Thank you for watching. I also filmed the old city section of Chiang Mai. You can find that video here in case you are interested: ua-cam.com/video/MPAr5fpk_Qk/v-deo.html

good point about being minimalist...travel (and life) is so much easier without baggage...it's amazing how much we often over pack. especially when going to a place like Thailand where you can always easily get necessities and buy things readily.

Totally agree! Keeping things simple when we travel makes everything smoother. It is surprising how much we pack unnecessarily!

So funny that they named their app the "grab" app. The Maya mall looks amazing and that area is indeed very busy. I like the old part better. I'm getting ready to go back to Iceland. Yes, I wanted to see the Westfjords this time around. ☺I rented a Toyota RAV4 (SUV, AWD, higher ground clearance) for travel + hotel accomodations. Now, I'm leaning toward hiring a modern day Dacia Duster with a rooftop tent to cut on accomodation costs in some areas (around LAtrabjarg and the red sand beach). Thanks for another splendid video 🙌

Sounds like an exciting adventure! The Westfjords region is breathtaking. The idea of a Dacia Duster with a rooftop tent is brilliant for cost-cutting but you might get good hotel prices if you book in advance. I booked almost 6 months in advance and saved about 50% of the actual price. The weather in the Westfjords is unpredictable and it could get so windy and rainy even in the summer time so I am not sure how the rooftop tent setup will work out with the crazy weather. It is good that you rented a car with a higher ground clearance because the roads in that region are rough. Enjoy your Iceland trip!

@@WandererBell You're absolutely right 🙂. I forgot about the weather conditions and now the rooftop tent idea is discarted and my Toyota RAV4 with allaccomodations booked remain. Thank you for your insights and possibly saving me from having cold sleepless nights in the Westfjords. 🙏

You saw a lot of streets. The houses in the residental areas were kind of big.
They say that as a dane you need some adjustments to drive in the left side of the road.

Indeed, the residential areas do feature some spacious homes and you are right about the adjustment needed for driving on the left side, especially for people accustomed to the right side. It is all part of the adventure!
