had to be replaced by this
Woah, I had no idea that a full version of this song existed, I assumed they’d onky filmed up to the cut in the film.
lmao
People who haven't seen the original probably wonder how come this song was written by a comedy group.
But it's Still a good song IMO
Heaven has vegas producers apparently
I guess you have nothing to lose :)
Yeah, all the ones who've died!

Yay , extended Disco bit.
i love it!
Oddly poignant that Graham sings the last song in Python.
Also that he's singing a song about heaven and then dies a few years after Meaning of Life was released.

Throatwobbler Mangrove I've always kind of thought the point of the song was to make fun of the concept of heaven and eternity.
mimmar3891 I thought it was more of a perfect world in a sense; a finally to a great movie is what it was.
This gives me life
Wish there was a 12” disco remix of this!
2:06 best part :)
Who’s listening to this on Christmas Day?
Well that escalated quickly
Isn't it about time a campaign was started to actually make this Christmas number one this year?
Merry Christmas everyone!
When I was a kid I hated this song. I didn't understand it
About 2 decades later, I loved it XD
Ironic really considering the movie

Strange how this comes right after "Fuck Christmas" in the youtube playlist
Perhaps followed by "Merry Fucking Christmas " from South Park.

Pretty sure that’s meant to be a parody of George bush senior
This is just crap. How they've gone downhill since the TV series... unsubscribing from this nonsense.
Cut it! Cut all of it! This comment is silly!
