Olya, the word "фiговий" is a euphemism for the word "хуйовий", which is obscene both in Russian and Ukrainian languages, and therefore it cannot be said in the presence of old ladies, Christians, and other rejecting obscenities public. It's like exclaiming "Holy-Moly!" or "Holy cow!" instead of "Holy shit!'. However, since your viewers and followers are young people, why don't you teach them to say "хуйовий"?
The adjective "паршивий" is derived from the name of the fungal skin disease "парша" (favus, scab). The use of this word in the meaning of "bad" in Ukrainian and Russian is similar to the use of the English adjective "lousy"-вошивий.
