hahha yeah got to try to keep it entertaining I still don't know why all these paddlers are posting videos with music tracks damping the river sounds and nature and commentary i love hearing that on videos also
Really nice flatwater stern stall at the beginning, guy! I couldn't stick those at all after I moved on from the Dagger Ego and I miss staring at that bow in the sky. Maybe I'll try the Rewind out soon!
Not to bad Wade, not to bad at all, I'd say you like the boat with what you just threw down right there. Dang dude!!!! Save some Occee for the rest of us!
Ive noticed in some of your other videos that you have paddled the Antix. I currently have an antix. Love the stability, how easy it carves, and the fact that the stern doesn't engage when I don't want it to. However, I wish it had a little more rocker/volume up front and a little more speed. Did you find the rewind to be stable and not super squirrelly when you didn't want it to be?
I liked the Antix but is very very slow but awesome play Boat I think the rewind is way faster and a better down river boat and the play is pretty good for the length carves better than antix
I'm new to ww kayaking but not to ww. I used to be a raft guide in CA but live in MN now where there are good ww kayak rivers but nothing with enough volume to raft. I'm 6"4 and 250lbs and I got a dagger rewind. I cannot find stability in this kayak, I have only paddled IKs in the past or rec kayaks and this is a very different feel. I can't move my seat forward cause I'm too tall. Does anyone have any other tips to help with stability? So far I can't even keep stable on a choppy lake, much less a river haha. Thanks to anyone for comments. All the best!
Are you in the rewind L I’m guessing because if your in the medium at your height and weight your never going to be stable I’m that one. The rewind has almost no support behind the hips so if stability is something your after in a HalfSlice your not going to be happy with the rewind. Couple suggestions I would say look at it the Waka steeze and the ripper LG and if your not in the rewind LG you should be. But on moving the seat you can take that front bulkhead out and cram lots of foam in there so to get more leg room it’s little work but can be done.
@@WadeHarrison I know that this is an old video but do you think the medium would be good for 190lbs? 10 months later do you still think it is the best half slice that you have paddled? Love the stoke in this video!
You will not fit comfortably in the small. I'm 5'9.5 135. I had the same question. I got the med. Later I tried the small. It's not comfortable at all for my legs. So I'm glad I got the med! Ran lower Gauley in it few weeks back! My FTD. I hear the small ripper or Antix would fit me, but I have not tried them. Sticking with the med rewind for now. Getting the stern down is harder being on the low weight side. But I'm learning.. slowly.
@@WadeHarrison that's awesome! I have an antix and love the stability and the fact that the stern doesn't engage when i don't want it to. Just wish it carried a little more speed. Thought the Rewind could be the answer.
I liked the rawness, and hearing you talk through it. Nice
Thanks
That move at 3:16.... slick. So much momentum coming into that eddy!
Thanks
Most fun I think I’ve seen you have during an on water review. Your commentary while paddling in kore entertaining than most ww videos!

I really appreciate the reply. I will certainly have to check it out.
Where is the wave you caught at 4:02?
right below broken nose rapid before slice n dice its a hit on the fly wave really fun use the high up eddy to slow your speed

great vid it really looked like a fun run
thanks for watching
Assuming this was the medium? How did you feel bout the sizing and whats your height/weight?
This boat is sized perfect for me I’m 5’11” 170lb

You were digging that boat.
Yes
I’m 5 ‘ 10 “ 155 lb, would you recommend the small or medium?
Small would be more playful and medium will be better river runner

Why do you try to climb rocks? Is that on purpose?
its called a rock splat it feel similar to riding a wheelie on a bike
3:20 so rowdy! I gotta get my ass in one of those!
yes
so basically a god boat?
Yes
