Part 1: (ua-cam.com/video/e8pJ6sNRG_g/v-deo.html) where I break down the recipe for this build and assemble the head using a real factory service tool! Part 2: (ua-cam.com/video/IMpwYubR18M/v-deo.html) where I build the bottom end with ARP everthing and forged pistons!
Nice! Be careful turning it up too much with the E30 blocks, they are more prone to cracking because of the lighter casting. And thanks for subscribing I appreciate that man!
i have an e21 and i cant wait to rebuild my engine. she spits smoke at anything past 3500 rpm -_- hopefully i dont mess it up lol thanks for these videos man
I use NGK Br7Es,, The protruded plugs i gave up on, the plugs stay relatively clean, and on boost i gap them down to 0.26/0.28 to prevent spark blow out.. excellent video tho im looking foward to the next one
Excellent videos! I am going to build m10b18 turbo in E30 318i 77kw. My plan is to used as much of standard hardware as i can and keep it alive with proper engine control with Emublack ECU sequential injection and ignition with 2 knock sensors, twinscroll EFR 6258 turbo (tubular short runners, bottom mounted turbo) and water intercooler running on E85. Regarding hardware i would love to get by only with rebuilding the engine plus oil baffles, MLS head gasket and upgraded rocker arms (hoping for 7000rpm) (i might have forgot something). yeah..... and point is not to blow that poor engine up having 300Kw at 7000 Rpm.... any suggestion highly appreciated :)
Hey Benjamin, Tony here. I just want to say, I really enjoyed your build video. I have a 74 2002 and I was wondering if I could get more information from you, regarding parts and what it would cost. Or even better if you would be interested in building the engine. I know it's a wild idea, but why not! P
I can't take on a build right now sorry about that. Don't have immediate access to a full machine shop anymore. Thanks for watching and subscribing man I appreciate it. To price out a build, best way is to go to real OEM and get all the part numbers then figure out the cost of consumables, then add that to whatever machine work is required when you disassemble and figure out what's bad.
Hey awesome build I plan to do the same next year. How did you get megasquirt to work? this is the last thing I'm stuck on before I start pulling the trigger on components. (What will I need to make MS3 work).
Your video making skills are getting a lot better. This engine rebuild series is your best so far. Very nice bike, I look forward to seeing that too. Speaking of BMW bikes, I don't know if you've seen this guy's channel, but prepare to have your mind blown. He doesn't just do the fabrication...he races his own classic bikes too. This is some next level shit: ua-cam.com/users/shiroh73videos

Really good video series thanks for documenting it
No problem I'm glad you enjoyed it
Once again lovely work.

You are in Northern California correct? How much would it be to drop off engine to have it rebuilt

I'm not sure on MS3, I'm on an MS2 box from 2005 and EDIS from a '92 Escort
Plan for where oil out and go to turbo and where oil out from turbo
is there a link to where you got all parts?
No, I buy stuff from all over the place. Ebay is probably my main source
thanks for all bro ,i have the same engine ican do it with the simple piston (stoc) ? if yes in how much pressure can bear ? tnx and good continuation
I have been for a while, didn't have any issues with stock. What exact M10 do you have? Some are stronger than others.
Also thank you for subscribing!
hi, do you have a diagram on how to set the heads and pistons before setting the timing? I have no signs. and the engine dismantled for repair.
Yeah man part 2 shows timing ua-cam.com/video/IMpwYubR18M/v-deo.html

Thanks for the kind words man!! WOW I know what I'll be binge watching for a while haha
where can i get a turbo kit
I've seen some on Ebay that look complete but I can't speak to the quality. I had to piece mine together.
