  • In this episode of True Crime Room, hosted by Derek Riedle, we unravel the shocking and tragic case of Jacques du Plessis, a husband and father whose life ended in his own home under chilling circumstances. Initially, his wife, Mariska du Plessis, claimed an intruder walked in and shot him. But the truth was far more sinister.
Thanks to the detailed footage captured by multiple CCTV cameras in their home, investigators uncovered a web of lies and deception, ultimately revealing Mariska as the perpetrator. What led her to commit this unthinkable act? Was it premeditated, or did something snap in their relationship?

Bev was there the first time she met Jacques. And also why was my first comment removed? Is everyone scared to hear another side of the story? For one he had some job offers but refused to work for a black person. She never use to put him down in public, not that I am aware of and we saw them often, as she was always afraid how he would react once people are gone! Not even to mention that Len would invite Jacques to smoke dagga with him when we were at their house. People should be careful to portray a story if you don't have the full story.

We have discussed our position on speech in more detail in the wake of this episode and will ensure that we act responsibly to the best of our ability, and that we ensure that this forum is available to the community to offer alternative perspectives. We cannot promise that some parties may not find offence with certain things along the way, but we will endeavour to ensure we maintain a respect for the right to freedom of expression that is guaranteed under Section 16 of our awesome SA Constitution.

This cannel keeps removing my comments, why? Don't you want the truth? They are also not showing the footage where he grossly kicks and strangles and pins her down to the floor. You are asking the wrong people. Bev and len are liars. Jacques drank everyday. He was a racist, refused to work, he was sexist and he was lazy. I saw him grope my mom, drink 12 beers before dark and pass out on christmas day, throw his baby around when he was angry. I also find it very suspicious how his previous wife died. I grew up with this man. I know the truth. Mariska wanted to do the right thing and thought he would change and wanted a father in their sons life. But he became worse by the day and unfortunately things ended in tragedy. A lot of women are going through this, lets try and reach out, hear them out and help them out.
