I do the accent lol..mainly during service or when I’m chatting with a friend and we are talking about service/a teaching..not to be offensive of course. I don’t think I ever gave it much thought to be honest. I think as people grow to know each other ,it’s natural we try and learn and share our cultures. Like it’s showing our love in a way. After hearing these conversations I do realize I see white in a different way. I really didn’t think I did bc my school growing up was so mixed-white,black,Hispanic,Asian, Indian.. but it’s true, when I see a white person at church it’s like “oh wow!”. And growing up we’d joke about having our token white friends if we ran into cop situations. I love both Hillsong and the African songs! I love the worship at KE regardless of the song🎶my spirit just connects and feels so free. I would love to hear the Spanish worship songs at KE❤❤❤
According to FBI.gov, statistics show that black on black crime is almost as equal to white on white crime. However, it is baffling to me why black on black crime is commonly used as a counter argument against the Black Lives Matter movement, which aims to address police brutality. It seems unfair to compare law enforcement officers, who took an oath to protect, with gangs in marginalized communities. It's disheartening when respected figures in the Church ( Mores esp some black Pastors) use this narrative against their own marginalized communities. Holding law enforcement to the same standard as gangs and marginalized communities without the same protections (as people in surbubs) is truly tragic and mind-boggling. I dont get It!
So good!!! It was nice hearing everyone share their perspective and experiences. 🔥🔥🔥
I love the open and honest conversation ❤ Thank you Mama Ruth and ladies for sharing your thoughts on these relevant issues.
