      Just the thought of me having to say goodbye to my boy one day saddens me to the point of having to fight back tears. My daughter is my whole world and my wife is as well but my daughters little Maltese has won my heart over. When I was severely depressed he wouldn’t leave my side. He always wants to be with me and the affection and love he shows is astounding.

      I just wish my Maltese wasn’t so agitated when is leave her and my other dog at home. She panics, scratches the woodwork, tears up carpet, and gnaws on furniture. Will start putting her in the kennel. Do they often have separation anxiety? Never had Any Other dog act this way.

    • @Howmyside
      @Howmyside 8 місяців тому

      @@christine9604frisco The only complaint I have of my boy is exactly that. Our family is held hostage to a tiny dog. He’s a great dog in every other way but the separation anxiety he has makes it so we can never leave the house. I can either have an outing with my daughter or with my wife or my wife and daughter can have an outing and I’ll stay home with the dog. We can’t really go on vacation or anything like that. Worst part is he won’t stay with anyone besides me my wife or my wife’s niece which he happens to be obsessed with even though he rarely sees her. Some days we’ve been able to pay her to dogsit so we can go out. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THE GRAND MISTAKE OF LETTING YOUR SITUATION GET OUT OF HAND LIKE WE HAVE, FIGURE IT OUT BEFORE ITS TOO LATE!

      Agreed and I have four dogs and I actually gave them a bit of the foods it was shown on the video. Like avacado and grapes. But obviously I don't give my dogs fish. Also we did found out that bones actually arent good for Maltese. My dog almost got choked from a bone. But yet it was cooked chicken with bone. So we decided to cook the chicken and take off the bones and feed my fur babies like that and they are doing healthy and well

    My raw fed maltese is thriving. The bacteria is mainly for humans to be careful. Dogs' stomachs are made to handle bacteria we don't.
    Also garlic is safe for dogs if fed in super small amounts. One small clove a week chopped up really fine and mixed with their food is good for keeping fleas and ticks away.

    It’s soo interesting that years ago we give our dogs bone and it was such a treat. I never had a dog choke or died from eating it. I have no idea how it became a no no for dogs now.

    • @MagicMan_NB
      @MagicMan_NB Рік тому +1

      Maybe what you gave your dogs was RAW bones. The video says no COOKED bones..... Or maybe cooked bones ARE what you used to give your dogs as treats and they LUCKILY didn't experience the risk of the bones splintering. (What IS the risk anyways? Maybe it's a slim chance hence why you didn't have any dogs choke or die but dog owners should know that there IS a risk (no matter how slim) because "better safe than sorry" is probably the preferred method for dog owners). Or other dogs HAVE been getting hurt and it should have always been a "no no" to gave a dog cooked bones and YOU just didn't hear about it until the internet made sharing stories easier. Maybe your dogs were bigger dogs than maltese? So the risk of splintered bones harming them was less relevant to your dogs. Or are you implying (by sharing that it's "INTERESTING" to hear how it's a "no no NOW" but was fine back then) that this cooked bone info. could just simply be wrong or a lie; or that bones might just be made differently now or something like that? Like what exactly is "interesting" about the concept that it WAS a risk that your dogs just didn't run across and now we know better. As if the idea of learning things and then improving over time is an unknown phenomenon...

    • @Ctmorgans
      @Ctmorgans Рік тому +1

      @@MagicMan_NB oh wow you just went hard on overthinking my comment. Me saying it’s interesting is just that…. I had no extra thoughts behind it. It just fascinates me that it’s an issue now. Ask anyone from the Caribbean and they will tell you they fed their dog the scapes of left over food and that was a staple. We’d cook some extra food to add on but there was nothing off limits. As a matter of fact my dogs loved fish bones as well. To set the record straight we never give our dogs raw meat or bones, we had chickens and other uncaged animals around the house/neighborhood and we wouldn’t want our dogs to have a liking for raw meat to attack them. I also had small dogs all my life, the pompek was the one my family chose. They lived outdoors and would sleep in the kennel that we built for them. Weekly baths and absolutely no vet visits or vaccines. We always said a dog isn’t a human. My dogs lived long healthy lives as a matter of fact my last dog before I migrated to the US lived almost 18 yrs and she died because we give her away and I guess she mourned us and stopped eating. Well at least that’s what the person said. One thing I can say is that we know our dogs to eat and regurgitate grass and we say that’s their way of purging and staying healthy. Most dogs die from being struck by a vehicle not from chocking. I’ve never heard anyone complained about a dogs chocking on a bone and I’ve met people from all different Caribbean island who laugh at that idea since we all give our dogs bones. We even read books and stories on how dogs loved bones so excuse me for saying that it is interesting that all of a sudden bones are dogs worse enemy.
